She should have just been truthful, gave the history and stated her position on it. If they are pushing her as “black” to sell in the US and not what she actually considers herself, then yeah answer all the questions. This is similar to others who only identify as black in the US to sell to a specific demographic.

So she has already answered the questions elsewhere leading to disruption so she gave the list of what shouldn't be asked and what she wants to talk about charlamagne allegedly said no to the list but I don't think her team relayed the message to her and she was caught off guard so personally I think this was a whole media mishap leading to all of the diaspora wars. She is mixed in South A she is coloured in America is apparently only black or white mixed people and multi generationally mixed don't exist there. Ladies, it is all about who manage and control the business. The issue of entitlement to the business and culture control and ownership without compensation to those who own the culture in America, being African Americans. They want recognition as sole custodians of the market of their culture and compensation.

She answered the question for interviewers that were the others therefore on this Black platform you decide you do not want to answer the question for the audience that is actively supporting you. Some people didn’t read your interview or were even knowledgeable of what you said in regard to your culture. Therefore the question needed to be answered if you want my black dollars Period

Remember Charlamagne asked her about this online debate about her identity as a colored person and for her to give her perspective on what it means.
That was my first time watching a Tyla interview so for those of us it would be interesting to get her take. But to defer to her PR and not answering made it news when it didn't have to be.
