I'm a avid watcher of your videos too. I fish the upper end of Douglas Lake (from Walters Bridge/Boat Ramp to Rankin Bridge/Boat Ramp). This location is the headwaters and contributory's for Douglas Lake. Catching catfish (specially large ones like you catch) has become almost impossible. Well, at less for me it has. If possible for you, could you try this location sometime and hopefully that it would turn out to be worth your effort to make a video. Your videos have been very educational and I do appreciate watching them. As experience and knowledge as you are with catching catfish on other lakes and their contributory's you may just show me how to catch them on my home lake and section here on Douglas Lake. Catch a big one for me. Thank You.
Have you ever tried an Eagle Claw 8/0 Octopus Circle Hook? Where I fish in SE Virginia (not on the James) I don't expect to catch anything over 50 lbs, but the fishing is good. The Eagle Claw hook has more distance between the point and the shank than other hooks I've tried. The points stay ultra-sharp (forever) and they don't rust. I'm fishing in brackish water and they absolutely don't corrode. I like the looks of the triple threat hooks but the distance between the point and the shank on their 8/0 hook was less than the Eagle Claw. The wire diameter in the Triple Threat hook is massive, but I won't be hooking any nuclear submarines even though they are close by. The Eagle Claw hook has never had a strength issue and I have tested them far beyond the strength of my gear on stumps and crab pots. The Owners and Gamakatsus Hooks work fine, but I have found them hard to find in all but 2 stores locally. The Eagle Claws are everywhere and very affordable. I'm happy to see your area made it through the storm okay. The folks that live in the mountains took a beating and it will be a long time, if ever, for things to get back to normal. Keep these great videos coming. You may need to replace the DGI. Between mic issues and the pixelation, the quality isn't up to the earlier videos. That said, you're content makes up for the shortfalls of the equipment.
Always great to watch one of your videos. I think they make the hooks to rust so if you break a line off in a fishes mouth. You can get hooks that won't rust but from what I've heard you can't use them in certain places.
Do you run the Warcraft channel BOklahoma? Dave, you have to watch his Warcraft fishing videos!! If it's not you it's Uncanny!! Channel name is BOklahoma ❤❤
The good thing is that the dock workers union struck a temp deal. Hopefully, they got everything they asked for. More American workers need to organize and negotiate for their own future. Workers are the most valuable asset in the US. Good to see these unions standing up to the wealthy corporations. Now we just need to get people to understand that there wealthy and corporations are against unions for a reason. And that reason isn't for your benefit.
Perhaps an honest review of that camera. I like their drones but it seems people have problems with their cameras. What you don't like about it other than the dang thing doesn't like to work. Seeing what you go through I can't say I'd be in the market for one at the moment.
How come your not dragging out the back? Now that sounds stupid, back center. I promise I’m not drinking any alcohol. Being married for 42 years does something to your brain!
Dave your videos are getting to long. You are beginning to be like that kayak guy. Talking but not saying anything. I learned so much from you with shorter videos. Goodnight
Thanks for the video catfish Dave 👍🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Dave, It's good to know that you're not worried about the toilet ppaper shortage.
That was one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time.
Avid watcher, and thanks your videos has helped me catch my first blue catfish, caught two respectable blues on cherokee 10-9-24
Good times, Catfish Dave, Good times! Keep on fish'in. And I'll keep watch'in! 🎣👍
That was the notorious pirate Finn...ole one eye! Lol thanks for taking us along!
I like using the whiskey seeker hooks and floats
Gosh, I miss fishing!!!
I was like number 600. Thanks for posting.
You get to fish out my back door more than I do! Love your trips! Keep up the amazing adventures.
Get off the couch 😅
@@IEchuckie lol, I want to, just got back surgery, I’m out for a while. So I watch the greats catch my dreams and take notes for when it’s my turn.

I have to commend you for your wardrobe choice. It looks like a Huk shirt bought at Buc-era.
If you think hooks rust up your way. you should live in Sunny, windy Florida, Always good to see you and your boat Dave,
He did live in fla I believe
Great video Dave
Dave it's that time for trophy catfish like to see you below the Chattanooga on Tennessee river and hiawsse river for big cats
The number's was on :) You have that way of finding them :) WTG
I come from Alabama with a Catfish on my knee.

Always hit like, and then watch the video. That's what I do, with a Catfish Dave video.
I bet the DJI camera folks would really enjoy this video.

The drag of the mono balances with the braid because braid floats 😉
Catfish Dave, you need to check out Trokar hooks!
Those Owner SSW hooks are a bit pricey….but quality ain’t cheap…I use them in the Pacific Ocean for Chinook Salmon and RockCod….theyve never failed..
Great time !
THANKS!
I hate the DJI mike!! I love the DJI camera!!
I haven't seen you catch any of those dadgum fish with the stripes lately

Boy. Dave. Your. Getting. It. Wet. Today.
Dave spray or mist your hooks with w-d-40 and they will never rust ! buddy old fishing tip
How do like those DJI cameras? 🤣🤣
I thought his mic blew of his shirt into water when it made that buzzing sound
Maybe that’s why they call it that to spook the catfish away
Turn around, son! 27:20
Maybe they don't like the spook swimming backwards.
Catfish Dave 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
A good way to waste 50 minutes you can never get back.
I still get a kick from watching one guy using 4 lines to fish.
Why? It’s not uncommon most cat fisherman do
@michaelglenn8598 where I live it's only 1 line. In the winter it's 2 lines.
"If I woulda been thinking properly ." Catfish Dave being political correctly speaking.
So , yer sayin yer fulla 💩 ? 😂😂
