  • In this second video about Unst, Britain's most northerly inhabited island, we hear about the importance of the sea to the islanders, from the Vikings to the herring boom of the 19th and early 20th centuries. We visit Haroldswick, Luna Wick, Muness Castle, Unst Boat Haven and Baltasound.
Music from the CD 'The Authentic Sound of Shetland'.

Totally agree on narration and footage - beautifully put together.
Had hoped that the musicians involved with the background music might have been credited.

Can you examine the diaspora community in N shields ?
Still a community of shetlanders who followed the herring down the East coast and settled there ?
