GTA V one is mind blowing, I thought it was real life video at first. It looks a little too blurry but amazing nevertheless.

its almost as if developers need to make sure their game can run on a variety of hardware!

Yes, however, the point isn't about getting them to do ray tracing, it's about them changing the game experience and their graphic textures.
And so far it's the exact same bs.
What's really not fair is them copying and pasting the same exact engine from previous gens over and over again. And I'm very assure modders has the passion to create lots of changes to their game. This is why they will never lose. Apart from gta online modders that is.

Assetto Corsa will never die thanks to modders. The developers said that rain and day/night cycles were impossible to do with that engine. Well they were wrong.

It's funny how Minecraft in this mod looks like real estate commercial. With the right mix of subtitles/monologue/intros, it could fool untrained eyes.

The definitive edition looks only slightly better than the original. To call it a remaster is honestly a joke. I think a lot of people need to take off their nostalgia glasses, it's really not good for 2021 standards.

Very nice video. But the scenes where it's only music are a lot louder than your speaking parts. Also towards the end when it's GTA V's second turn there's footage of the GTA IV map mixed in. Anyways, great work dude!

Forgot about this channel, glad to see it pop up in my feed! if I had to give a suggestion I would say to compare high graphics modded games to extremely low graphics modded games, where its surprising the game's polygons are holding together. I think seeing the contrast could be cool, but that's just me.

With that A.I one for it to modify more fantastical worlds, I think it'd be a good idea to build a physical model of an in-game setting and take pictures of that for reference.

Okay I love the video, it's really well made. However, you need to look into your volume balancing, the music is overwhelmingly loud compared to your calm voice. This is something even veteran youtubers struggle with tbh

halo 3 still looks insanely good for being 14 years old :) i dont think any other game from that era has survived looks wise as good as halo 3. i remember they talking about how they made way higher rez textures than the 360 could run and thats why it hasnt aged much imo :)

I think because the modders do it for fun and don't really want to be part of the company
Some companies do hire modders (I think Bethesda has been doing it) but as previously mentioned a lot don’t want to do it as their job. Similar to how you don’t become a programmer because you like games.

The in-house devs at the company can do better mostly, except for the few genius modders that can do better. But if the modder gets hired he/she is going to have to have to comply with the company standards, which is get the product out fast at the cost of quality. Thats why games look like garbage not because the devs at the company suck. "Modders make things so much better" they only make things better because they have free time. Devs working at the company aren't lazy, they have to shit out code and other shit fast cause they got other projects to work on and have deadlines to meet.
