I have so much respect for Grant. I hate that he left good good, but at the same time he wants to make completely different content so he absolutely should've. I will miss him with some of the guys but im so glad to still have him making amazing content. We love you Grant!!!
I feel like all of Good Good ( past and present) owe Garrett Clark a huge thank you. Garrett is one who had the platform and vision to start it all. He is the one responsible for them all having a career in golf. I'd like to think they all appreciate what he's done for them. Well done, GC.
Grant was my fav GG member and was gutted when he left but so glad both GG and grant are thriving! Would love to see him collab with GG again. Or make an appearance on GM golf 😉
Feel like it already happened, just waiting for video. They posted a photo together, plus Garrett was in Jupiter filming for a bit, which is where Grant lives. Video will come, for sure. I’d say in the next week or two.
Tbh I haven’t watched any video of grant since he left good good until this podcast. I just love watching good good, just a bunch of friends playing golf and having fun is what’s making me watch it.
Seeing bow busy Good Good is now, I totally understand his decision. Good Good is much more than just one week a month now. And hes so dedicated to his own channel, it just makes sense for him. And it's definitely worked out
It’s awesome seeing where the game of golf is going. Led by guys like Rick, grant, Bryan bros, it’s just an amazing thing to see. Thank you for all you guys do. GO ON THEN!!
Grant and even Rick, i think a lot of people would get a big help for either of you to document and show how you would practice to get better especially with you both enjoying the teaching aspect.
@@jeremyc9593 Yea I agree generally and it would be best to do match play. I just liked both of them so not all golf. Just would be fun to see them back at it. I wouldn't rule Garrett out though..
So I started golfing when I was 3 and I’m 37 now. I got to a +1 in my younger 20’s, didn’t play much for about 10 years, got back into golf in 2020 and now l’m a respectable 3-4 handicap. Last fall I stumbled into TH-cam golf when I was on paternity leave with my 1st child. The first videos I found were Grant and Garrett on GM golf. That led me to Good Good and then to you, Rick. I’m glad Grant has done well since leaving Good Good. What makes me happiest is that he’s maintained relationships with some of them, especially Garrett. I absolutely loved the videos those two did together. Keep up the great content both of you!
I missed the podcast over the last 2 weeks but I didn't realise how much I missed it until now. What a great guest to have in Grant on the 200th episode and I wish Grant all the success going forward. I look forward to the next conversation between him an Rick on perhaps Grant's channel where we can hear more from Grant. Love being a subscriber and thanks for the content.
I'm a high school golf coach near Turlock, CA. Would love to see a meet-up occur at Turlock CC with Grant. My players would love that chance to meet a great role model.
I'm also a high school golf coach but in Parrish FL. I second this idea. Grant should start a vs (High School Team) series. Kids at that age group would eat that content up!!
I like watching Grants videos, especially when he’s playing George and Wesley. The Bryan Brothers are definitely the most entertaining golfers on TH-cam. I’d like to see Rick do something with them.
Rick did a video with Wesley when he went to Florida. Rick tried to see how low he can go with Wesley playing everything from inside 130 yards. And George has been on the podcast before.
Rick i can't believe I am now hooked on THREE of your channels. I absolutely love how you and Guy do the podcast. And having some guests is amazing. Please DO try to enter a tourney also. You CAN DO IT!!!!
Great interview! Wonderful hearing everyone’s thoughts on where TH-cam golf is at the moment. Always enjoy watching RS and Grant’s content! Looking forward to this weeks upcoming content between you both. 😀
First of all I love the podcast so congrats Rick and Guy. Next I miss Grant on Good Good. I miss his Sunday matches with G. I do love his content still and happy to see him growing. Great episode 200 Rick
Grant succeeded on his own because he is a very personable character and plays brilliant golf. He plays wonderful golf courses and gets great guests on his videos. My favourite videos are those where he plays on his own just to watch his great golf and his joyful enthusiasm.
Ricks teeth are pretty good as well! lol... I think the reason Good Good fans were upset when Grant left is because we liked Grant so much in Good Good and he matched so well with Garrett a lot of people were really upset he left.
I listened to the podcast version this morning on my way to work. Now im home watching the youtube version! Never have i ever done that before! Haha i mustv really missed the podcast😂
Sometime i see Grants strengths as his calmness. But then sometimes i feel he doesn't fire him self up enough and doesn't push himself to the standard he's capable of.
congrats on the 200 rick and guy! Grant is such a good guy and im pleased its worked for him. Think of the views when he returns in a Grant vs Good Good video.....
I have been following the channel for a few years now and i must say its been good... Good old family friendly entertainment... Keep it up. The reason why people acted that way is because of what grant brought to the table, and obviously the disappointment was real. Its like hearing your favorite band is breaking up... it sucks, but Grant is a great guy and i love his content...
On the topic of "connecting to team Europe" - what a shame, I wished sooo much Europe would come together much closer, including Great Britain. I (as a German) was rooting so much for team Europe, I loved the colors, the European stars on the blue background. Europe is such a great accomplishment! It's the future. It’s definitely the moments that bring me back to golf day after day. Had an absolute horrible round today, but it was those couple of really good shots that make me think I can play this game well tomorrow. 😂
Good podcast again Rick. I think addressing Grant’s departure later in the podcast was the right thing to do. Grant is a great golfer and I was disappointed when he left Good Good. Watched a little of Grant and Good Good after their split and it just wasn’t the same. Only so much time in the day so said goodbye to both Grant and Good Good. Not all of us left angry. More like your favorite TV show changes a character and you feel it not as good so you stop watching and move on. Glad Grant doing well though.
I can't wait for the butthurt 14 year olds to flood the comments complaining about Grant/Micah and saying "bruh Garrett and GG gave them everything and they left, they've got no loyalty", because they have never heard of differing and changing aspirations, goals, life directions, and priorities. If you're an adult, then you'd be able to comprehend and understand their decision making to not want to revolve a large part of their time, energy, and ability to make content to a company/business/group if that isn't what they feel is right for their life. People move on from long term jobs that have been very good to them, people leave high-profile positions to create their own businesses. Athletes move on from long tenures with a team to another. And so a golf youtuber can move on from a group setting to making content on their own.
Fascinating. To be honest, i havent watched Grant in anything after the breakup until this podcast. He's a solid dude and i truly miss him on GG. I agree his skill level may have been a driving factor to be solo. Either way, glad things smoothed out.
Next time you're in Florida, you need to check out the redesigned Bobby Jones course in Sarasota. Set to open back up in November. Restored to it's original design and looking sweet. Can't wait to take some pelts and dart some greens.
I love my 1 and 2 irons. No stingers, just long clean irons. I'm not a great golfer, it's all just mental. If you see them as just another iron, you'll crush it.
Good Good like other big channels has come to the point where you get very passionate/fanatic fans, and those people have a real tough time with understanding that they are just watching these people and somehow think they have an opinion about who does what. Very common the more famous someone gets. I agree with you Jimda, now you can watch both channels and just enjoy life 😊
15:46 We oldies, who’s played with blades for the best part of our hobby journey have hard time switching over to more forgiving clubs cause the feel is so different. I have played cb-irons maybe 10/30 years, but the better part blades up till today. Having no offset and a thin clubhead both top-line and sole it is really hard to look either the thicker toplines and if the sole lurks off the back as in some really good irons, I’ve tried. That would be something to get used to, but the feel of a matchbox is not. Not at the moment at least.
Guys when you have guests and you ask them questions..let them answer. Be quiet and let Grant answer. I know it's a discussion but everytime Guy asked a question to Grant..Rick answers it and Guy adds to it. Wanna hear the guests opinions
I agree completely…. Also, Guy kept asking goofy scenario questions that only he really cared about! I don’t believe any viewers were really concerned what a 14 year old prospect should or would do for a career!
First of all Rick…..your ability to carry a podcast and conduct an interview is amazing. Not that you are not a great player of the game, because you certainly are, but your skills at interviewing interesting people is off the charts. As for Grant there a few few opinions I’d like to share. 1) Grant’s channel is among the best golf channels out there (along with yours, Good Good and Bob Does Sports). There are other great channels out there but these three channels are in a league of their own. What makes Grant’s channel so good is his charisma. Yes he is a good player with a gorgeous swing and he can really bomb the tee shots with awesome control. But it is his warmth, connection with his audience, humility and infectious smile that causes him to stand out. 2) I think I felt much of the frustration that other fans felt when Grant left GG. There was a lot of chemistry on that channel that we felt made the show. With him (and Micah to a lesser degree) leaving there was a disruption and no one knew how it would effect the channel. Obviously fans have nothing truly invested in the channels other than emotions but those emotions can be powerful and fans took it personally….it was as if there was a defection, a disloyalty or infidelity. We worried that GG might be damaged. Once time healed some of the wounds and we could see that GG would carry on just fine without him, we could all be friends again. It was almost like watching your best friends get a divorce and you struggling with where your loyalties should rest. I, for one, still watch every video on every one of these channels but it was a little harder to get excited about Grant’s channel (this is silly but I actually felt a little guilty supporting him at first). Anyway, all is good now and I’m delighted to see Grant and GG both excelling in their chosen fields. And for the record, Micah puts out some good content as well but his personality is a little more difficult to connect with…..it is the charisma thing (or lack thereof) I guess. Thanks for another terrific podcast. And for the Ryder’s Cup….GO USA (the underdog).
a few of the points they made around the Ryder cup and about entertainment v skill when it comes to content is kind of why liv is appealing in some respects.
yea there certainly is some middle ground in there, LIV was a polarizing reaction to the more formal tone golf has in general. Hopefully we get some more naturally entertaining high level golf events@@andrewbarker5312
I think the biggest thing with him leaving was everyone was still kinda getting over Micah leaving and no one expected Grant to leave so when it came out of nowhere it was a huge shock! I honestly thought it was a joke at first when I first saw it!
Speaking of best players not playing blades: Colin Morikawa is playing combo set with P7MCs. Which is a muscle back, which is so forgiving for what it is
Thanks Grant for sharing about your new irons. I'm 65 years old and just got fitted with some new JPX 923 hot metal irons and have been apprehensive about them because they "game improvement" irons. My ego was/is dealing with it. Still have about 3weeks until they arrive. Great show Rick.
You boys need to come to Wales and come and play some of our links courses. Royal Porth Cawl, Machynys, Aberdovey, Pennard. some amazing golf courses! would love to see you boys doing a tour of them.
On the subject of Ryder Cup. The massive difference between the two teams was Team Europe's camaraderie. I clearly stood out and got them over the line.
Seeing Grant wear "Grove XXIII" hat I can only smell some content coming from one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Florida - the Michael Jordan golf club. Can't wait!

Loved the cast. Wish Grant would have brought up Rick doing a collab with Grant and the Bryan Bros. Would be great.
Congratulations on 200
Seeing Grant wear "Grove XXIII" hat I can only smell some content coming from one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Florida - the Michael Jordan golf club. Can't wait!
Congrats on 200 guys, where's the Bob does sports content? Seen some there's looks fun.
Grant is such a cool guy 😎
Grants best ever content has to be the grant/micah/bryanbros/busterjack collabs. Would love to see them vs good good with rick and BDS commentating
I'm a older man, I fellow Grant and Micah more then Good Good now... Just more my style of Golf Videos, I'm sure there is a lot more guys like me.
Ron Chopper should be your next guest
He has great entertainment value, and is completely different to the Americans or English!
The best set of gnashers in all of golf
What a great podcast/video!
