Thank you for a detailed video, I saved it for future reference. I used a hard firebrick for the forge floor (but mine is made of a smaller helium/freon tank).
An oven builder told me he uses water glass, 50/50 water glass and water to spray it. He said it works fine up to 1200C. I have the same problem, no commercial rigidizer in Europe.
for future viewers do not use stainless either. Use black iron. When heated both galvanized parts and stainless release toxic chemicals like chromium. Use black iron fittings as they release no harmful gases even when heated.

Very good video I'm going to make one myself and it looks like something someone could make in 2-3 days.
I feel like building one of these forges is like carving a metal pumpkin.
Nice work! Bravo
good evening, excellent video, I would like to know what is the blue product that applies, thanks

Does this get up to forging temperature? Looking at making something similar
Yes
Do th 1-3/4 bell reducers have to be stainless?
You don’t want to use galvanized, it can release toxic gas.

I have a question, is it aerosol high heat paint?
