Hey Dave, thanks for the videos, nothing to do after natural disaster here in Iowa where I live. Power knocked out for a week or so. Had a storm pass through that produced 80 to 100 mph winds. Never seen anything like it. Been chaos around here, gasoline shortages, generators no where to be found, I live rural with sump pump. Lucky the Coralville reservoir is behind my house. May the fishing commense.
Summer fishing is hard because fish live in schools, and they are on their summer vacation. Things will be better when school starts again. Keep the faith Dave.
I have been using cut channel cat, since you put it on a fishing video. It's the only bait I have been able to get,I got a 25 or 30 on it last week from the bank of the Ohio in Louisville, KY,thanks Dave

That their pole holder holding that rood up close to the driver seat would hold a good size patio umbrella for those days you are away from home and need to make a day of it. Easy enough to throw a break down one in one of your storage or rood storages. Just a friendly suggestion . thx for making another honest mans video.

Well anyway I watched this video he did I THINK his name is Dieter Melhorn 😂 Said fish AROUND boat ramps well I did what Mr.Melhorn said fished around a boat ramp. Late night last week AND he was RIGHT boat ramps are purdy good spots for catchin BIG 🐟🎣CATFISH. So maybe anchor your boat close to a boat ramp. Shoot I was fishin from the bank and got a 50lb + last week at night that Dieter Melhorn he's Sharp feller. ALL seriousness Dave that was a bucket list catfish for me I've got pressing health issues up coming surgeries I don't have a boat. So your bank fishing videos were a great help in educating me in bait, bait placement times too fish WITHOUT YOUR videos I WOULD NOT HAVE THAT particular location. So if you see Dieter Melhorn thank him for me. And if MAYBE just maybe you can get that other guy to do JUST ONE MORE bank video before he falls out of that dangblasted boat!!!! I have no complaints about any of the rods in my boat. They are all a bit different in action but all serve the purpose. I had 3 different brands of rods in this video
CFD y'all gonna have to get one of them there high dollar autopilot/spotlock trollin motors so you don't have to splash that big anchor and scare the fish....Justin got one give to him...haha had to throw that in there.
You can tie a small treble hook onto your weight with a short leader of light line. Treble will snag holding the rig in place and will break off easily when a fish takes. I know of folks who fish in tail water who do this with good results.

I don't do much catfishing so I don't know. But if they have feeding patterns anything like a deer, mid day has always been better for me around the full moon.

How do you keep your weight from moving with current during high flow when fishing off bank?
There's not much you can do about it. Add more weight. Downsize bait to reduce drag.

If it isn't to windy a Thermacell will keep the majority of the dang mosquitoes away. Use it a lot on my boat and it keeps the white flies away also
