Taran was and will remain one of the great cast members of SNL. He had “it.” And could morph into every character tossed at him. Shame he’s still not in the show.

I’m so grateful to have helped film one of these segments with Taran a few years ago! Can’t tell you just how hilarious and professional he was on set. His humor is infectious and had the whole crew laughing! I have to say, he’s got some great aim with those cards btw😂 One of my favorite memories in the film industry hands down!

I think I hear what you're hearing, but I'm not sure that's Seth? Go to about 4:17 and you can hear it again while Seth is talking. That same kinda high-pitched giggle is there in both the first and second segment, and for the life of me I can't figure out where it's coming from. Might be a random audience member.

And most of these Jebediah clips are the dress rehearsal versions, which are often far funnier than the live broadcast versions, so they air these in reruns. That's why they're so giggly in these clips, because they're reading a lot of these jokes for the very first time, and they're more laid back in dress rehearsal.

Same! The couple of times I've seen Seth laugh *really* hard have been when a joke goes out and the audience gives NO reaction. I can't remember it exactly, but there was one other one - maybe on his own show - that was similar. I guess comedy is about surprise and subverting expectations of a setup, and to him it must be hilarious when you expect a laugh and you get absolute *silence* from the audience...

Taran was such an underrated cast member. Unfortunately he was there at the same time as Jason Sudekis. He could have played many of those roles as well.

The facial expressians and timing are even better than the jokes. This all started when some newspaper that printed a review of the Gettysburg address, calling the Presidents remarks "silly" decided to print an apology 150 years latter. Like that was really bothering people. They dug up Jebidiah (the original critic) who apologizes for nothing and expands his critical reviews to everything. Brilliant!

Also i haven't noticed that these videos are regularly dress rehearsals, they seem identical to me as the individually uploaded sketches in general. I mean those ones could be dress rehearsal sketches but normally they mention it.
The whole joke is that the movies and speeches were actually good, and that he is just a resentful critic. If he reviews speeches that are obviously bad, I think the joke will be lost lost.
