The puppet theatre is run by Rafaam, just like his shows in the set trailers!
This was the first thing I saw and I wondered if it's a hint that we may see a new Rafaam soon.
@@AntheanCeilliers I hope so! I have a meme deck I love returning to in wild that runs every rafaam card including the supreme archaeology quest.
Rafaam and Heistbaron Toggwagle are also featured as stuffed dolls mounted on the wall in Dorian's full art, and having Boom already be a major character in this expansion, perhaps they are hinting at the return of all League of Evil characters. Also the League of Evil logo is visible on the priest location.
I bet Dorian gets nerfed to 6 mana
No, it would be reworked to "cards you draw have +1 attack".

Dorian works really well with the location that draws battlecry minions in shaman.
And with big warlock + gaslight gatekeeper.
I'm making the call now. Puppet Theatre is going to be meta, this is one of those cards that scales with ELO. The better the decks you play against are, the better this becomes.
The Puppet Theatre is going to be great, because there are so many cards that the opponent will now not want to play. So yes, it might not be great to get a 5 mana Titan, but your opponent will now always think twice about playing their most powerfull minions which is valuable in itself.
6 mana 2/2 tho. Theather could easily be 3 mana I think.
@@ancient7716The stats don’t matter, your opponent won’t play their Titans, they won’t play their final Excavate Treasure, they won’t play their large swing cards with battlecries or Deathrattle. It has the same effect as a Mage Secret, but only costs 1 more mana and has 2 charges and the opponent can’t force the card to trigger by playing around it, like they can with secrets.
Also it’s fodder for 1 mana package in priest, which might push it into playable we’ll see
Ship's Chirurgeon + Funhouse Mirror will allow a lot of favorable trades.

Flavorful that "delayed product" is in the mini-set
Yeah some of these cards aren't the best gameplay wise, but the flavor has been absolutely on point!
Thanks Regis for still doing reviews for hearthstone your voice is the only one I trust for the last 8 years. Ik you haven't been as active playing standard hearthstone recently but your efforts to get reviews out is still really nice.
Puppet Theatre could be a good card in Highlander Priest to counter balance Highlander Warrior, just leave it on board to copy their Brann and Boomboss
Dorian plus the dragon priest draw card into Zarimi could be crazy. Is one mana zarimi nuts?
Dorian looks so strong with gaslight gatekeeper I honestly feel like it might be a sleeper op card
It will probably break the game in wild with 1 mana shudderwock, loatheb, gadgetzan auctioneer, and so on.

It costs 8 mana to do that, thats really slow, and you might jsut end up filling your hand
@@holgerandersen5177 I think that 8 mana is nothing for Druid, and filling your hand with 1 mana eonars does not look like an issue
I've been doing some climbing with a treant aggro Druid deck, overgrown Beanstalk is pretty sweet but I wish there were better treant generators right now

I'd probably like Dorian in Elemental Mage. Drop him on the same turn you reload late in the game and you get all thise good elemental battle cries for a third or fourth board.
Caricature Artist with this can make sure you are getting a big minion
Feels like Dorian will be great in Warlock on turn 6 with plot twist, or on turn 7 with free admission to tutor two minions. Targets for it... my mind immediately goes to the old Thaddius lock pieces which would be great here also. 1 mana Dar'Khan? 1 mana Tickatus?? Yes please!
Funhouse would be better if you summon a copy with 1 extra health so they have to deal with it and it doesnt feel like you wasted your turn
Just play the dragon pirate before casting the spell and you get exactly that effect.
i feel like puppet theater may be underrated. just having this on board will force your opponent to play differently. plop this on 4 in a reno list vs reno warrior....go ahead....play bran on 6 i dare you.

U want magtheridon for delayed products since dormant doesn't matter. Highly unlikely, but possible.
Toyranthus with brann is 9 mana elusive 21/21 +2/4. Well, only in wild
Actually not possible for Priest. Discover is class and neutral cards, Magtheridon is Demon Hunter.
Delayed product has bigger impact if discovering into a titan
Expect more wowhobb content with Dorian
funhouse mirror is kind of like reverberations but for priest! I think it is going to be pretty solid
Imo Reverb is way better because of the fact that you can guarantee yours to live and theirs to die with either 1/2 mana, or any small minion to trade with.
Funhouse has cool flavor (Darkmoon Faire!) but I don't think it sees any play aside from being a worse substitute for a card that rotated.

Yep. I feel Sonya already needs a nerf as it is. It pops the hell off with the miniaturize/mini pirate pair that reduce the cost of your next two cards by 3.
Ya, Puppetmaster was the obvious overpowered card right away. Ok, not even going into Wild where this is going to brake a lot of decks

Okay gigantify seems REALLY really strong - probably the most powerful keyword for arena yet
In arena that keyword goes crazy, the stat value is insane
I think dorian will be disgusting with the DH weapon, giving a 3 mana 6/5 and a 1 mana 1/1 that discover 1 mana magtheridons 💀
Both have mini, so in total off of one draw from the weapon with Dorian in play you get 4 discovers to try and get mag, 3 of which will cost 1
Delayed product will be insane the one time it gives you magtheridon but else seems underwhelming yea.
It's a Priest card, and Discover is limited to player class + neutral unless card text specifies otherwise, so Mag is an impossible pull unless you somehow get this card as DH

Plot twist Quest warlock is back !!!
Dorian actually makes the quest part of the deck worse. Here's the math:
You have 7 cards in hand plus Plot Twist/Gaslight, with Dorian on board. You Plot Twist the 7 cards away, and 4 of the 7 new cards you draw are minions. For each minion you draw, Dorian adds a Mini copy of it to your hand before you draw the next card.
This means that as you try to draw from an empty hand up to 7, Dorian adds 4 Minis to your hand mid-draw, which causes you to mill the final draw and proc the quest one trigger fewer.
This is assuming he works mid-draw, though, which we have yet to see.

Control priest is the most bullied archetype. They litterally resently stated they wanted to be careful not buffing it to much unintentionally, recently, with the Elise buff, when it was tier 4 across all ranks
Funhouse mirror is a new option there.
@@DJK5364 It's still kind of bad compared to previous removal (The Light It Burns comes to mind as a point of comparison)
@DJK5364 sure, it's fine single target removal but we lost all of our most efficient board clears compared to decks just building monster boards on like 3 or 4 mana, and no more renathal to help pad the life total into priest's power band

With all the spell discount cards you can play this turn 2-3 actually fairly often. Have big dude on turn 5 thats earlier than shadow essense
Not gonna lie, Im tempted to return to MTG Arena for this year. Im not liking the decks and the meta in this rotation. Reno decks, dislike them and not wanna play them.
I’d much rather deal with the shenanigans in Warpforge than all this bs in hearthstone rn
