    I've been playing HS since Beta and have slowly managed to become completely F2P each expansion but will occasionally buy the Tavern Pass if the cosmetics look cool. I make sure I get at least 9k gold each expansion, save all Tavern Brawl/event packs etc and open expansion packs to get mini-set cards. This allows me to get ~75% of each expansion which allows me to play 99% of meta decks. I did spend a lot of money in the early years of HS so I do have a massive mound of ~50k dust (but will never click that mass DE button xD)

      It's terrible
      The quest have become much harder and tedious and the rewards have not increased proportionnaly at all
      -it's a giant middle finger to people who don't spend a lot of time playing the game
      -hardcore players might get more rewards but the small bump in exp is not worth the time investment (plus hardcore players are more prone to buy bundles anyways and don't depend as much on the reward track)

      I find it ironic that they made an effort to get rid of bots and now the only accounts that can complete the weekly quests are likely to be the bots.

    I caved and bought The 2 Full Pre-Order Packs. Both for Titans and Badlands. I feel its quite a bit more than last year. But now this year going back to my FTP roots and see if I can climb to legend with pre-existing decks. Anyways thanks again for the Video. Sadly I don't have much time to play 7 hours a day anymore. Maybe 3-4 a day. Even then its crazy nevertheless

    As a former physical Yugioh player i'm still happy with hearthstone's model. Top decks in that game can cost from 400$ to over 1000$ (the current best deck) and you don't have the inconvenience of having to travel to the local card shop for 50 minutes back and forth while spending extra money on gas, tournament entry fees just to play the damn card game for 2-3 hours twice a week. One time i had to buy a card that cost me 80$ for a copy to complete my deck. For that amount you can buy a good chunk of packs to get essential cards in HS. From this perspective HS still seems like a great value to me.

    • @TeaRektum
      @TeaRektum 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@arrowgunt True but i know people which no matter how hard they try, they can't get people to sell their cards to after they are done with the decks. Also reprints massively destroy the value of your cards even if you were to sell them.
      To give you an example there was this card called Baronne de Fleur, that was massively influential for a while and used to cost between 100-50 dollars that you need to get for alot of decks. Then it got reprinted recently and dropped to like 2$ then last week it got banned and now you can't even use it in tournament play. At least in hearthstone you can use your rotated cards in Wild. In Yugioh there are no official alternative formats so that card you spent 50 bucks on can overnight not be allowed to be used anywhere.

    I spent way more this expansion to get the full collection. I bought the normal 60 pack bundle, 2leg + 20 packs bundle, and 2leg + 50 pack bundle. Besides the tavern pass. I'm missing 3 legendaries but have the dust to craft them. I also opened 37 packs from my own gold and rewards. For festival for example, I just bought two 2 leg 20 pack bundles, and I'm missing just 1 legendary. It was pretty much my luck. Because on Festival I was WAY luckier than in Whizbang.

    I have been FTP since 2020,I think. Played since 2015.
    Last expansion I did almost all of my quests (maybe 1 missed quest every month or so), completed all events and finished D5 in 2/3 months.
    Did almost all tavern brawls, too, maybe missed one or two. Kept the packs for this expansion.
    So now, during this expansion, I have been able to open 148 packs. I am currently on the track at level 50 or something. I keep track of all of my packs, too (i can provide that if someone is interested).
    My approach is to keep aproximately 1500 gold that I invest in 10 arena runs , and I average something like 3.5 wins per run, managing to come out on top with my resources.
    I end every expansion with close to 1000 dust left, after crafting every other legendary that I want and need. I rarely disenchant anything because I don’t need to, except for cards that are refunded due to patches.
    If anyone else is interested about my collection, let me know!

    As a person that plays many different card games (both phiwical and digital) i have to say hearthstone is one of the best sistems to get cards. I almost always have a full collection each expansion witout spending any money. This is impossible in almost all other card games

    ironically, scholomance was the last expac that I spent money on. The current cycle of powercreep makes trying to get a larger collection from each expansion feel less worthwhile since the majority of cards with a few op exceptions *cough* "OUR GIFT OF FIRE EMPOWERS US" *cough* become borderline unplayable outside their expansion when the archetype cards are printed for doesn't receive support again before rotation

      It's a difficult question. The answer depends on your expectations. As a new player, you won't be able to access all meta decks at once in the short term. But you can easily create several decks for yourself with high efficiency, which will increase the variety of available strategies. Currently, the most effective decks are almost free (do not require investing a large amount of free resources). The progression will be long but interesting. Now the game is more loyal than ever before.

    • @HearthstoneMathematics
      @HearthstoneMathematics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rayhanrabbani2323 Probably a few days after the start of the game, you will have access to 1 good deck for competitive play. To do this, you will need to complete a special Reward Track for newcomers. With the help of crafting you can improve the deck. You can also almost immediately create several budget decks with good efficiency. Ideologically, Hearthstone does not sell advantages; players buy variety for real money. But even without investing money, your collection will be impressive. In about a year, your capabilities will be little different from those of premium players. If you are worried about the competitive component, then don’t worry. You will always have enough resources to get the most effective deck.

    Hearthstone sucks and I am done with this once great game. Blizzard Activision made it a priority to stress D.E.I. in the workplace. Now we are stuck with unqualified employees who don't know what they are doing. Blizzard used to be one of the best gaming companies in the world. But since they let go of everyone with any talent all we are left is money grabbing broken games that no one wants to play. Video game companies are not the only aspect of everyday life that is going to deteriorate because of this insane idea of hiring unqualified people to run things based on what they look like. Something must be done before our society, as we once knew it, is destroyed.
