Dear Sophy, thanks for being an inspiration. I love not only the technical difficulty aspect of your work but also your aesthetic sense and the resulting design language. Keep being awesome and have a nice day.
This is asking for a whole series of making wearable tech. Also, EL-wire. Use some trenchcoat or cardigan sort of stuff with EL wire in it, Tron style etc. It's really cool stuff. Some companies have even started making coats that have LEDs on the back that can react to left and right and brake switches on bikes to HUGELY show what you are wanting or going to do.
Cool ideas, love the printing direct to mesh and the paper craft on the helmet is a great weight saving idea and executed to perfection, looks metal to me! Do you have a master switch for the finger tip switches? I would imagine it is a problem if you touch a metal surface! Perhaps an extra touch switch on the wrist to turn the finger tips on/off? Great ideas, look forward to seeing more of your work
Where did the whole "Rabbit ear sensors" thing start? I love them but It seems like every franchise with robots, cyborgs and/or mecha has at least one rabbit ear doohickey in it. Macross, Appleseed, Patlabor (the GOAT mecha series and my personal favorite, fight me), Chappie, even Gundam has a few. The earliest example I can think of is Macross but that seems like it could just be the tip of the iceberg.
@@humanoidmodel4217 , you're welcome! If you're new to this scene, here is some inspiration, a project controlled with Arduino (The same chip/board used in many of these projects)! th-cam.com/video/vOLvFhdkLmA/w-d-xo.html I have other tips on my channel.
whyyyyyy did you show other pictures, when she was talking about what and where the pieces are form and made off... i'm soo sad right now.. good chanel otherwise :)
Why sad? They were showing the parts in question. When she mentioned the diffuser made of hot glue, they showed that, and same with the corrugated paper. On the main camera she was pointing to them and the helmet is far away from the camera, so they used these closer shots.
Of course she's no Sexy Cyborg... Naomi is Naomi and Sophy is Sophy, that's kinda the way it works, But she is definitely kool in her own unique way, look forward to seeing more of her ideas
Sophy is awesome! Thanks for highlighting her😁👍
lol, when I heard of wearable technology, I thought of you. And here you are.

Sophy is fantastic. Thank you for introducing us to her work!
OMG...I cried while watching this video. You have no idea how everything on here was soo important for me.
Kisses from a Maker Brazilian Girl.
The Mesh printing and the helmet is awesome! Thanks for making this video
So awesome to see Sophy here!!!!
It’s cool seeing the intersection of art and tech! I loved the helmet.
More of these interviews please. They are the best thing on your channel at the moment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
great stuff, invite her again to show more of her stuff, maybe a full build video
I heard of 3D printing on mesh but never seen it in action before. Very cool video.
the mesh printing thing is AWESOME. i had never seen that.
Omg I know her! If you haven't see Sophie and her projects before you are MISSING out!
@SOPHY!!!! She is amazing! Love to see her getting more notice!

Awesome. I've 3D printed directly on different substrates before, never thought about fabric though. It's given me an idea or two.
This is some dope stuff
that jacket is insanely awesome, bet we will see it in cyberpunk 2077
1:55 - Are those wires hot glued to the pads?
Might just be hot glue to prevent shorts?
Sophy is Amazing (and cute too)!
Was Norm laughing under his breath at 4:47?
Wish they talked about the visor a bit, it seems super cool.
Is there a practical reason for lighting inside the helmet?
No practical reason :) It's just how movies always do it so the audience can see the actor's face.
@@AdrianParkinsonFilms in fact, the light in the helmet would blind them and limit their vision, right?
@@Funnysterste Exactly. But it looks cool on camera.
What is the name of the company she mentions at 8:39 ? sounds like "ate a fruit"?
Adafruit
@@TheRainHarvester Thank you :)

Check out 'Ask an engineer' on their TH-cam channel, it is a weekly roundup of maker news, cool projects and has quite a bit of wearable tech too
Nice work Sophy! @Norm - how would one connect with You/Tested to show you some wearable tech you might like?
Sometimes i have ideas like this but im bad making it..
I loved ALL!!
Try it! You're getting better and better during the time.
this is nice because it actually looks very doable for the average person at home
I LOVE the meow glove hahah 🐱
When she was talking about flex in wires, she made my Alexa add shit to my shopping list
Oh man looks so cyberpunk. damn thats cool
I spot an Adafruit Gemma in the first piece. ❤👍

Pretty cool.
I long for a day I can go around wearing a full helmet without seeming suspicious.
Pandemic anyone?
Why have you veiws gone down. TH-cam's terrible algorithms
someone make rgb tassels
The goggles remind me of Chappy
hmm the title made me think this was maybe AR related
that jacket looks like it's infested with barnacles.
Nice cosplay
