I love Sabian and very few cymbals from other producers have measured up to their quality and sound. I proudly play ONLY sabian and I'm proud that they're Canadian.
@MegaDrummer4ever they do some times I think? all I know is that I'm Canadian and I love the sound of Sabian which is Canadian as well =) there's also a large amount of cymbals the don't make the cut... also think of how many cymbals they produce and selll
would you recommend Meinl? I'm still looking to buy cymbals, my main considerations are Paiste, Meinl, Sabian, and Zildjian. All great with a wide variety. Very hard to choose!
canada rules eh? they make sabian cymbals, and that's freaking cool , eh ??..i love being canadian , and even more ,so the fact that sabian is in canada makes me even more proud !!
It depends on the model, i.e. most AAs are fully lathed while many HHs and old Radias are not. Riding an unlathed bell brings nice colors to the sound, for example alternating between china and the ride's bell with the shoulder of your drumstick (think Lamb of God)
The same guy that tested my cymbal 20 years ago probably tested the one I bought a few days ago. Mind blowing! Love my sabians! 14" AA regular hats 16" AA medium thin crash 18" AA medium crash 20" AA medium ride 14" HH evolution china 18" AAX china 8" AA splash
Alright, really sorry about your mom, didn't mean to touch that nerve :(. RIP. You just started out so violent, and for your information, I don't like fighting on stupid issues. I actually loved what he said and you misunderstood me. And what exactly do you mean by "Your tough" O_o On another topic. You play Sabian? :D
Sabian's are basically Zildjian's with personality. Ziljdian started it, but Sabian is actually still doing it. I own 2 HHX crashes and It was cool to see the Hand Hammering in part one.
sweeet!!!! MB20!!! Those sons of a b**** have some killer crashes and hi hats! the byzance isn't bad either, specially the brilliant ones. I'm not in for the jazz or the extra dry ones though ^__^
Hello ... I'm Venezuelan and I go to jail to manufactured Sabian cymbals, but do not give me food, I just want all different types of cymbals ... Laughs!
In every one of these videos they say "this might look easy".... seriously? Not to me! One slip and you've gouged the cymbal, take off too much and it's scrap. It has to end up at a certain weight, thinner at the edge and bell than the middle, all without being able to measure it.
That was just awesome to see how my cymbals get through the fatory
I love Sabian and very few cymbals from other producers have measured up to their quality and sound. I proudly play ONLY sabian and I'm proud that they're Canadian.
Love them for their sacrifice. Sabian Cymbals are amazing!!!
Apaixonado pela SABIAN 💙💙💙💙💙👏 VALEU.BRASIL.
I love the sound of cymbal's being lathed. I love cymbals in general! I
I love the little squishy logo stamp, looks like a marshmellow :D
SALUDOS DESDE CHILE .. SUPER BUENOS LOS PLATILLOS SABIAN ..
impressionante caramba muito massa brothers!!!
Love SABIAN .BRASIL
Is the 'Sullivan' poster behind Mark Love Jimmy Sullivan?
awesome factory and final product =)
Thanks a lot for making this video. 5 stars
Sabian is BEST! I like the variety of sound they offer you. Paiste are cool 2, it' just that their theme is more for vintage sound than modern.
i think they do the bell seperately depending on whether its meant to be lathed or not.
So I'm not the only one that noticed. The drum store I use specializes in Sabian and they have a similar poster up in the cymbal room.
man do I love the sound of an HH sabian...
@MegaDrummer4ever they do some times I think? all I know is that I'm Canadian and I love the sound of Sabian which is Canadian as well =) there's also a large amount of cymbals the don't make the cut... also think of how many cymbals they produce and selll
BRING BACK THE OLD LOGO
would you recommend Meinl? I'm still looking to buy cymbals, my main considerations are Paiste, Meinl, Sabian, and Zildjian. All great with a wide variety. Very hard to choose!
Yes Sabian recommend Meinl cymbals!
are they cheaper if you buy the cymbals straight from the factory. if so, around how much cheaper?
@MegaDrummer4ever they do, but you need to get them from a catalogue, i believe
6:50 and beyond, sabian has a poster of The rev!! :)
i think they lathe it first, then punk the holes, and then it goes around in the process or something. idk
The logo on the PARAGONS are painted too?
Damn i didnt see ur post right before mine.
man now i want to buy a drumset just to buy these cymbals very nice looking and prolly sound nice :)
prolly!
Oh my god !!! It´s ORGASMATIC !!!!
Czechoslovakia? This video took place a LONG time ago
@ 6:32, is he using a Weckl signature Vic Firth? hehe
Are those RBDR by the way??
canada rules eh? they make sabian cymbals, and that's freaking cool , eh ??..i love being canadian , and even more ,so the fact that sabian is in canada makes me even more proud !!
It depends on the model, i.e. most AAs are fully lathed while many HHs and old Radias are not.
Riding an unlathed bell brings nice colors to the sound, for example alternating between china and the ride's bell with the shoulder of your drumstick (think Lamb of God)
How old is this video? He mentions Czechoslovakia, that separated in 1993...
The same guy that tested my cymbal 20 years ago probably tested the one I bought a few days ago. Mind blowing! Love my sabians!
14" AA regular hats
16" AA medium thin crash
18" AA medium crash
20" AA medium ride
14" HH evolution china
18" AAX china
8" AA splash
Cool bro...I have
AA 14" El Sabor Hats
AAX 18" Explosion Crash (2)
AAX 18" Aero Crash
HH 21" Raw Bell Dry Ride
omg 6:37 there's a post of the rev in the background......
the rejected china @5:45 sounded better
I agree
Yea, that's where the low end sheet cymbals come from. (B8's, ZBT, ZXT, etc.)
Yes, the shavings from lathing and the shavings from edging are all recycled by melting them down into new B20 castings.
sabian is indeed the best cymbals in the world
so cool
Jesus i never knew that much work went into making cymbals awesome though
@16acog, yes, in theory no two cymbals will ever sound the same.
where is the factory?
sabian could engrave serial # and model on their product, so that when the logos disappear one can still tell what that cymbal is.
synthesaurus Art doesn’t have a serial number I guess
I wish I could work for Sabian just to get discounts. HHX! :D
6:36 the posters in the the back R.I.P jimmy...
4:20 best job in the world!!
I'd make a reverse RBDR. Stick def. of the raw bow and the lathed bell gives ping....
I have an aax studio crash that is heavier on one side.
At the Paiste Factory there's no mess-ups
8:24
I don't get why everyone debates over which cymbal/drum brand is superior. If a cymbal sounds good to me, I'm going to buy it, regardless of brand.
5:44 Sure it's not the same as the other one, but it doesn't sound that bad. I actually like it more.
most of sabians bells are raw bells..thats why their not lathed..it gives them a different sound.
I want more than the 12 i have already
@grrrwaffles me!!!!!
Alright, really sorry about your mom, didn't mean to touch that nerve :(. RIP.
You just started out so violent, and for your information, I don't like fighting on stupid issues. I actually loved what he said and you misunderstood me.
And what exactly do you mean by "Your tough" O_o
On another topic. You play Sabian? :D
@IronFabianSteel He did says craft. It takes years to master cymbal crafting
if there was a third part to this, my cymbals would be twice as expensive :/
This guy's been lathing for 20 years. He must be exciting at a cocktail party.
what do you do? Chartered accountancy?
I wanna see how K Zildjian Hybrids are made
3:21 truth at its finest.
Czechoslovakia? It doesn't exist since 1994. They are two Czech and Slovakia now
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷✌👍👌
@sxedrummer320 I probably would too, but I bet they get pretty good discounts lol
Dear Sabian, if you ever create a cymbal that you don't like or it is defective, please give it to me. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Joe
@WiLLPS31 man, if you have the money sor a zidjian k set, then I recommend you to buy sabian hhx´s
6:45 THE REV!
Sabian's are basically Zildjian's with personality. Ziljdian started it, but Sabian is actually still doing it. I own 2 HHX crashes and It was cool to see the Hand Hammering in part one.
He's talking about export to Czechoslovakia. This country hasn't been existing for more than 17 years!
Totally. HHX>K, but the price is the same.
@grrrwaffles or the warehouse.
@grrrwaffles i'm in!
if i lathed cymbals, i'd make a custom cymbal with a raw bell and raw rings around it.
5:15 ; And if they don't like the one that I don't like well, that's how the B8 are made.
I want a drumkit consisting only of Area 51 cymbals :)
no wonder why it takes 4-6 weeks on replacements!!
I want the lave guy to make my cymbal!
i guess all of the shavings from the lathing process are all recycled ??
wow doing that for 20 years gets really repetitive, how does he do it?!
can u make me a 21" and 22" evo ride?? PLEASE!!!! XD
sweeet!!!! MB20!!! Those sons of a b**** have some killer crashes and hi hats! the byzance isn't bad either, specially the brilliant ones. I'm not in for the jazz or the extra dry ones though ^__^
I'll take a raw one please.
WHY DON'T YOU MAKE AAX 22" STUDIO AND XPLOSION RAW BELL (NOT DRY) RIDES AND 19-20" XPLOSION CHINAS!!!!???
i would love to stay inside area 51 and i'd tottally party with that dude who works in the vault
6:40 JIMMY SULLIVAN!!!!!! RIP
Czechoslovakia?!?! It´s not for 20 years!
uhhhh...sure? haha im not sure what they look like but i'll agree with you
i would so do that but i bet you that the place is guarded super tite
Dear Sabian. There is no Czechoslovakia anymore since fall of ZSRR :D There are Czech Republic and Slovakia, two different countries.
Chechia apparently these days.
1:39 "after might look easy to do, it takes years to master this... ...crap." haha
Hello ... I'm Venezuelan and I go to jail to manufactured Sabian cymbals, but do not give me food, I just want all different types of cymbals ... Laughs!
this job would be epic to have altho i prefer zildjian cymbals
If the tester guy doesnt like the cymbals, dont melt them, just give them to me! im not picky :)
that sound-testing dude must be half deaf by now.
first comment, great vid. go sabian
Alec is a automated freak!
In every one of these videos they say "this might look easy".... seriously? Not to me!
One slip and you've gouged the cymbal, take off too much and it's scrap.
It has to end up at a certain weight, thinner at the edge and bell than the middle, all without being able to measure it.
give me one of those dark aax chinas~! haha
"As it might look easy to do, it takes years to master this....Crap."
LAUGH MY ASS OFF!!
Uuuh, "craft" dude.
