It doesn't matter if you feel she shouldn't be crying during a school introduction. She is sad and feels like crying so she should cry. The issue the whole movie is that Joy is not letting Sadness do her job therefore not letting Riley grieve in a healthy way. Letting Sadness do her job would've literally prevented everything that ended up happening. Joy is a perfect example of toxic positivity
