To the naysayers, judging from the company, I have no doubt that this pedal is great at what it does. I think the promotional videos have focused much more on the "drive" aspect and made this seem like a bass distortion pedal rather than an emulation of an SVT amp. Having owned, recorded, and played hundreds of shows with numerous 70s SVTs, they are clear, loud, punchy, with lots of growl - but at the point that they have that much drive, then something would be broken with the amp. If this pedal can replicate the depth, power, and tone of an SVT, then it will be amazing. If it is focused on over-emphasizing the tube grind of an SVT, then it's probably just a SVT-EQed bass distortion pedal - which I have no doubt it will be one of the best, but not a replacement for those who are looking to avoid carrying around 30 kg of amp and replacing 14 tubes every couple of years.
So good. BUT -- please please release a version that's switchable between two channels, so that I can go from a clean to a dirty setting quickly! I love the distortion and I wish it was quickly accessible
I'm not hearing a single tone that is relevant to me in this video, or in the 64' Black Panel version. Disappointing, but it's really a matter of the choice of instrument, technique, and music.
Ian Martin Allison - the GOAT!
We couldn't have asked for a better man to demo these. He knocked it out the park!
Geddy Lee ... thats a GOAT

I have flipped back and forth watching the both BassRig vids and I can't decide. Though I do love that 8x10 cab sim... Damnnnnnnnn
OMG!!! The tone on that second bass you feature was amazing! Great note articulation! Much respect all the way from San Diego California!
Fantastic demo and settings.
@origineffects we want a B15.
The Punchline from JHS might just be the thing for you. To my ears, the amp sim section sounds a lot like the old B15s.
Sushi box Slampegg
Love the neo soulful tone
This is epic! I could play with that "Stadium Stack" tone all . . . day . . . long.
Amazing tone❤️
OK, You got me at Stadium Stack! Super Vintage it is.
Dude you just melted my face off
OMG that much tone versatility is just awesome !!
For a brief moment I truly believed I could sound like Ian Allison if I bought this pedal. Then I remembered 😂
I had that moment when editing the video too...
DANG! That this sounds awesome! And Ian is a monster! If he's running one up the flagpole, I'm interested!

Already got the compact bass! This is next!!
Ian Allison FTW!
The minute they add the ability to choose between the cab sim on or off with the preamp still available, Im totally in!
You can do that by using the AMP OUT
@@OriginEffectsUKbut then I need to buy another DI?
@@YukonDan Depending on where you're trying to send it maybe. Though live many stages will have them kicking around and most would be fine.
Sounds great! Ian is an awesome player!- Brent
He really is. He nailed these lines
I would like to see a match up with the tech 21 VT bass DI ( which I own )before I would chase my tail and throw down some big money on this pedal
done with a Cali Comp?
ok.. well that certainly changes the sound and dynamic of the SVT pedal.. hmnnn
The only sound with the Cali76 is indicated as such. All other sounds are purely the pedal.
Tim Commerford tone
