She should have just been truthful, gave the history and stated her position on it. If they are pushing her as “black” to sell in the US and not what she actually considers herself, then yeah answer all the questions. This is similar to others who only identify as black in the US to sell to a specific demographic.

So she has already answered the questions elsewhere leading to disruption so she gave the list of what shouldn't be asked and what she wants to talk about charlamagne allegedly said no to the list but I don't think her team relayed the message to her and she was caught off guard so personally I think this was a whole media mishap leading to all of the diaspora wars. She is mixed in South A she is coloured in America is apparently only black or white mixed people and multi generationally mixed don't exist there. That was my first time watching a Tyla interview so for those of us it would be interesting to get her take. But to defer to her PR and not answering made it news when it didn't have to be.
