I was at a GW a few years ago and there was a guy working there that was just tossing breakables on the counter and then saying out loud how the customers must be breaking things. I looked at him, he looked at me and without moving my lips I let him know what I thought of him. He walked away quickly and I then told another employee what he was doing. I didn't see him anymore after that and was glad of it.
@@sissyrayself7508That remark was so unnecessary😮! The people that work at these shops are sometimes special needs. I think you need to delete this comment.
IT''S CALLED AN "EPERNEA" its french and I haven't spelled it right - you serve candies, fruits, cookies, petit fore's, bon bons, in it AND then you put the other larger plate on top for any larger items of food you want to serve - OR YOU CAN leave the top plate off and put flowers in it for the centerpiece.
Jocelyn, I have been a viewer sice the Vid took the world by storm. You are honestly one of the sweetest people on youtube. You treat folks with such kindness. No wonder your many endeavors are doing so well! People are naturally drawn to folks they trust. Thank you!!😊
Those yellow mugs you looked at brought a huge flood of nostalgia to me. My parents used mugs of that shape as their preferred coffee mugs. Of course, guests were given the nicer coffee cups with saucers, but my parents’ everyday mugs were those. Plain white and purchased at the local hardware store. Wow. My parents have been gone for years, but thanks for the simple memory. 🤗
When I find a baggie with one thing I want and the rest is just not for me, I pay and then open the bag at he check stand. I re-donate everything I don't want right there. They can resell and I don't have to waste time and energy. Win/win.
That silver plate set is for shrimp i believe- could be wrong. The bowl sits on top of the hole-vase which you put ice in then you layer the shrimp and the hanging bowls hold the sauces which can be removed and set next to your plate. ( could be totally wrong on this)
I've found fantastic stuff in baggies including a glassybaby, Viking Mushrooms, and fairy lights. One of my local thrift stores has a long row of baggies and I love looking through them because I almost always find something good.
My Mother rewired so many lamps when I was a kid. Second hand and sometimes flames left on the curb. She made us kids a coloring table using a wooden door. She was very handy. I miss her ,she passed away in may. She made do with very little money when I was a kid.
Hummel's were originally designed by Sister Berta Hummel, a Catholic nun. Look for Hummel figurines that aren't marked Goebel, but have Hummel incised on the base. Those can be worth a couple of hundred. They came in a variety of sizes, from a few inches to upwards of 30. Double figurines generally double the worth. Horsehair pottery is another form similar to Raju. The pots are taken to bisque temperature, removed from the kiln and hair, even human, is draped on the pot. As it burns, it twists, shrivels and leaves a black, freeform line. If the temperature isn't right, the hair will burn either too fast or too slow and won't fuse to the pottery.
The blue and white thing you looked and didn’t pick up. I think is a cauldron. I googled “blue and White Sea shell items”. And I went through every page and something similar to it came up. 19th century cauldron worth almost $ 400.00.
Christmas is almost here! You can use that Winter's cottage to decorate! Your whole family could enjoy it, and it would be a better use of your money. I think it's nicely Christmas-y!
Love to see what you find at the thrift stores!! Great finds!! You’re a sweet person!! Live you and your channel!! God bless you and your family!! Much love!! 💙💙💜💜🌺🌺❤️🌺💖💖💕💕🙏🙏🌹🌹🥰🥰😊😊🌹🌹🌹🌹
You might know this but I did not. Some of the Fenton birthstone bears glow. I accidentally discovered this when I placed a bear with a Ruby stone in a cabinet with some Uranium Glass. I was so surprised.
That gold picture from the 80’s sells pretty well. The geometric shape ones sell the best. I can’t even touch them at auctions, often selling for $50 or more. When I think back to when my mom first met my stepdad he had 4 of them in the living room. If only we could go back in time
I love watching your channel. Unfortunately I have been ill and have not been able to for a while. I have envy because our GW is really bad only one wall of glass, kitchen stuff and glassware. It is pitiful and I don’t like going there. I always sanitize my hands after I leave. I guess I just hope something will change. ❤
I've gone for the last time to my Goodwill, my gosh the prices are so over the top, it's quite sad to want to buy but a Vintage Shiny Bright container, had knock off balls, for $19.99, bags of Christmas ornaments $9.99 up to $14.99 for 4 to 5 in each bag and none of them are vintage, I've been collecting vintage, for 25 years , I have a feel for the older items, and I would pay a bit more but not at those prices.
Yes! I have a similar one listed that still has the unburned candle inside. I really wouldn’t have known that it was Jim Shore though if it didn’t still have the tag on the bottom.
I don't understand why they don't have something else on the metal racks to keep items from falling over. When I bought my rack like that from Sam's Club, it came with plastic "sheets" for each shelf. Even some cardboard would be sturdier than nothing
My thift store puts breakables on flatbed carts. I see your Gws just toss tem in plastic bins. Thats why all the breakables sre chipped. You might eant to mention to tem about profit loss with damaged items.
Always a good time watching you make your choices, I do however miss Laruel, and your honey coming alow and the other two , hope they all well, and happy.
I've given up on Goodwill, and Value Village aka Savers, I'm going to Habitat for humanity, their prices are better, and I have found so much vintage Christmas 🎄 I'm keeping its great😊.
I think I’ve seen you skip or miss vintage Watt Pottery a couple of times. There was a large casserole at 7:22 on the bottom shelf. It’s quite nice and still collectible. Not a huge money maker, but nice vintage pottery. 🙂
Hi I think the cat with wings is for a pet that passes away my dog passed and I revived a gift dog with wings to help me in my pain of sadness just to give you the heads up it might be but it's still good to buy it ❤
I prefer thrift shopping at GW or others, but it is really sad that some employees are not careful when putting them in carts or on shelves. Really nice items get a lot of damage and it is a real shame. I don’t honestly see customers tossing things around.
Love everything you do and don't mean any criticism in the slightest. Just wondering why you don't go to the purse section anymore - have there not been any good ones?
Once I donated Christmas ornaments to Goodwill at one of their trucks. The worker took the bag as I told him the items were breakable. He threw them all the way to the back of the truck and they shattered. I was pretty devastated. 😣
The little red glass hat, top hat, by the flower made in school you were talking about is probably Amberina and glows?? I didn’t get a good look. My daughter has one.
I believe I’ve heard you talk about Andrew’s metal detecting in previous videos. Does he sell metal detectors and if so could you provide the site or link? Thanks so much, love your videos and watch every day!!
How does GW feel about customers opening bags to inspect for damage? Because I know how I feel about purchasing things without being able to closely look it over.
There broken because it’s the way things are handled. You can just hear the workers when there putting stuff in the carts. Must people do not donate broken things.
What I really love about you is that you say positive things about items that you put back out on the shelves. You’re so positive !

That guy was one bad customer away from a shooting spree..you are lucky to be alive...Karen.

Sorry- that totally doesn’t excuse it.

I was thinking it would be so pretty with spring flowers in the middle and little petit fours in the dishes, maybe for Easter.
Image search cane up with epergne with serving bowls. None of them show the larger bowl. Neat piece!

We had mugs like that also when I was young. I am 59.
❤❤❤
🥦🟦❤ happy Thanksgiving and lovely yellow mug memories to you 🍁🍂💛

I think you're right! I was gonna comment but saw yours 😊
I've found fantastic stuff in baggies including a glassybaby, Viking Mushrooms, and fairy lights. One of my local thrift stores has a long row of baggies and I love looking through them because I almost always find something good.
I found Wheaton bottles! 😂
I found a whole baggie full of vintage rubber reindeer from Japan. I made a pretty penny off that baggie!
My Mother rewired so many lamps when I was a kid. Second hand and sometimes flames left on the curb. She made us kids a coloring table using a wooden door. She was very handy. I miss her ,she passed away in may. She made do with very little money when I was a kid.

You have a soothing energy about you.
I've been hand painting Christmas ornsments, and can see that sliver hanger thingy with three special ones, and some greenery in the top...
The blue and white thing you looked and didn’t pick up. I think is a cauldron. I googled “blue and White Sea shell items”. And I went through every page and something similar to it came up. 19th century cauldron worth almost $ 400.00.

That was a mandolin decantuer. There was a peach luster sugar bowl to go with the creamer at the first store.
Thank you for always taking us to thrift stores with you! ❤

I didn’t know this either until my daughter accidentally shined the black light in it! We’ve been checking all the glass we buy now.

It’s so nice when Goodwill stores aren’t blasting music!
Beautiful Victorian silver plated vase with dishes . At least $50
That is the.way the Goodwill is in my area. Find something great and has a chip or crack.
Goodwills around here only sell clothing. No Lilliput lane or David Winter houses available here.
Maybe the David Winter would do good in one of your booths? LOVE everything I have gotten from you!
The dolls at 13:30 remind me of the 1960s ARCO promo Dolls of the World you bought for 99¢ with a tank of gas.
Look at it the cottage this way- it’s been saved from being chipped while on the shelves and someone will want it
And snow covered for upcoming holidays!
I love the items you pick.
I don't like how Goodwill prices have gone up. They forget everything was donated I guess

How did you miss the red Fenton tophat?. Second Goodwill and right in front of you
I've gone for the last time to my Goodwill, my gosh the prices are so over the top, it's quite sad to want to buy but a Vintage Shiny Bright container, had knock off balls, for $19.99, bags of Christmas ornaments $9.99 up to $14.99 for 4 to 5 in each bag and none of them are vintage, I've been collecting vintage, for 25 years , I have a feel for the older items, and I would pay a bit more but not at those prices.
12:17 That's an epergne - sits in the middle of a table holding real or glass fruits and candies and looks pretty.
That blue pottery with the bird lid is actually Jim Shore! Originally had a candle in it
Yes! I have a similar one listed that still has the unburned candle inside. I really wouldn’t have known that it was Jim Shore though if it didn’t still have the tag on the bottom.
0:46 Waterford crystal heart shape trinket box.

I believe the silver 'apparatus' lol might be a sweet meat tree/holder. It reminds me of the EAPG versions I've seen.
Oh, that platter may be Tunisian!
Some shopping days are better than others. 😊
Always a good time watching you make your choices, I do however miss Laruel, and your honey coming alow and the other two , hope they all well, and happy.
Thank you for Sharing. Great shopping experience. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Omg I want that gold foil picture
That cast iron horse drawn ICEE wagon! !
The 'little goblets " are acty egg cups. Used to serve soft boiled eggs
That bulbous blue and white jack in the pulpit thing was beautiful!!
I agree! It was quirky!❤
I've given up on Goodwill, and Value Village aka Savers, I'm going to Habitat for humanity, their prices are better, and I have found so much vintage Christmas 🎄 I'm keeping its great😊.
The fancy vase with bowls I think they put flowers in the top.
The silver thing maybe candle inside to keep fondue warm.
Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃❤✌️
When I buy baggies I open it after I pay and donate the stuff back that I don’t want.
Same
You have a really nice goodwill
So sad some things are more expensive that new and then ending at the field. I stopped going to goodwills. Lots of people to
Love the September Fenton Bear!!
The instrument decanter is a mandolin
I'm late to the game, but I think the silver with 3 hanging bowls, was totally upsidedown
The musical instrument decanter is of a lute.
How comes you didn't pickup the red crystal glass hat toothpick holder. They bring a descent price
I think I’ve seen you skip or miss vintage Watt Pottery a couple of times. There was a large casserole at 7:22 on the bottom shelf. It’s quite nice and still collectible. Not a huge money maker, but nice vintage pottery. 🙂
The silver plate looks like it's for poppadoms and chuney tray from an Indian restaurant
Hi I think the cat with wings is for a pet that passes away my dog passed and I revived a gift dog with wings to help me in my pain of sadness just to give you the heads up it might be but it's still good to buy it ❤

That clay decanter looks like it’s from Greece, it’s called a bouzouki! Opa!🇬🇷❤️
That little gold horse was Dollar Tree
The decanter was a mandolin or a lute
😊😊😊😊How do. You stay motivated to list all your items???😮😮😮😮 I love shopping but listing is aweful 😂😂😂😂 let me know please
She has mentioned that she is more motivated to list items when she is excited about them🙂
Love everything you do and don't mean any criticism in the slightest. Just wondering why you don't go to the purse section anymore - have there not been any good ones?
That fancy thing could be a serving dish with hanging condiments?
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
I collect David Winters when I find them. Worth more than 30
David Winters were big in the 1980’s-90’s
Once I donated Christmas ornaments to Goodwill at one of their trucks. The worker took the bag as I told him the items were breakable. He threw them all the way to the back of the truck and they shattered. I was pretty devastated. 😣
The little red glass hat, top hat, by the flower made in school you were talking about is probably Amberina and glows?? I didn’t get a good look. My daughter has one.
You missed the red Fenton top hat at the last GW!
I saw it. I just don’t get that excited about the button and daisy hats. 😂
The decanter is possibly a Lute or a Tanpuri.
That fat tree would look good in booth with your ornaments to sell
Just an idea ❤️
I was at the same goodwill and picked up that same ceramic blue and white squid looking thing too… I had no clue what it was 🤣😂🤣
I believe I’ve heard you talk about Andrew’s metal detecting in previous videos. Does he sell metal detectors and if so could you provide the site or link? Thanks so much, love your videos and watch every day!!
I saw a tiny basset hound at 3:59. I know you pick that particular breed up. I also am a basset lover!!
I don't know. I looked again. It may be a spaniel.
Just watched your Thanksgiving video. Whats up w/Andrew? He's been scarce these days.❤
Your amazing your dog show all by your self was so much fun❤California
it's fancy!
Love the sweater for Laurel
Thanks Joselyn. On to the next one. 😍
"Contemporary" could be a drinking game
That green glass cup looked like glassy baby on the bottom?
Was that a red Fenton glass hat??
I wish I. Could get the brown casarole dish. Bottom shelf at 7:24. It's like the one my gram gave me.
Where did you get the "face" necklace that you wear? I like it.
Our gw takes returns within 3 days, you could ask at yours...
Does the little red glass Fenton hat have value? You appeared to miss it.
Glad your off to a good start!
It's a lute
Mandolin
Lute
I'd love to have that mid-century modern lamp (at 5:30).
Do you go to garage or estate sales? Amazing buys sometimes.
How does GW feel about customers opening bags to inspect for damage? Because I know how I feel about purchasing things without being able to closely look it over.
I opened it at the checkout. 🤷🏼♀️
Got my piggies..I LOVE them..thank you
There broken because it’s the way things are handled. You can just hear the workers when there putting stuff in the carts. Must people do not donate broken things.
The guitar may be a mandolin?🤔
Hi from Mexico 👋
