I like looking for an enemy (like a starving bandit) with crippled leg and stealing their pants over and over again when they are "playing dead" But after watching this video I combined this technique with my method for some ultra gains and now I have 10 people squad of lvl90 thieves, thank you for the tip!
Nice work! LOL I never actually thought of just using an npc playing dead WITH my stack trick. It's so obvious I am kicking myself for not realizing I could just use it as well. Well done!
@@FrankieWuzHere it is slightly harder than that. In the past it worked with any "playing dead" NPC, but now the NPC should also be crippled, because when you fail to steal something from an NPC it usually wakes up or immediately become "unconscious" for 3 seconds and it is impossible to steal from both awake and unconscious characters :) But for some reason when NPC is both crippled AND playing dead and you fail to steal from it, it doesn't wake up or fall unconscious. Love this, I tried it with a hungry bandit that was playing dead instead of running to cannibals for the chest and it worked I got to 89 thievery. Thank you for this Vid!
Absolutely fantastic video Frankie. I'd figured out repeated looting could be used for grinding thievery for myself but it was a mess of aligning UI windows to throw an item back and forth and finding the right sort of freshly-beaten-in-a-fight-and-playing-dead enemy and couldn't be autoclicked. Getting to ~45 or 50 was possible but an exercise in frustration; so it was a "worth doing but I hate doing it" deal. Delighted to learn from you how to do it with finesse. Cheers!
Hey, lovely thievery training and toughness trainings! Thanks a lot I don't know if you are aware of the stealth and assasination trainings. Basicaly for stealth you wanna come to deadcat. There is a drill on a cliff, if you sneak next to it, you can get level 75-80 in a single game day and it is completely safe. As for assassination, turns out you can actually spam click and your character will have multiple atempts. It doesn't work on most npcs as they instantly agro, but that doesn't apply to catlon, who will simply start his speech or ignore you all together. Spam clicking him to assassinate can get you to lvl85-90 in about a minute and a half You can test those two out and share)
Heyo! Thanks for the tips! Just so you know if you go to the Toughness training area (42 starving bandits) you can get stealth 1 to 80ish in around 4 in game hours. And yep! I know of the Catlon one :) If you do it at 1x speed you can go even faster. Around 17 "Attempts" per animation. If you do it at 1x speed you can assassinate him before he even finishes talking.
@@FrankieWuzHere yep I am aware of the cat-lon speech being slower than you assassinate him. Also you can get behind gis throne quick save and load and just train infinitely (with only one hand you can get assassination 100). I'd love to see your scout training, cause I don't know how to pull that off. Also I've recently discovered that you can use white gorillo in mourn for martial art and melee training as its regeneration is actually faster than your damage dealt.
Have been watching few of your videos and as player who plays Kenshi for approximately 300hr I would say it give me something to learn, not only you explain the methods to do it but also you explain the game mechanics that goes behind it. It is interesting. Really like this kind of content. A suggestion though, I would love to see some of "your" ways to train character stat without cheating/exploit, like a legit way to train it but less of a hassle from the player. Anyway, this videos really helpful and fun to watch, good job!
If I recall I was on stream one day and I went to take a Skeleton repair kit form a container in Iron HQ. I noticed I got XP as I kept getting caught. I then did more testing off stream only to find that "stolen" items will not stack with the unstolen ones but still give XP. That's basically it :)
FYI it doesn't have to be Cannibal Plains, it just has to be a cannibal cheif's hut. There's one in the south of Darkfinger on a peak that works that's much closer for desert starts. Also it seems like the steal % drops the closer they get to the door/wall, but skyrockets once they get past and have line of sight.
Thank you for the video! I used this method and got my thievery to level 100 and I saw the xp bar progressing even after hitting 100. I decided to turn on my auto clicker and leave it overnight while i slept, it seems like there is a cap around 87% into level 100. My stealing chance is 89% at this point. 80% xp to 81% xp was roughly around 3 minutes and 81% to 82% was 3 minutes plus like 15 seconds. But once it hit 86% it took hours to get to 87%. So lesson learned, dont get to lvl 101.
Thanks for the info that's actually extremely useful. Means if I go to test the max thievery level I can start close to that value! May I ask what race you were playing?
Working on them, along with dex, weapon skills, stealth, str, making tons of cats, losing limbs solo (Safely) and killing all 3 major faction leaders as well as defeating bugmaster. Aka making a "Master" guide.
daaaaamn, thanks for the exploit man i always have trouble getting someone to play dead for me, ever time i start a new game i power level my characters so much that they kill almost anything in one strike
Good to know! Black Dragon Ninjas however have Mounted Crossbows and Dust Bandits as well (At their base) so I like to avoid those at all costs if I don't have Toughness yet.
I just do the grab and drop method at a bar upstairs where there isn't anyone, it's a bit bothersome but I can get to 60 thievery in about a few minutes of picking up a cup
nice, and what about strength? my method is, you need at least 3 char (i think), choose 2 that you will training and put the hell of weight in then, and the another one with alot of food, order they follow one next one, like 1 > 2 > 3 > 1 it cant became a loop, everytime one will be let off, the game will delet de fixed order, and they will start walking in circles glitched, only the 2 with the orders on will lvl up str and the one with no order ,even if its moving will not gain xp, then make they do this in a safe place, with guards etc, and let roll, increace the auto save gap and give a look if you can to see, some times the glitch dies and they stop, then you have to order one by one to follow the next until only the one that will carry food will be let without order, i reach str 45~50(variation because of race Xp) in about 1h or less i think, but can be get more but the food have run out and the 6 guys are dying by hungry XD
for some reason, i keep capping around 60 as the chance to steal the build kit shoots up to 98%, no matter how many times i keep reloading it, its the same result with the stackable pack, no room to steal it, and the cannibals in the room with me. I use to be able to do it before but now its not working.
Well for sneak just go to Skinners Roam like in my Toughness guide but instead of getting beaten up just run away then sneak behind them. Easy 1 to 82 in around 4 game hours (Scorchlander) maybe 4.5 for other non-stealth bonus races. Working on a "Master" guide atm for a ton of stuff that'll be around an hour long of nearly non-stop info :)
Thanks for the info, my only concern is that I'm allied with them (always gave them lots of cats) so I dont know if I'll get that much xp since I've heard that you get less by sneaking around neutral/friendly npcs
Can this only be done in cannibal villages or can it be done elsewhere on the map closer to the traditional starting area (The Hub)? Thanks for the guide!
Not too sure... I know Fort Simion (Barracks), Crab town and Iron HQ work for this as well... However if any are in the building the chance to steal is higher again for some weird reason so it won't work for too long.
You have to take down the hive king (next to ashland), bring him to your base and put him in a skeleton repair bed. Attack, weapon skills, martial art and dexterity to a lvl 80 in 5 minutes per skill Total to have all combat skills, half an hour per character, but if you ignore training up every single weapon skill just five minutes You can easily take the king down with level two walls, just kite him on a wall via ramp, dismantle ramp, use crossbows or harpoons to take the guy down
No, that is sort of a glitch in a game that he is just stuck. He looks like a huge metal monkey (wiki him) and his stats are in 300s if I remember correctly. Make sure however to use someone to pick him up before reload, because upon reload he will get out of bed
