I absolutely love your reaction! I cried too! I’ve never been this excited for a movie ever! Cynthia and Ariana are perfect together and they said they bonded for life while making!
The visuals look great bc it’s mostly practical. The train The emerald city The Wizard head ALL practical. I watched some behind the scenes stuff. Looks magical.
Oh yeah, we saw the first screening and loved it. I've been saying it could be a "Titanic" sweep at the Oscars with a well deserved 12-14 nominations. ☺️
They are doing two parts because they are taking some of the story from the book that was not used in the play also they aren’t cutting any music and all because they didn’t want to disrespect the story in anyway.
I think that she did a great job and I almost didn't remember that it was her throughout the movie. I had the advantage of not really knowing her as I'm well outside of her target audience though. I mean, I saw her on The Voice, I could name a song or two of hers. I could identify her in a picture for the most part. That's about it. So I never really felt like I was watching Ariana, and it didn't take me out of the experience.
It's ok to not cry at everything, dude. I've seen Wicked 5x. Twice on Broadway with Taylor Swift sitting three rows in front of me and thrice at the Pantages in Hollywood with Eden Espinoza, Megan Hilty, and Adam Lambert in the cast and I was just happy internally watching this.
I'm very excited, Eric, since you asked. I love the book; I love the stage play. I'm interested to see how the makers will blend the two in this longer format... plus visual effects!!! 🩷💚

Are you telling someone when they should and shouldn’t cry? Or am I completely misunderstanding?
