I haven’t had any issues with Raccoons. I have however seen paw prints on the side of the pond that look like raccoons, but the ponds to high for them to do any damage. I do sometimes have issues with birds pooping a ton in the pond, which doesn’t hurt the fish but looks pretty bad.
I have a special pond heater that I put in the pond when it starts to freeze. I also disconnect the filter and have the pump spray water across the pond to create more surface tensions so ice can’t form.

Flatheads get enormous. You should probably mention this so people won't think they are proper for fish-keeping.

@@Nebraska_Fish Good, I was just asking because I used to have a koi pond at my old house and the raccoons ate them all.
