Just started my own playthrough of this. I can't believe I didn't even know this game existed until the past couple of weeks, but good to see I'm not the only one who is late to the party! Looking forward to following on with this series
@@Deejvival Haha! No kidding. I wanted to a few years ago when i first got it, but i ended up not playing it much for some reason, yet here we are. Its super fun! ^_^ Good Luck man!
I have been looking for someone to start this new. All the other TH-camrs play as if the viewers already know everything about the game. So thank you. I'd like to request that you turn the in-game music down a bit, though. I like hearing all the game sounds, but I have trouble hearing you speak when the music starts.
@@NiteHunter13T Oh man! Im sorry, i didnt know it was too loud! Ill keep that in mind from now on. Unfortunately itll be after episode 8 that i can turn it down, since up to 8 are already dont... 😅
Oh nice! How deep underneath? Theres other ruins ive found that ill need to go take a look at as well. Thanks! I might have just left it there without looking underneath. XD
@@VarusDraske not too deep, just stick with showel around those bricks but remember it still can be only few bricks on surface, this structures are pretty random
Hold up, isn't that a flower? If so, do other flowers have uses as well? I've been walking past so many flowers and I think some horsetail is near my cave home. I just got the game a week ago!
@@AbeTweakin it's a green plant that grows mainly in forests. It looks like a bunch of green stems standing straight up with little buds coming off the sides. I'm not sure what other plants and flowers are useable in that way, I'm still fairly new to the game
So when you were chopping down that tree I did see that some of the blocks broke off but were stuck at the top of the tree. Those oak trees sometimes take at least 2 axes to take down if you're using flint axes. I normally don't go for big trees unless I have a bunch of inventory spots open because they can give you 3 or more stacks of logs then also sticks and samplings:-)
@@IyseHexxo-br8uo Yeah, some of those oak trees get really really big... XD Taking backup tools for what you are harvesting is a must from what ive learned.
@@VarusDraske Yes I always find myself adjusting the inventory based on what my goals are. For example, if I am hunting I carry a few extra spears but no dirt or anything else not hunting related. When I am exploring a few less spears but more opened spots for things I find. If I am going far away from the house I make sure to have a full meal first and then carry one extra meal in my pack :)
You may want to get the CarryOn mod so you can put a basket on your back, it’s going to be a while before you get leather backpacks. Looking forward to your videos!
@@newkkl I might do a modded playthrough at some point once i get to a decent stopping point in this series, but i want to try to leave everything as un-gamechanging as i can while i learn and try to "beat" the game for the first time. But i will definitely look into it later! Thanks!
hoe the ground before harvesting the wild crops, they will give you alot more results. Also the reddish mushrooms you ran by are good I think. The guide will tell you

You probably figured it out but - Holding something in offhand while active uses food 20% faster. good video 👍
@@wobblyboost Oh, ok, so its 20%, gotcha. Thats still quite a bit. Thanks for letting me know!

This was just the relaxing gameplay I needed today!
Im glad! It was a lot of fun to make! ^_^
get tthe peat for the clay products and cooking. It will finish the pottery off quicker than wood.
I have got some peat, but ive also been using charcoal, which appears to be grinding a few gears for some others watching. XD
46:26 you can try dig underneath there is possible basement with claypot or just some fossils

Collect some horsetail plants and use them with cattails to make poultices so you can heal injuries
@@Infantry492 Yeah... Ive been meaning to do that... I get so distracted though. XD

@VarusDraske whoa I'll have to give that a shot. Thanks! And thanks to you too @Infantry492 I am gonna find that horsetail.

Oh! Ill have to try that! Does it essentially turn them into farmed crops rather than wild?
@@VarusDraske I think it does add the effect of being farmed crops.
Great game, good luck!
Wow, this modpack looks amazing!
@@nanya6148 This is actually a seperate game! Its called Vintage Story! I believe its based off of TerraFirmaCraft? Which is a mod.
Was that sarcasm? Or are you actually that dumb and think its a mod of minecraft?
Or are you talking about mods he used in vintage story?
Not a modpack.
you can check in guide re the type of mushroom. You defnitely want to grab them if good.
Yeah, i didnt realize until a little later that i could have been eating them all along.
