Hall Autumn Leaf was offered by the Jewel Tea Company as a premium. Jewel Tea did door to door sales similar to Watkins and Fuller Brush. Some of the pieces pre1940s will glow under a black light.

Wow I remember the Jewel Tea coming to our house! I haven’t heard that name in forever! It just brought a little of faded memories with it but good feelings! I’m 62. I think I was 4-5yrs old when I remember them from.

The clear EAPG plate for $1.99 looks like maybe thistle. I think your instincts are correct. It does look like one of those patterns that would have been goofus glass. Your antique intuition is amazing. The new things will never erase the love and familiarity we have for the old. Keep living the dream!
Well that was so much fun. The crock was fabulous. I found a full-sized Christmas Story leg lamp for my husband for Christmas. I hid it away for four months. Yes, it is in the window :P HOHOHO!

The stone on the metal rob with the hook in top goes with an iron pot that would hold fuel by the fireplace. The stone is used to absorb the fuel and start the fire

At our church it is a ceremony at Christmas eve. One child is selected to place the baby in the Manger. Very sweet

I use my large crock as an umbrella holder by the door.
I used mine to hold my collection of rolling pins. Also have one by the front door as umbrella and shopping bag holder.

Went to my local Ill Will and was pleasantly shocked - spent $9 when I expected to find $0.00. They had two MOMA-issued posters new in their MOMA (Museum of Modern Art - New York City) bag for a whole DOLLAR. My art major niece is getting them - Picasso and Jackson Pollack. $6 for three fine art prints by a local artist with a current $375 retail. New in package. Got there at noon and some carts were just rolling out. Usually anything worth buying is long gone by then.
Love the glass flowers I think is a mix for a drink 🌺🌷🌹i love the last vase blu cold is good for yellow 💛 flowers or white one and the candy house 🏠 was amazing 😁

Oh...Those fragile drink viles from last time, I believe. I was going to share. Years back, my friend and I went to either San Antonio or Galveston, I can't remember now but we went to a club that night and they had bar hops dressed up in old school clothes with a tray that was holding those vials. The treys strapped up over their shoulders and kind of rested around the diaphragm area. They were filled with glowing drinks (shots). It was definitely different and interesting. I totally forgot about that until you grabbed those last time. I had never seen them before or since.
The mixing bowl is right on trend with the turquoise band on it as well!
And I have four cats I rescued from outside love animals I also feed alot of strays on my porch and backyard ❤

Was it Dagney that said the reason baby Jesus is sometimes missing from the nativity scenes is because some people put up the nativity but keep baby Jesus separate and they don’t put him in the manger until Christmas Day. So they stick him hidden in a drawer or something and he gets separated from the rest. Kinda sad when you think about it. 😅
At my local thrift store they told me people steal the baby Jesus because it's supposed to be good luck. It sounds more like bad luck to me.
I have heard that the baby Jesus is not placed in the cradle until Christmas day, but how does that explain the piece being missing from the rest? The people forget to include him altogether? And the nonsense about it being good luck to steal him sounds incredibly ridiculous. Who made that up....a. baby Jesus figurine thief?

I have the Autumn Leaves pitcher in the same shape as the cool pitcher you put back at 9:52 right before the Autumn Leaves tea pot. It was my great grandmas, so it has value to me. I'm guessing it will end up at a Goodwill once I pass. None of my kids or neices or nephews are sentimental. 😢

Actually, every cat has a different dander. Just like some people sneeze at different flowers. I was highly allergic and had childhood asthma. I am now 57 and can will not live without one or two. I was allergic to them all my life. Even took allergy shots. After a few times of the shot, I stopped. I was sneezing for a while but eventually quit! Doctor said you immuned yourself. Our body adapts. So have a cat. It will be great for the whole family. But don’t be surprised if your cat picks you as its main person! I felt you were a cat person. You have such unique and wonderful taste. It’s like you know just the right items to pick. I love watching and learning from you!!? You are awesome young lady!!!! I have great respect for you. And your children are just precious!!?❤❤❤😂

I’m mildly allergic to all kinds of animals. Cats, dogs, horses. But I become less and less affected by my own animals. I haven’t been without cats and dogs for decades. And I’m around horses all the time, too. Don’t even take antihistamines anymore.
