Well if there is NPC that may do something really fucked up for aniz it would be albedo. Why because she wants to hunt there rest of the Supreme beings she sees them as traitors but if aniz kmew what she intend to do we can't say her head would still be attached to her body
The reason Demiurge doesn't share his sheep farm is actually a human farm with Ainz isn't because it's a detail to minor for Ainz to need to know, it's because Demiurge assumes Ainz is in on it and both of them calling the humans "sheep" is a joke. Same reason he never goes into detail about most things, why would he need to when obviously Ainz already knows and they can both just be vague and coy while still communicating perfectly with one another?
Isn't the 'sheep farm' actually full of sheep-like demi-humans from the Albion region? Though, considering the 'breeding experiments', there may be some humans there, too.
@@colinsmith1495 Nope, the farm is made up of humans that Demiurge called a kind of bipedal sheep, because haha we're farming the human's skin like a type of livestock. Ainz did not pick up on the joke and assumed Demiurge was talking about a new type of bipedal chimera. Edit: I believe volume 12 even alluded to it mentioning that some entire villages in the Holy Kingdom had gone missing with no known culprit.

Alright so a few things that I want to clarify for anyone. Ainz's guild wasn't the number 1 guild in the game they were in the top 10. They had the most world items out of all the guilds and had touchme as a member who was a world champion witch is a title that was earned in a tournament held by the developers one champion for each of the 9 worlds in the game. Also Ainz is far from stupid he just over thinks and worries about his decisions because he doesn't want to disappoint the NPCs. He's actually pretty impressive given that he only completed elementary school since in his original world schooling was extremely expensive so he couldn't afford higher education and had to jump into the workforce instead. For when he touched Albedo he only did that to confirm weather he was still in the game world or not since in the game sexual actions like that weren't allowed and would get you banned so he did it to test if he was still in the game. He doesn't do anything with the NPCS because he's sexual desires as a human were dulled to to point of almost non existence since he became a undead and his guilt of altering Albedo to love him prevents him from doing anything with her. Demiurge isn't hiding his actions from Ainz but just thinks he already knows since to him Ainz is to smart not to know. He called the humans he's experimenting on sheep as a joke and assumes Ainz gets the joke and is playing along with him while Ainz actually thinks he's experimenting on sheep like chimeras.
Let's not forget about his passive that help him to reprime most of his emotion, like embaressment ecc... so sexual desire are most at zero or only tough without any body response, plus all npc are like child for him.
a big theory is Ainz’s character has a very high intellect. Which in turn, makes everything he’s doing in the new world seem more intelligent to the beings around him. Even if his internal monologue is “AAAAAAAAAAA” with how misunderstood his words are, he is living in an overlord with a karma of -500(extremely evil). He even has a force that regulates his emotion, so he can’t feel too excited or distressed.
One thing that Ainz-sama has over other Nazarick big-brains, is that he has a human perspective (in a way). Demiurge would not think of subjugating someone without sadisting the shit out of them first, Albedo will just treat them as trash and so on. Ainz-sama can think from both perspectives - evil and good
Dont forget that his creation pandoras actor is said to rival albedos interlect And as far as we know he didnt write this onto pandoras actors backstory, meaning he got his smarts from ainz himself
Personally I think it's more likely that is a fact written into his backstory. Ainz is smart, but he's still far from smart enough that PA could inherit that level of intellect from him. Plus Albedo probably wouldn't have known that his intellect rivalled her own unless it was a backstory feature, if it was just something he got from Ainz how would Albedo know how smart he is before she ever met him?
Ainz did actually write it into his backstory that he also smart because he would be *handling* finances. Why have someone incompetent handle funds? Plus fun fact: the reason he likes staying in the treasury is because that was written into his bio too, like "of course he just *LOVES* handling data crystals that's why he don't find it weird to be locked up here." And demiurge not knowing what ainz's actually goal, he thought ainz's goal was to conquer the world and rule it, while ainz's goal was to find his friends or at least let them know that he is in that world. In conclusion. Both ainz's and demiurge has different goals and they got themselves confused(especially ainz) of thinking the same goal. If ainz's actually wanted to conquer the world for himself. He'd be playing 4D chest.
In the 14th novel, Albedo is reading dozens upon dozens of thick binders containing detailed reports on literally everything in the sorcerer kingdom (The short scene at the beginning of season 4 episode 8). These are about anything and everything from economics, to logistics, foreign policies, internal affairs, military matters, etc and she flicks through the pages so fast you'd think she wasn't even paying attention. Yet with just a tiny glimpse she reads every word down to the tiniest of details, actively considers which parts are essential and SIMULTANEOUSLY is writing down a summary for Ainz with her other hand. At the same exact time she is also contemplating her duties as Guardian Overseer of Nazarick, dealing with the kinks in her secret plan on an international scale AND fantasizing about Momonga all at once. To say she is a bit smart is a HUGE understatement. She is looking at the past, present and future at the same time, at all times, from an impossible number of angles

There was an something I've read that stated Aniz himself said if it wasn't for his undead status nullifying ability keeping his emotions in check (ie no strong emotions) he would be plowing Albedo every night after work.

This is what I always thought, Ainz is the genius to have the management skills that he does & is so on top of maintaining his reputation. I know he doesn’t have as high an intellect as Albedo, Demuirge or Pandora’s Actor but the way he can maintain the guild and still be able to maintain him being a Supreme being is truly nothing short of genius levels
@@mahistv Don't forget that every supreme being voted unanimously to make Ainz the leader of the guild, and that the *very next thing* brought up directly afterwards was Momonga's plan to attack Nazerick and take it as their home base. No one had been able to conquer it before that, and they were only able to because of Momonga's strategy. I believe he's socially awkward with a bit of an inferiority complex.. but he's a grand-grand master chess player at strategy. His memory, sorting ability, strategy and game-knowledge are off the charts.

I think there is no greater proof than Ainz’s talk with Zanac that shows he’ll never be betrayed. Because he works for the happiness of all his “children/cousins”. I myself would feel immensely loyal to such a boss. One of the reasons Italian mafia and military is so prevalent because of the family atmosphere they create.

I believe that he is actually unknowingly in control of everything like his mind might not know what is going on but the overlord in himself actually knows everything being influenced by his character stats. So unknowingly he is actually scheming beyond everyone’s comprehension and manipulating nearly everything perfectly even if he doesn’t know it himself
On one hand - Ainz is undead meaning he shouldn't have feelings or emotions. However, Shalltear is also an undead. And if there is something that she is not - it's "emotionless" and "feelingless". So maybe something may spark at one moment. The problem of shlong absence is still unsolved though

It's just that most Liches were Undead who gave emotions up so they have no distractions from their pursuit of magic.

To be fair in a world where all governments have been replaced with corporations it makes sense that Ainz(and most people for that matter) would be ignorant of politics and official policies. Since the only experience in such matters would either be in video games or would be information entrusted only to those that could afford higher education(i.e. those with the potential to climb the corporate ladder and end up running those mega corporations).
Ainz is a fairly simple character when boiled down. A devoted leader who has spent a significant amount of time and energy toward the upkeep of an all but disbanded Guild. A Guild where Saturo made some of his first and perhaps only friends, so he dutifully maintains the monument out of respect. However, the abandonment and subsequent isolation contributed to a severe case of Imposter Syndrome and Loneliness. I believe it was this loneliness that drove Momonga to alter Albedo’s script so that in the final moments of YGGDRASIL he would have a companion and feel valued, even if just as roleplaying. But since the moment Ainz found himself in the New World he’s been maneuvering to secure the safety of the monument to his friends, the Tomb of Nazarick, and their creations. Often too busy being cautious to notice obvious interest from others or emotionally suppressed to act on desire or impulse.
I heard that Ainz incredibly high intelligence stat puts in work even if he doesn't know it. In other words, it's like a decision becomes the right decision just because he's the one who made it. His reasons for making the decision are irrelevant because his intelligence stat is the one guiding his hand and that's why everything seems to go according to a plan he hasn't even made, but also somehow seems to align with his ultimate goal. I imagine he had a fairly high charisma stat as well, which is why he's an expert at deception and swaying people's hearts. Imagine a skeleton walking into your guild after killing 100,000+ people and asking you to work for him of your own free will and you being like "Yeah that actually sounds like a really great idea. Glad I thought of it." lmao.

His people end up learning lessons he didn't intend to teach them, plans unfold flawlessly that he never made, avenues of strength and knowledge for Nazarick open up that he couldn't have foreseen, but all of these things are just way too connected to be a coincidence and it's because all of his decisions are predetermined by his intelligence stat. The schemes and plans that Albedo and Demiurge see in Ainz's actions are real, but they are made by his character's body rather than his human mind, which is why he can't see them himself.

Dont forget, ainz also has flavor text on his character. It says ainz is the strongest magic caster with appearance of skeleton. It says "the strongest". For me Its says everything And i think, there is more description to it too. That might be make his intelegent soaring to the top. In most novel, Intelegent is the one that make mana stats. But i think The reason is if you look at demiurge and albedo stats, their mana is not that high compare to other character with MAGE build like Mare but they are still smartest in nazarick. So maybe flavor text (background text Lore) and intelegent. I think even player has description slot for background character Lore. Or maybe just maybe what if momonga flavor text was created by tabula too or with ulbert too. But momonga just forget about it. Maybe they just make comedic lore about his character and make his intelegent soaring more. Imagine if they make ainz IQ 10000 but with comedy twist that his IQ just working on certain aspect and that the person itself thinking he is stupid, doesnt know it and doesnt know he is smart.? It will makes sense because in novel ainz describe himself has flaw . The fatal flaw that he often forget things but why he doesnt forget about his spell, ? I mean he has 718 spell to memorize. I come to this conclusion because i dont understand how ainz has emotion surpresion while shaltear doesnt have it too.

Actually, because ainz is a litch he had high intelligence so he gets more mana... His mana is highest in guild... Also because he opened so many cash shop boxes he has high luck to help for that... And due to that so many lucky things happen to him... It's confirmed... PA shows it to him by flipping coin... Ainz won 90+ out of hundred
Hey, great video. Not saying Satoru/momonga/ains is not smart, just a couple corrections that are mostly from the novels: -Ainz Ooal Gown (the guild), was never the most powerful. At their top, with all 41 members, they were the 9th (by no means a small achievement). This is partly why Satoru is so paranoid/worried about other players, he fears other guild with their base and a full roster might also been transported to the new world. - They were hated because they roleplayed as villians and PKed a lot. Also related to the first point. He fears his guild's reputation with other players would automatically make him a target. -He was made guild leader not because of skill but because of his impartiality. Basically he was a good listener. The original GL, Touch Me, had beef with other members. So they made Momonga leader, since they all respected him and no one had issues with him.
They weren't the most powerful in Yggdrasil, but would probably be the most powerful in New World since world items are even more broken there. Nobody even came close to the amound of world items Ainz Ooal Gown had(They had 11, 2nd place 3). Another thing is, they were a medium sized guild with only 41 members and still managed to get 9th place. If every guild had only 41 members, I wouldn't be surprised if they were 1st.

Not that any other guilds could win, since when they tried and even managed to get pretty far, after Victuim did his skill and basically undid their progress you can guess that most guilds pretty much thought they were impossible to beat.

Betrayal by the Floor Guardians is absolutely NOT impossible, and from what I've heard (haven't read the light novels myself), Albedo is indeed actively planning to betray Ainz, with an intent to keep him to herself without rival. Ainz specifically wants to find other players, and has expressed that, but Albedo has a plan in place to intercept any hint of other active players (aka Supreme Beings) and kill them before Ainz finds out, so he won't leave them.
You're close. Albedo does indeed have a secret plan to kill the other supreme beings if they're ever found but not because she wants Ainz all to herself. She's angry at them for abandoning Nazarick and Ainz is the only one that stayed.
I'm aware of that, I believe the saying is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". HOWEVER, I can totally see her melting if Tabula arrived and gave a decent enough explanation (Which is still a blasphemy but Albedo with her intellect will need a good reason to actually forgive) which, in all seriousness, wouldn't happen. I don't foresee Ainz-sama encountering his old comrades.

To be honest ... I don't really put any chips in this theory of "the Guardians betrayal". Yeah, Albedo seem to have animosity against the ones that made her beloved suffer, for being abandoned. But, they could easily go around it with a "it was a matter beyond even the powers of the supreme beings" (which would just make Momonga even more incredible in the Guardian's eyes). On the other hand, I do believe there will be a moment when the 7d chess Ainz is playing will blow up spectacularly, causing a civil war in the Sorcerer Kingdom!
What about the scene where Momonga changed his name to Ainz and Albedo whispered "So stupid..." or something like that. Is her loyalty to Momonga in danger because he changed his name?
Basically: Ainz isn't stupid, he lacks a formal education on statecraft and espionage. There's a difference. He's shown himself to have the capacity for such things, but those are fields in the world he came from that you just, can't possibly get an education on. It's irrelevant to his modern day.
If I remember correctly, the reason Ainz doesn't bang Albedo is bcs A.) She was a creation of one of his closest friends, B.) Because that calming aura that appears around him when he panic basically kills his "Drive", and C.) Bcs he was an undead and undeads don't exactly have a natural s3x drive since they don't need procreation to create more unded.
People commonly replaced their lungs despite using gas masks after prolonged exposure. It was not just a toxic atmosphere it was outright Poison from the other gasses in Oxygen being unbalanced, a green house effect that gets worst the longer it lasts.... Houses dont realy exsist anymore and are replaced by very small appartements Air purificatin system included. Farms had to be dependent on artificial lights to grow food and it had to be food that grows fast, provides a lot of calories and could be good to eat. Like potatoes and carrots... the more space they use for food the bigger the city needed to be and purifying air is not cheap.... it is something nuclear submarines sort of do allready and does so using its nuclear reactor to restructure a gas into proper oxygen in a controled ratio for the crew to breath. I agree with your take, he is not an idiot, he lacks this sort of experience and like every human will eventualy adapt to it or die trying... Well being undead gives him time to do it at least without dying from age or illnesses, his health will remain the same most likely forever. One big piece of information we have is something he himself said. A competent leader will give orders to the right people, a mentalilty he shares from being a fanatic of magic when hechoses what undead to summon.... A very pragmatic mindset... and his act is done to keep his throne more than to satisfy himself, he takes no pleasure in making others suffer, he simply knows that sometime life's a bitch and the weak are either taken from or protected. His view on life is mature and sure he is flawed but, out of most MC's that comes out this one is by far one of the better one, you can see the author took his time with every character and world piece, down the the Game's lore and its interactions with this New world. Not just trying to sell fanservice because it sells better.
I once heard the theory that Momonga's (I'm consciously using the name of his avatar) Intelligence stat got carried over to Ainz when he was transported to Yggdrasil (Which should be pretty high considering that he was the strongest Sorcerer in Yggdrasil, with well over the maximum amount of Spells). And thus even tho he isn't very smart, he subconsciously makes a lot of Very smart decisions.
I think this is correct. Sometimes it seems like he makes certain decisions on autopilot and it works! Not to diminish his original intellect, but still.
You forgot to mention how he is probably the best PVPer in that world. He had no business winning that fight against shalltear except for his knowledge.

So true. Demiurge considers the idea of creating a whole dynasty from Ainz in the second episode. You could dismiss Shalltear and Albedo as being insane with love and lust, but when Demiurge says it's possible; It's possible.
We also need to recognize that Eins' word is truth to the denizens of Nazarick. He's one of their 40 gods that "chose" to stay behind. Demiurges obfuscation also hearkens back to the mutual disdain most Nazarick denizens feel toward humans.
Maybe Ainz doesn’t put too much thought about world domination and his goal deviate from the guardians thats why he sounds surprised when he hears the plans from demiurge. I believe he can come up with a plan the same as Demiurge if he seriously do want world domination
I adore Overlord. It just rocks every box for me, funny, surprising, unpredictable in certain narratives and cast that’s fun and inventive and fleshed out. It’s excellent. I’ve even read the books I’m such a fan.
Ainz wasn't part of the strongest guild at there peak they where number 9 and after basically everyone left the guild he worked tirelessly and kept the guild rank at around 29

Well the author himself said that Ainz was an idiot... but when you read the novels he comes off more as someone who didnt get the chance to receive a proper education (He lived in a dystopia and only has primary education). However, Ainz has learned a lot through his adventures in Yggdrasil and compensates for his lack of knowledge by actually learning through books. Also they were never the top guild, they held the position in the top 9 but when everyone stopped playing they kept going down the rankings. They did however fight back against the largest player offensive seen on the server, which is seen in the anime on the first episode.

Ainz is my favorite type of 'smart'. He's not book smart or anything like that, he's cunning, fast at learning new info and know how to make plans on the fly. It's as if he's the leader of a MMO guild.

what i found amusing is he thought he was pulling a fast one when explaining the reason behind the potions. He did nor realise that that was his plan all along subconsciously . His conscious self finally caught up with his subconscious self lol.( That is how that scene came across from my perspective)
or when demiurge asked how many steps he thought ahead and he was wool gathering so his subconscious mind piped up 10,000 guiding his daydreaming and to speak out loud. ( So subconsciously he is 10,000 steps ahead )
1:25 pandora actor is at the same level of demiurgos and albedo in intelect, also his even stronger than them to have around, since albedo and demiourge use the same knoledge to achieve their objectives while pandoras actor is the personification of ainz real life ADHD problem, he gets into new and diferent conclusions that demiourge and albedo are unlikely to get without some hard work, like when (SPOILER) he bows to platinum dragon in his fight against him, he knew that was the best act he could have done to get more information while staying alive, while albedo would NEVER have done something like that if she had pandoras skills.

Indeed. Albedo and Demiurge are very complex, but pretty straightforward in their thinking. Doppelgangers tend to mimick far more than just the appearance, they mimick behaviour and thoughts as well (even the subconcious ones). It's in Pandoras nature to be a creative genius, thinking outside the box and entertaining crazy ideas that others would dismiss on face value.
To be honest... Nobody betray him acually. That's what Ainz/Suzuki Satoru TOLD THEM to do. When many of them wanted to bring up something up with their mannerism (aka. gasps or other body langages) they kinda inside disagree with him. And he told them and it's not acuall quote "you can bring up whatever is on your mind. I'm not perfect and want to see your angle on that matter". This also shows how much giga brain Ainz is, because: 1. He notice that in the first place. 2. He made them think for themself, so they can be more effective at their job (well he didn't really intended for that, he just wanted someone to talk to, rather that have automatons) 3. He incresed their loyalty by that choise. As they say "servitude by loyalty is more powerfull that through fear" Yes he may stumble here or there, but yeah he is really smart guy. Not to mention Suzuki REMEMBERS every part of the guild like it's palm on his hand. And every NPC. i can't even remember my co-workers after like year working with them. The best example i remember is when Cocytus was supose to test army on lizard people to see how much "level of this world" and after that Ainz desided it's best just to kill them all. Cocytus visibly tremble whe he heard that and Ainz told him "he should speak up" and Cocytus told Ainz he want to spare them, because he connects to their "fighting spirit". This swing Ainz desition to integrate them to his army.
Most of the things here are told clearly in the novel: 1. He is smart, but as a manager, not ruler. He often complain about managing subordinates with his slime friends. He can group players together like you say, and he knows how to guide his subordinates to the goal he makes. He also realizes that he is bad at ruling, so he secretly finds ways to let the NPC knows what to do and how to do it independently. Demiurge and PA quickly realizes it, while Albedo’s own plan is still in progress because she has more jobs to do as the Guardian Administrator. 2. About betrayal, one of Ainz’ first goal is to make sure that no NPC has a chance to betray him. That is why he is so afraid of World Items: they are too broken. That is also why they have to conquer the world very slowly despite they can evaporate the whole region with just a finger snap. 3. About the new source of power, it is his goal as well. He knows that everyone is at max level, so no matter what they do they cannot become stronger anymore. Finding new powers and monopolize them is the key to make Nazarick always stays at the top. Not to mention Nazarick’s resources are finite and one day those resources will be used up. 4. That is why, when being asked for Sorcerer country’s direction, he wants to make it a country where people want to live although their freedom is limited. One more reason that he does not bang is because the emotion dampener neutralize his horny before he can even say or do anything. For him, thinking about sexual activity is just a waste of time. Edit: about Ainz’s sexual act to Albedo in early episodes, that is not because he is horny. you kinda added a buncha fanfic mixed up with the canon material, specially the final paragraphs, he never talksa bout it being a "waste of time" tho he gets dampened, when we see his real self we kinda get why hes friends with peroroncino and while hed get in trouble for that act he did it to be loged out by it being flaged, it isnt said to be as extreme as you make it to be.
Even though Nazarick held a force of invasion of aprox. 1500 players and 8 guilds, they weren't the best guild in the game, if I remember correctly, they were top 9 at its peak, and as the guild members started to leaving the game they lost some positions. But still, most guilds in YGGDRASIL used to have a massive number of guild members, a guild with only 41 member holding back an invasion of 1500 players of 8 guilds.. pretty impressive I might say. Lucky them the others top guilds didn't want to involve with the invasion
Another reason why Ainz isn't likely to bone Albedo, Shalltear, Lupisregina, or any of the other waifus in Nazerick is because of his undead racial traits of minimizing/eliminating his emotional responses. At the moment he gained that trait, he only had deep respect for his fellow guildmates and the NPCs they had created. Ever since then, it takes an extremely strong emotional response to even temporarily overcome his naturally-cold undead heart. With Albedo, he feels some guilt for changing her bio before the servers went down, and with Shalltear, he feels even more understanding of her build than many of the other NPCs because of the amount of time he spent with Perroronchino discussing and planning every aspect of her character creation (except for the fetishes...). Without a world-record-tier sex drive, there's no way that Ainz will be able to gain a desire to bang some waifus that outweighs his natural emotional suppression, and without any desire, any magically-created genitals won't ever be stimulated enough to do anything.
I like to think that Yggdrasil is a sequel to the original guild war, but in VR. after all they both have the same guild mechanic. and other similarity.
Many people who read the novels dismiss ainz rulership capabilities, but he is in fact a very capable ruler. Ainz dumping the administrative duties on his subordinates is a good example of this. He knows they are more suited for the task, so he makes them do it. While his internal dialogue often seems to indicate that he's an idiot, his actions contradict this. He skillfully assigns his subordinates to suitable tasks; sebas blending in with human society, demiurge and albedo doing administrative work, cocytus conquering lizardmen. All of these things are a very good use of their respective skills. He also aims to grow their personalities and to learn new things, like with cocytus improving his command abilities. He also uses himself for things he is good at, he doesnt let his ego rule him and try to micromanage things he knows hes not suited for, instead using his own personal combat prowess, negotiation skill and charisma for things like converting fluder and the diplomatic mission to the dwarves. While in the novel, his internal monologue seems to hint that hes just winging it and is stupid, you must consider the fact that all other people in his world have personalities based on their traits. Renner has the genius trait and acts accordingly. Ainz is a high int overlord and to nobodys surprise, acts accordingly. How this affects him is unknown, maybe his subconcious guides his decisions, but at the end of the day, ainz does an excellent job of ruling nazarick and later his own kingdom. If he spent his time doing administrative tasks more suited for some of his subordinates, he wouldnt use his own skillset to the best extent so he does not do it.
Exactly the power of a true leader is delegating responsibility to the ones more suited for the task at hand. As well as bringing multiple different often opposing people traits to work together to achieve a goal. Which is why his guild made him leader.
Demiurge's plans were delivered to Aniz from the beginning and Ainz gave them his seal of approval, this is why Demiurge thinks that Ainz is on the joke of the sheeps. But the issue here, is that Ainz can't really understand everyone's reports, but because He is sure that Demiurge and Albedo are the best to look after the workings of the Sorceress Kingdom because they will always do what is best for Nazaric, he just seals everything they put on the table, without realizing that this two are as evil as they can come with everyone else that is not from Nazaric. As for betrayal, Albedo is the one living in fear of Ainz discovering that she is looking up players, so she can kill them before Ainz knows about them.
So true. The problem with loyalty lies in their individual ideas of how best to serve. This is perfectly illustrated when Ainz goes to fight Shalltear. Albedo and Demiurge argue like siblings over what to do about their elderly father. Albedo values freedom and allows Ainz to leave, where as Demiurge would have him restrained for his own safety. Both are loyal, but have different ideas on what's best for Ainz.
i think momonga is in reality a genius, because so many things he can remember, so many things he can do, all stats of all npc`s and there descriptions, everyone in nazarick from the lowest too the highest, how nazarick works as an whole, all his over 400 spells. this guy must be a genius even before he was transfered too the new world. the only thing he suffers his his selfesteem, when you look at his human life he must be hard on depression over years, and this makes him doupt anything, so he checks everything a 100 times before doing it. and in an mmo patience is the best thing you can have, all the old gamers in reality know that patience is everything in gaming, and suzuki has lots of patience. he thinks before he acts not acts before he thinks, that makes him unique in nazarick. his npc`s act before they think and ainz just don`t do that. so he wants them too learn too think first. even demiurge or albedo are just acting before they are thinking. all this concludes that suzuki really is an genius he exactly knows what he is doing. and one thing i must mention that others forget, momonga was one of only 3 ygdrasill players that can learn quickly and adopt there strategies even while playing pvp. he notice things others just can`t and react too them earlier then anyother can. even touch me or other players from ygdrasill have no chance in that department against him, thats also an reason he was so popular in his guild. he can think out of the box on an level only a few others can. thats why he can use the skill, the goal of all life is death so efficenly, he knows exacly when it is the right time too use it and that made him in the game extremly unique. thats why i think suzuki is an genius, he just lacks in nowledge in some things. you even see his genius in his build, his mana level is of the charge, too achieve an stat that is even over the max state is on its own more than an genius level. with that you can only imagine how op an character build could be from him if he wanted an damage dealer, healer or tank. even is rpg build is massively op, so that he even managed with this build too beat lvl 100 players that had spezial builds of any kind. and that is an impressive feat on it`s own and shows that he was very very inteligence even before.
as an undead his emotions are constantly supressed. When he's over excited it acts like he's affected by a spell and would bring him back to normal. you can see this with his anger. surprise. embarrassment ect. Also demi makes jokes about bipedal sheep and asumes that ainz gets the joke. So he keeps calling them that to continue the joke
It better not be dark souls/bloodborne/elden ring, unless you have the same mechanics like resurrection after death. Which will still suck, being ripped apart by a werewolf cannot be pleasant!
Often wondered.. that calming green aura Ainz gets due to being undead and what not, can the NPC's see it. It shimmers like enhancement magic, or combat buff magic. Makes me wonder if it is for the audiences benefit solely, or a possible damning tell for anyone with the skills to pick up on.
the thing is though with ainz's goal being to make a world where people can have fun like him and his friends did he would at some point, when things stabilize begin to look into experimentation with science rather than magic and see how the two would interact. taking penicillin as an example, while potions very well may be more effecitve thats on the micro scale, bone daddy is running a kingdom here so he cant rely on alchemists going out into the woods for his healthcare plan, as when the population increases in the comming years diseases will also boom while forests and other potion ingredients will plummet (see industrial revolution). you also need to be a skilled alchemist to get the higher tier potions that actually help the stronger people. penicillin however, that can be automated and scaled up. while the effects are greatly reduced it would still greatly reduce the consumption of otherwise expensive healing agents. plus with automation comes a monopoly which would also greatly reduce the risk of rebellion since no one wants to cut off grannies life line for slightly lower taxes, right America? this isnt restricted to medicine either, almost all modern advances would inevitably be required for a stable income thanks to ainz using undead labour or as we would see it, automated labour in the fields. taking many peasants away from the fields and into the towns and cities where the issues of medieval life start rising and his dream become untenable.

The reason Demiurge doesn't share his sheep farm is actually a human farm with Ainz isn't because it's a detail to minor for Ainz to need to know, it's because Demiurge assumes Ainz is in on it and both of them calling the humans "sheep" is a joke. Same reason he never goes into detail about most things, why would he need to when obviously Ainz already knows and they can both just be vague and coy while still communicating perfectly with one another?
Isn't the 'sheep farm' actually full of sheep-like demi-humans from the Albion region? Though, considering the 'breeding experiments', there may be some humans there, too.

Alright so a few things that I want to clarify for anyone. Ainz's guild wasn't the number 1 guild in the game they were in the top 10. They had the most world items out of all the guilds and had touchme as a member who was a world champion witch is a title that was earned in a tournament held by the developers one champion for each of the 9 worlds in the game. Also Ainz is far from stupid he just over thinks and worries about his decisions because he doesn't want to disappoint the NPCs. He's actually pretty impressive given that he only completed elementary school since in his original world schooling was extremely expensive so he couldn't afford higher education and had to jump into the workforce instead. For when he touched Albedo he only did that to confirm weather he was still in the game world or not since in the game sexual actions like that weren't allowed and would get you banned so he did it to test if he was still in the game. He doesn't do anything with the NPCS because he's sexual desires as a human were dulled to to point of almost non existence since he became a undead and his guilt of altering Albedo to love him prevents him from doing anything with her. Demiurge isn't hiding his actions from Ainz but just thinks he already knows since to him Ainz is to smart not to know. He called the humans he's experimenting on sheep as a joke and assumes Ainz gets the joke and is playing along with him while Ainz actually thinks he's experimenting on sheep like chimeras.

a big theory is Ainz’s character has a very high intellect. Which in turn, makes everything he’s doing in the new world seem more intelligent to the beings around him. Even if his internal monologue is “AAAAAAAAAAA” with how misunderstood his words are, he is living in an overlord with a karma of -500(extremely evil). He even has a force that regulates his emotion, so he can’t feel too excited or distressed.
One thing that Ainz-sama has over other Nazarick big-brains, is that he has a human perspective (in a way). Demiurge would not think of subjugating someone without sadisting the shit out of them first, Albedo will just treat them as trash and so on. Personally I think it's more likely that is a fact written into his backstory. Ainz is smart, but he's still far from smart enough that PA could inherit that level of intellect from him. Plus Albedo probably wouldn't have known that his intellect rivalled her own unless it was a backstory feature, if it was just something he got from Ainz how would Albedo know how smart he is before she ever met him?

In the 14th novel, Albedo is reading dozens upon dozens of thick binders containing detailed reports on literally everything in the sorcerer kingdom (The short scene at the beginning of season 4 episode 8). These are about anything and everything from economics, to logistics, foreign policies, internal affairs, military matters, etc and she flicks through the pages so fast you'd think she wasn't even paying attention.
Yet with just a tiny glimpse she reads every word down to the tiniest of details, actively considers which parts are essential and SIMULTANEOUSLY is writing down a summary for Ainz with her other hand. At the same exact time she is also contemplating her duties as Guardian Overseer of Nazarick, dealing with the kinks in her secret plan on an international scale AND fantasizing about Momonga all at once.
To say she is a bit smart is a HUGE understatement. She is looking at the past, present and future at the same time, at all times, from an impossible number of angles

I think there is no greater proof than Ainz’s talk with Zanac that shows he’ll never be betrayed. Because he works for the happiness of all his “children/cousins”. It's just that most Liches were Undead who gave emotions up so they have no distractions from their pursuit of magic.

To be fair in a world where all governments have been replaced with corporations it makes sense that Ainz(and most people for that matter) would be ignorant of politics and official policies. Since the only experience in such matters would either be in video games or would be information entrusted only to those that could afford higher education(i.e. those with the potential to climb the corporate ladder and end up running those mega corporations).
Ainz is a fairly simple character when boiled down.
A devoted leader who has spent a significant amount of time and energy toward the upkeep of an all but disbanded Guild. A Guild where Saturo made some of his first and perhaps only friends, so he dutifully maintains the monument out of respect. However, the abandonment and subsequent isolation contributed to a severe case of Imposter Syndrome and Loneliness. I believe it was this loneliness that drove Momonga to alter Albedo’s script so that in the final moments of YGGDRASIL he would have a companion and feel valued, even if just as roleplaying.
But since the moment Ainz found himself in the New World he’s been maneuvering to secure the safety of the monument to his friends, the Tomb of Nazarick, and their creations. Often too busy being cautious to notice obvious interest from others or emotionally suppressed to act on desire or impulse.
Interesting point of view, I honestly can't disagree much.
I heard that Ainz incredibly high intelligence stat puts in work even if he doesn't know it. In other words, it's like a decision becomes the right decision just because he's the one who made it. His reasons for making the decision are irrelevant because his intelligence stat is the one guiding his hand and that's why everything seems to go according to a plan he hasn't even made, but also somehow seems to align with his ultimate goal. I imagine he had a fairly high charisma stat as well, which is why he's an expert at deception and swaying people's hearts. Imagine a skeleton walking into your guild after killing 100,000+ people and asking you to work for him of your own free will and you being like "Yeah that actually sounds like a really great idea. Glad I thought of it." lmao.

His people end up learning lessons he didn't intend to teach them, plans unfold flawlessly that he never made, avenues of strength and knowledge for Nazarick open up that he couldn't have foreseen, but all of these things are just way too connected to be a coincidence and it's because all of his decisions are predetermined by his intelligence stat. The schemes and plans that Albedo and Demiurge see in Ainz's actions are real, but they are made by his character's body rather than his human mind, which is why he can't see them himself.

This is partly why Satoru is so paranoid/worried about other players, he fears other guild with their base and a full roster might also been transported to the new world.
- They were hated because they roleplayed as villians and PKed a lot.
Also related to the first point. He fears his guild's reputation with other players would automatically make him a target.
-He was made guild leader not because of skill but because of his impartiality. Basically he was a good listener.
The original GL, Touch Me, had beef with other members. So they made Momonga leader, since they all respected him and no one had issues with him.
They weren't the most powerful in Yggdrasil, but would probably be the most powerful in New World since world items are even more broken there. Nobody even came close to the amound of world items Ainz Ooal Gown had(They had 11, 2nd place 3). Another thing is, they were a medium sized guild with only 41 members and still managed to get 9th place. If every guild had only 41 members, I wouldn't be surprised if they were 1st.

Not that any other guilds could win, since when they tried and even managed to get pretty far, after Victuim did his skill and basically undid their progress you can guess that most guilds pretty much thought they were impossible to beat.

Betrayal by the Floor Guardians is absolutely NOT impossible, and from what I've heard (haven't read the light novels myself), Albedo is indeed actively planning to betray Ainz, with an intent to keep him to herself without rival. Ainz specifically wants to find other players, and has expressed that, but Albedo has a plan in place to intercept any hint of other active players (aka Supreme Beings) and kill them before Ainz finds out, so he won't leave them.
You're close. Albedo does indeed have a secret plan to kill the other supreme beings if they're ever found but not because she wants Ainz all to herself. She's angry at them for abandoning Nazarick and Ainz is the only one that stayed.
I'm aware of that, I believe the saying is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". HOWEVER, I can totally see her melting if Tabula arrived and gave a decent enough explanation (Which is still a blasphemy but Albedo with her intellect will need a good reason to actually forgive) which, in all seriousness, wouldn't happen. I don't foresee Ainz-sama encountering his old comrades.

To be honest ... I don't really put any chips in this theory of "the Guardians betrayal".
Yeah, Albedo seem to have animosity against the ones that made her beloved suffer, for being abandoned. But, they could easily go around it with a "it was a matter beyond even the powers of the supreme beings" (which would just make Momonga even more incredible in the Guardian's eyes).
On the other hand, I do believe there will be a moment when the 7d chess Ainz is playing will blow up spectacularly, causing a civil war in the Sorcerer Kingdom!

Basically: Ainz isn't stupid, he lacks a formal education on statecraft and espionage. There's a difference. He's shown himself to have the capacity for such things, but those are fields in the world he came from that you just, can't possibly get an education on. It's irrelevant to his modern day.

People commonly replaced their lungs despite using gas masks after prolonged exposure. It was not just a toxic atmosphere it was outright Poison from the other gasses in Oxygen being unbalanced, a green house effect that gets worst the longer it lasts.... Houses dont realy exsist anymore and are replaced by very small appartements Air purificatin system included. Farms had to be dependent on artificial lights to grow food and it had to be food that grows fast, provides a lot of calories and could be good to eat. Like potatoes and carrots... the more space they use for food the bigger the city needed to be and purifying air is not cheap.... it is something nuclear submarines sort of do allready and does so using its nuclear reactor to restructure a gas into proper oxygen in a controled ratio for the crew to breath. I agree with your take, he is not an idiot, he lacks this sort of experience and like every human will eventualy adapt to it or die trying... Well being undead gives him time to do it at least without dying from age or illnesses, his health will remain the same most likely forever. One big piece of information we have is something he himself said. A competent leader will give orders to the right people, a mentalilty he shares from being a fanatic of magic when hechoses what undead to summon.... A very pragmatic mindset... and his act is done to keep his throne more than to satisfy himself, he takes no pleasure in making others suffer, he simply knows that sometime life's a bitch and the weak are either taken from or protected. His view on life is mature and sure he is flawed but, out of most MC's that comes out this one is by far one of the better one, you can see the author took his time with every character and world piece, down the the Game's lore and its interactions with this New world. Not just trying to sell fanservice because it sells better.

I once heard the theory that Momonga's (I'm consciously using the name of his avatar) Intelligence stat got carried over to Ainz when he was transported to Yggdrasil (Which should be pretty high considering that he was the strongest Sorcerer in Yggdrasil, with well over the maximum amount of Spells). And thus even tho he isn't very smart, he subconsciously makes a lot of Very smart decisions.
I think this is correct. Sometimes it seems like he makes certain decisions on autopilot and it works! Not to diminish his original intellect, but still.

So true. Demiurge considers the idea of creating a whole dynasty from Ainz in the second episode. You could dismiss Shalltear and Albedo as being insane with love and lust, but when Demiurge says it's possible; It's possible.
We also need to recognize that Eins' word is truth to the denizens of Nazarick. He's one of their 40 gods that "chose" to stay behind. Demiurges obfuscation also hearkens back to the mutual disdain most Nazarick denizens feel toward humans.

Well the author himself said that Ainz was an idiot... but when you read the novels he comes off more as someone who didnt get the chance to receive a proper education (He lived in a dystopia and only has primary education). However, Ainz has learned a lot through his adventures in Yggdrasil and compensates for his lack of knowledge by actually learning through books.
Also they were never the top guild, they held the position in the top 9 but when everyone stopped playing they kept going down the rankings. They did however fight back against the largest player offensive seen on the server, which is seen in the anime on the first episode.
I see your point, knowledge, wisdom, experience etc are all different things and sometimes one compensates for another. Ainz-sama is a good example. When it comes to guild, since they are undefeated, for me they are the best)

Ainz is my favorite type of 'smart'. He's not book smart or anything like that, he's cunning, fast at learning new info and know how to make plans on the fly. It's as if he's the leader of a MMO guild.

Indeed. Albedo and Demiurge are very complex, but pretty straightforward in their thinking. Doppelgangers tend to mimick far more than just the appearance, they mimick behaviour and thoughts as well (even the subconcious ones). It's in Pandoras nature to be a creative genius, thinking outside the box and entertaining crazy ideas that others would dismiss on face value.

To be honest... Nobody betray him acually. That's what Ainz/Suzuki Satoru TOLD THEM to do. When many of them wanted to bring up something up with their mannerism (aka. gasps or other body langages) they kinda inside disagree with him. And he told them and it's not acuall quote "you can bring up whatever is on your mind. I'm not perfect and want to see your angle on that matter".
This also shows how much giga brain Ainz is, because:
1. He notice that in the first place.
2. He made them think for themself, so they can be more effective at their job (well he didn't really intended for that, he just wanted someone to talk to, rather that have automatons)
3. He incresed their loyalty by that choise. As they say "servitude by loyalty is more powerfull that through fear"
Yes he may stumble here or there, but yeah he is really smart guy.
Not to mention Suzuki REMEMBERS every part of the guild like it's palm on his hand. And every NPC. i can't even remember my co-workers after like year working with them.
The best example i remember is when Cocytus was supose to test army on lizard people to see how much "level of this world" and after that Ainz desided it's best just to kill them all.
Cocytus visibly tremble whe he heard that and Ainz told him "he should speak up" and Cocytus told Ainz he want to spare them, because he connects to their "fighting spirit". This swing Ainz desition to integrate them to his army.

Most of the things here are told clearly in the novel:
1. He is smart, but as a manager, not ruler. He often complain about managing subordinates with his slime friends. He can group players together like you say, and he knows how to guide his subordinates to the goal he makes. He also realizes that he is bad at ruling, so he secretly finds ways to let the NPC knows what to do and how to do it independently. Demiurge and PA quickly realizes it, while Albedo’s own plan is still in progress because she has more jobs to do as the Guardian Administrator.
2. About betrayal, one of Ainz’ first goal is to make sure that no NPC has a chance to betray him. That is why he is so afraid of World Items: they are too broken. That is also why they have to conquer the world very slowly despite they can evaporate the whole region with just a finger snap.
3. About the new source of power, it is his goal as well. He knows that everyone is at max level, so no matter what they do they cannot become stronger anymore. Finding new powers and monopolize them is the key to make Nazarick always stays at the top. Not to mention Nazarick’s resources are finite and one day those resources will be used up.
4. Although we can see he acts like an undead, not a real human, his way of running Nazarick is like a company, like a human manager. In his world, things are even more cruel. Gap between rich and poor, education is controlled, society’s happiness is nearly 0, etc. Most of people leaving guild is because they have more things to deal with in real world, like money problem or waking up early problem. That is why, when being asked for Sorcerer country’s direction, he wants to make it a country where people want to live although their freedom is limited. Yes, it is evil, but at least it is lesser evil now.
Btw, if you are on the phone and you are answering to your boss, you have to do a bow. Yes, even when you both are talking over the phone.
5. One more reason that he does not bang is because the emotion dampener neutralize his horny before he can even say or do anything. For him, thinking about sexual activity is just a waste of time.
Edit: about Ainz’s sexual act to Albedo in early episodes, that is not because he is horny. All MMO is very strict about adult content so if he makes acts like this, the whole system will go on alert mode and the dev will know right away. He hops the dev will see and help him logout. Even when the dev cannot see, the device will also record the act. So if he cannot go to work tomorrow and the police comes to his house (yeah its that serious), the record will be the evidence.
Now I think that Ainz is only a genius when he is a serial killer or a war criminal. Wait a minute…

Even though Nazarick held a force of invasion of aprox. 1500 players and 8 guilds, they weren't the best guild in the game, if I remember correctly, they were top 9 at its peak, and as the guild members started to leaving the game they lost some positions. But still, most guilds in YGGDRASIL used to have a massive number of guild members, a guild with only 41 member holding back an invasion of 1500 players of 8 guilds.. pretty impressive I might say.
Lucky them the others top guilds didn't want to involve with the invasion
That's my justification for calling them the best - undefeated, quality over quantity and insane dedication of it's members.

Another reason why Ainz isn't likely to bone Albedo, Shalltear, Lupisregina, or any of the other waifus in Nazerick is because of his undead racial traits of minimizing/eliminating his emotional responses. At the moment he gained that trait, he only had deep respect for his fellow guildmates and the NPCs they had created. Ever since then, it takes an extremely strong emotional response to even temporarily overcome his naturally-cold undead heart. With Albedo, he feels some guilt for changing her bio before the servers went down, and with Shalltear, he feels even more understanding of her build than many of the other NPCs because of the amount of time he spent with Perroronchino discussing and planning every aspect of her character creation (except for the fetishes...).
Without a world-record-tier sex drive, there's no way that Ainz will be able to gain a desire to bang some waifus that outweighs his natural emotional suppression, and without any desire, any magically-created genitals won't ever be stimulated enough to do anything.
I mean, Viagra exists, hopefully in one way or another)

I like to think that Yggdrasil is a sequel to the original guild war, but in VR. after all they both have the same guild mechanic. and other similarity.

Many people who read the novels dismiss ainz rulership capabilities, but he is in fact a very capable ruler. Ainz dumping the administrative duties on his subordinates is a good example of this. He knows they are more suited for the task, so he makes them do it. While his internal dialogue often seems to indicate that he's an idiot, his actions contradict this. He skillfully assigns his subordinates to suitable tasks; sebas blending in with human society, demiurge and albedo doing administrative work, cocytus conquering lizardmen.
All of these things are a very good use of their respective skills. He also aims to grow their personalities and to learn new things, like with cocytus improving his command abilities.
He also uses himself for things he is good at, he doesnt let his ego rule him and try to micromanage things he knows hes not suited for, instead using his own personal combat prowess, negotiation skill and charisma for things like converting fluder and the diplomatic mission to the dwarves. While in the novel, his internal monologue seems to hint that hes just winging it and is stupid, you must consider the fact that all other people in his world have personalities based on their traits. Renner has the genius trait and acts accordingly. Ainz is a high int overlord and to nobodys surprise, acts accordingly. How this affects him is unknown, maybe his subconcious guides his decisions, but at the end of the day, ainz does an excellent job of ruling nazarick and later his own kingdom.
If he spent his time doing administrative tasks more suited for some of his subordinates, he wouldnt use his own skillset to the best extent so he does not do it.
A good leader is the one who can inspire and delegate. Ainz-sama is a definition of that, season 4 won't let me lie.
Exactly the power of a true leader is delegating responsibility to the ones more suited for the task at hand. As well as bringing multiple different often opposing people traits to work together to achieve a goal. Which is why his guild made him leader.

Demiurge's plans were delivered to Aniz from the beginning and Ainz gave them his seal of approval, this is why Demiurge thinks that Ainz is on the joke of the sheeps.
But the issue here, is that Ainz can't really understand everyone's reports, but because He is sure that Demiurge and Albedo are the best to look after the workings of the Sorceress Kingdom because they will always do what is best for Nazaric, he just seals everything they put on the table, without realizing that this two are as evil as they can come with everyone else that is not from Nazaric.
As for betrayal, Albedo is the one living in fear of Ainz discovering that she is looking up players, so she can kill them before Ainz knows about them.

So true. The problem with loyalty lies in their individual ideas of how best to serve. This is perfectly illustrated when Ainz goes to fight Shalltear. Albedo and Demiurge argue like siblings over what to do about their elderly father. Albedo values freedom and allows Ainz to leave, where as Demiurge would have him restrained for his own safety. Both are loyal, but have different ideas on what's best for Ainz.

i think momonga is in reality a genius, because so many things he can remember, so many things he can do, all stats of all npc`s and there descriptions, everyone in nazarick from the lowest too the highest, how nazarick works as an whole, all his over 400 spells. this guy must be a genius even before he was transfered too the new world.

and one thing i must mention that others forget, momonga was one of only 3 ygdrasill players that can learn quickly and adopt there strategies even while playing pvp. he notice things others just can`t and react too them earlier then anyother can. even touch me or other players from ygdrasill have no chance in that department against him, thats also an reason he was so popular in his guild. he can think out of the box on an level only a few others can. thats why he can use the skill, the goal of all life is death so efficenly, he knows exacly when it is the right time too use it and that made him in the game extremly unique.
thats why i think suzuki is an genius, he just lacks in nowledge in some things. you even see his genius in his build, his mana level is of the charge, too achieve an stat that is even over the max state is on its own more than an genius level.
with that you can only imagine how op an character build could be from him if he wanted an damage dealer, healer or tank. even is rpg build is massively op, so that he even managed with this build too beat lvl 100 players that had spezial builds of any kind. and that is an impressive feat on it`s own and shows that he was very very inteligence even before.

Often wondered.. that calming green aura Ainz gets due to being undead and what not, can the NPC's see it. It shimmers like enhancement magic, or combat buff magic. Makes me wonder if it is for the audiences benefit solely, or a possible damning tell for anyone with the skills to pick up on.
I think its for our entertainment. Others don't seem to react to it at all
the thing is though with ainz's goal being to make a world where people can have fun like him and his friends did he would at some point, when things stabilize begin to look into experimentation with science rather than magic and see how the two would interact.
taking penicillin as an example, while potions very well may be more effecitve thats on the micro scale, bone daddy is running a kingdom here so he cant rely on alchemists going out into the woods for his healthcare plan, as when the population increases in the comming years diseases will also boom while forests and other potion ingredients will plummet (see industrial revolution). you also need to be a skilled alchemist to get the higher tier potions that actually help the stronger people.
penicillin however, that can be automated and scaled up. while the effects are greatly reduced it would still greatly reduce the consumption of otherwise expensive healing agents. plus with automation comes a monopoly which would also greatly reduce the risk of rebellion since no one wants to cut off grannies life line for slightly lower taxes, right America?
this isnt restricted to medicine either, almost all modern advances would inevitably be required for a stable income thanks to ainz using undead labour or as we would see it, automated labour in the fields. taking many peasants away from the fields and into the towns and cities where the issues of medieval life start rising and his dream become untenable.
I agree, this is a good way to proceed. Though, I don't know how Ainz-sama will do this, as he doesn't like progress after what it has done to his world
