The reason why the greatest number of tech house songs, as shown on Beatport, use Am is because most tech house is in a minor key and Am the easiest minor on the keyboard. Am is all the white keys, and it's the first minor key that the vast majority of people learn. The fact that it's at the top of the list does not at all mean that it's particularly better than other minor keys for this genre, where musicality is concerned.

Please Stand By you need a „MIDI Track“ and than I insert a midi clip. You can add a new MIDI Track by CMD+Shift + T and insert a new MIDI Clip by CMD+Shift + M. If you have that Clip you just need to double click on that clip. Tell me if it works on your daw - otherwise I will help you
