I went to one a couple weeks ago. It was funny cuz i told the woman that i don't make big financial decisions without putting some thought into it first especially not on vacation. She said well some people would argue that this is the best time. And I'm like wait people would argue that the best time to make life changing financial decisions is when your emotions are high, you're relxed and may not totally be on your Ps and Q's? Like ya ok lol

I signed up for a vacation package in Jamaica this week-it's a 10k deal, nothing too crazy. Considering that I usually spend over 6k for vacations for just me and my wife, and over 10k when we bring our three kids, it’ll pay for itself after just one or two family trips. Of course, it depends on how often you travel and the package you choose, but this one works for me. We even got three seven-day all-inclusive vacations from the promo, which is a great value. Since I typically spend 10k+ a year on vacations, it made sense as a frequent traveler. I paid upfront, so there’s no need for monthly payments or interest. Plus, we got extra perks like VIP access, butler service, a private driver, ocean-view rooms, and excursions for doing that. My budget was under 15k for something like this-anything more, and I wouldn’t recommend it, even if you can afford it. Spending 75k is just wild; you could buy a vacation home for that! My advice is to do your homework and crunch the numbers. In the past five years, I’ve spent over 30k on vacations, so for me, this deal made sense.

Hi, thanks for sharing. Sounds like you got a good deal. Let me know what your thoughts are after the first time you use it. Sometimes there are associated costs that they tack on and you find yourself paying 75% of the trip out of pocket. Hope that's not the case for you. Keep me posted and make sure you read every line in the contract.

I just recently signed up for a holiday lounge power by carnival. 12k membership. The part that sold me was. Even if I don’t use the vacation. I can sell it to friends and family would are vacating to that area and charge them whatever.
So a vacation that would cost them 3000+ for a week. I can book it for them at 299-628 on my membership and charge them whatever I like.

@@melainekemmegne8632 I think it’s worth it. Especially if traveling is your thing. Even if u don’t personally use it. U can act as a travel agent and book vacation or hotel for people. U compared prices. And booked using your membership which would cost you way less then charge the individual whatever u like.
It’s definitely worth it. Also u can pass the membership to your love ones.

Hey guys! So my husband and I spins the wheel to win a prize/free vacation trip for two. “HNG” 😂 I asked what’s the catch? The rep was nice and presentable and said there’s no catch but you have to show up to the presentation. We did pay $40 refundable deposit. We’re gonna attend but thanks to your video we know exactly what to expect. We already agreed we’re not purchasing anything just going to get our “prize” hopefully and our refundable deposit. We shall see…tbc 10/12/24

It certainly is more appealing. One thing I did was balk at the cost of a new membership/contract. I have a rule to asl about a used market. Lo and behold they had another rep juat for that! Ended up getting a contract dor 90% of the time at over 60% off. I work remotely so the olan is to give it a shot for a year and see what's up

Same here, we negotiated too and got 75% off! We also paid cash so we won't be paying interest. I do also have that much PTO so we're able to take the trips whenever we like. Calling it a scam is misleading the public on this one.

I have used my membership 3 times this year. Each time I have been at a property; the staff has been trying to upsell me on another higher package. I did the same thing; listened to the spiel on the new package and then declined. I asked about used packages and also declined those as well. I am satisfied where I am at in their membership tier.

I got a deal for $4100 everything included with unlimited getaways 5 year plan $88 a month for 36 months I split that down with 3 people best deal of a life time thru holiday lounge / interval international access to over 5000 resort around the world you just gotta know how to rock a deal

I got one today for $7500. I think it was a pretty good deal. They started at 20k and I wasn't having it, but for $7,500 and I get 3 bedroom resorts, I think it was a good deal. Especially since I have 7 children. I could pay that in cash and have great vacations for the rest of my life. I can take 5 vacations on points and unlimited week get aways for $199-$339. Even at $339 that same vacation would be at least $199 a night for my family size. I'm also a business owner so I have a lot of free time to travel. I would have paid $7500 cash for the unlimited 199 paid vacations without the points.

Commenting so i come back here. Wan in a pitch last week that almost made sense. 11k for their entry level plan with access to Karisma hotels and resorts. 9 months no interest which we would pay off in January to beat that. 10 year term. No annual fees and unlimited sharing of the benefits. I said no because i just wasn’t giving anybody a yes lol! Exotic Travelers was the company. Anyone have experience with them?

Still trying to figure out how you think that you received a free dinner?
    125.00 for going
    Then only 75% off
You should have just paid for the dinner, it would have been cheaper. Lol

    • @UrbanFinance
      @UrbanFinance  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

I said they told me the dinner was going to be free, not that it was free. I didn't have to pay to sit through their sales pitch. They gave me 75% off for the candlelight dinner which cost $120.00, so the total out-of-pocket was $30.00 for the dinner. If you factor in the fact that I made money from TH-cam ads from this video, I guess the dinner was technically free because I made more than $30.00 from this video. 😉
