    Nice job as always! Gotta love the "While we're here", those three little word's can turn a $20 dollar project into a 10k plus restoration lol.

    Glad you got it figured out. As always, great show! I didn't know this pad existed, so I'll definitely be getting this one. It looks SO much nicer than the stock ever did. I just rebuild my column but have not uploaded the video, so that's how I knew you'd have to pull the column. All the parts to rebuild the column, including the rubber boot, I got from National Parts Depot. New bearings, turn signal switch, gear indicator, and even steering wheel. It was a one-stop shop!

    What modifications did you have to make, if any, to fit the rimblow steering wheel on this truck? Also, would you happen to know if the same steering wheel would work on a 73-79 Ford truck column? Thanks

      It might fit better. The '67-'72 F100/250 uses a Falcon column "bell" and that has a smaller diameter than the later columns. So I am betting (not having touched a '73 Column yet) that the later trucks are a bit larger diameter.

    HEY, i LIKE YOUR VIDEOS, AND I HAVE A F100 71, I`M CHECKING SOME THINGS AND RECENTLY I CHANGED THE SWITCH BRAKE PEDAL AND I DIDNT KNOW THE PEDAL HAS A LOT OF MOVMENTS ( FEELS LOOSE) SO, NPD HAS ALL THE BUSHINGS THAT I NEED? i HAVE TO CHANGE THE ROLLER BEARING? I ALSO CHECK THE PEDAL PART THAT PUSH THE BAR IN THE BOOSTER AND DO NOT HAVE A BUSHING, SO THE PROBLEM IS: THE SWITCH BRAKE DOES NOT TURN OFF

    Great vid. I have a 78 Ford F100. Can you tell me what the connector looks like that the sensor wire plugs into? The connector that goes into the firewall. Thanks!

      Bryan, I haven't messed with the later trucks so I can't really say. I'd hit www.fordification.com and see if there is any help to be had there.

    Where did you get that sweet steering wheel?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a 1969 Mach 1 wheel. It requires a different turn signal switch ('67 Mustang) and a ground wire to install it. Contact me at jford@autorestomod.com and I can give you the info.

    yeah, I’m not taking my column out, just make a slit down the center and put it up and around the column

    I don’t have time to spend ripping apart my steering column and firewall. Can’t I just slit the pad and stitch it back up!?

    • @AutoRestoMod

      You can do that. as long as you don't mind the view!

      @@AutoRestoMod the structure it self ? Or just the core, fan, boot, those can be replaced. Mine came with Factory air so I don't have the heater box since it is part of the mini fridge A/C
