  • This episode of New Jersey Living is being taped in North Bergen, New Jersey, so we are in Braddock County Park directly behind me, where Lake Woodcliff is a large body of water. The lake area is 16 acres, making it a relatively large lake given the location we're in. The park itself is 167 acres. 79th Street will be our first property location for the day. As evidenced by the footage on Weehawken.com North Bergen is a predominantly residential and suburban township. The school's rating is a C; proximity to New York Metropolis is indicated by the presence of a train, light rail, and buses, making it quite easy to reach the city. I wanted to cross over to this side to provide a brief description of the terrain in North Bergen and Hudson County in general.
    We're raised by at least 50 to 70 feet, if not more. When we reach the waterfront area, we will be positioned in its vicinity. This property's lower level rental is a three-bedroom, one-bathroom unit that rents for just under $2,400 and spends just under 50 days on the market. I have a two-car garage in New Jersey. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate one or not, but there are many investment property opportunities in New Jersey. This property's location is great for those who need to be close to public transportation, and it also offers the chance to purchase a single-family home in North Bergen, New Jersey.
    Approximately 10 to 15 minutes would be required to walk from this position to the nearest light rail station. There is a slight dip in the road, but nothing severe, and there are four new multifamily units under construction across the street. The final destination on our North Bergen trip is just off River Road, along the waterfront. Three units at The Watermark have been sold during the past 30 days, and all of them contain a variety of utilities and amenities typical of this sort of residence. The first unit is unit 908, and its actual size is 908 square feet. Nonetheless, it will be indicative of the homes you will discover up and down River Road.
    The first two apartments in the North Bergen building were a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with over 1,500 square feet. The third property was a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom unit that was over 1800 square feet and was valued at $7.79 million. All units include water, gas, and hot water, so the only utility you pay for in this particular building is electricity.
