Maybe the sweetest part of this sketch was at around 1:15, because Bill said in a 92Y panel with John Mulaney that when he’d do Carville, and he’d start dealing cards, it was solely to make John laugh. “It’s the most personal thing between two friends, that’s being broadcasted to the nation.”
I caught that too. This did not start in 2015 with trump, we have been going down this avenue since the 80s, it simply took a demagogue to push republicans into fascism.
This would be funny except for the fact that in 2020 it turned out to be true and the net result is an idiot in the Whitehouse and his crack addict son handling all our foreign affairs!

Wish I could find the one from Thursday September 17, 2009. It was called "Saturday Night Live: SNL Weekend Update Thursday" bac then. Now I guess they renamed this to "Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Summer Edition" Regardless of its name the one from Sept 17, 09 was great. I'd love to find this but it seems like its no where to be found.
I've arrived at this video by accident, because TH-cam seems to automatically go from one to another unless I stop it. Boy, American humour is very different to British, I literally have no clue what is going on here. So all I really have to say about it is Bill Hader still looks alright bald lol.
Some of Bill's best work seems to be these political figures. It would've been better if one knew these politicians being impersonated, sadly not the case for non Americans like me :(
He's on Documentary Now. It's a hilarious mockumentary series. Fred Armisen is in it too, and Seth Meyers has written many episodes. It's amazing! They're filming season 3 now.
Update: Bill Hader has won an Emmy for his role in Barry! It was also renewed for a third season, and he’s playing Richie in the upcoming movie It: Chapter 2. I’m so happy for him!!!
i take great joy in the fact that seth smiles a little bigger during these skits when it's with bill and leans in excitedly to bill when he talks
Wholsome
Bill and Seth have really good chemistry, you can tell they’re friends even when they’re acting
What would really be epic is if they invited James Carville on the show and have a skit with Hader as Carville arguing with each other😂😂😂

Came here for this!!
is there a link somewhere?
Thank you for pointing this out, I'm assuming its a similar story to when he DJ scratches a record at 2:40 amazing
"I guess guns DO kill people!"
Did not see that coming XD
bill is a genius
“After the last election, the republicans had a meeting. They said ‘why don’t we just pretend we won’”
I caught that too. This did not start in 2015 with trump, we have been going down this avenue since the 80s, it simply took a demagogue to push republicans into fascism.

Bill is the perfect actor
“Because he’s an alligator” I died 😂
Cuz he an ALLIGATOR, Seth!
0:49 I'm not just sayin that 'cause I look like a BULLET 😂 😂 💀
"I'm very hard... uh... sorry to hear your grandma passed" I really want to know if that was intentional lol
My guy flirts with Seth and John at the same time. What a legend
they make me answer five questions at the DELI
If you're just a normal person, this is an old impression that doesn't make a lot of sense anymore.
If you're a Bill Hader fan, this is 24K gold.
1:17 'YATZY ' 😂
This character is sooo underrated 😂
hes a real person
He does a better James Carville than James Carville does! I should know, because I'm from Lake Charles, LA.
Carville does a pretty good job playing Gollum too…
Geaux Tigers. Who Dat
bill: oh, its simple, id dress up as a rifle
seth: 0.O
Bill Hader was just born to make people laugh 😂😂😂😂. He is a pure joy to watch.
They made me answers 5 questions at the deli😂😂😂😂
If SNL could get people even in the same universe as Bill Hader to play Hannity and Tucker Carlson we could all die happy
Bill Hader is SO talented.
OmG Bill Hader is so funny!
‘‘We lost, what are we gonna do - why don‘t we just pretend we won?“. That aged well.
I love James Carville so much.
He called Republicans in 2020
If we lose let's pretend we won
“i guess guns _do_ kill people!” that should’ve gotten a standing ovation
Bill Hader in this clip looks like the archrival to the Coneheads: The Domeheads
Oh how RELEVANT this is in 2022!!
Yup, still in 2023. It’ll only end when trump kicks the bucket… ugh!
this is my favorite one of hader doing carville
Absolutely BRILLIANT still
All Hail the King of the Snakes
2:45 doing your own background check makes about as much sense as letting the Supreme Court set and enforce its own ethics code. Oh wait...
Ooh grandma liked that one 😂
Hader is fucking great
Hader!
Well, damn.
and i'm not saying just because i look like BULLET!!!! :D
Dude I'm dead I'm from Louisiana and I swear he is dead on
"At the deli..." ☠😪... am I petty today?
Bill Hader was great.
The other side!!! HAHAHAHAH!
One of Headers best
Brilliant
Spot on!
Me too
Carville is a treasure in crazy 😜
#BillHader stressing over flubbing a line - yet he can do Carville's voice and mimic his actions, all while adroitly dealing cards.
A _well regulated_ militia. Reg-u-lated.
This nigga bill😂😂

As an American, I can assure you this is fucking hilarious
it’s not really supposed to make sense lol
if you know who the guy is supposed to be its really funny. just look up one interview with james carville and this becomes 100 times funnier
@LORNE: BRING BACK BILL HADER FFS NO MATTER WHAT THX
Did he call him Dave (1:14) ?
no
I think
he said james
I can smell the Soco 100.
BILL HADER IS CRAZY AF!

Does anybody know what Bill Hader is up to now?

he's also doing a show on HBO called Barry. I think it will air in 2018 and, if I'm not mistaken, he wrote it

He’s doing a show called Barry, and is in IT2
Cajun style
This aged well. 😅
Hilarious
What is she? 3:31
This is hilarious. Side note, Seth (and a lot of other telling heads) overestimates public support for universal background checks.
Do tell ...
This was a dated reference 10 years ago lol
is it really that easy to get guns in america ?
Depends on the part of town and how much meth you have to trade.
Yes
No it's really not. Doesnt mean further checks and balances couldn't be helpful but it is in no way as easy as people imply
In certain states yes. I can go to a gun show and buy anything once i have the money
@@trackman411 Nope
Was Hader pretending to be street gambling?
Pretending to be dealing cards apparently
When SNL used to make an effort.
Genius. And such a lack of views. Disappointing as shit(((
I giess tey doo
SNl is funny if you laugh at anything.
I want a shout-out
SNL has been socialist for twenty years..
We don’t need gun control. Guns don’t kill people but SNL’s Baldwin does.
Bully for you.
Idiots like you are worse than useless. You actively prevent anything useful being done.
