@@shinobi-no-bueno "I have claimed that Escape is one of the main functions of fairy-stories, and since I do not disapprove of them, it is plain that I do not accept the tone of scorn or pity with which “Escape” is now so often used: a tone for which the uses of the word outside literary criticism give no warrant at all. In what the misusers are fond of calling Real Life, Escape is evidently as a rule very practical, and may even be heroic. In real life it is difficult to blame it, unless it fails; in criticism it would seem to be the worse the better it succeeds. Evidently we are faced by a misuse of words, and also by a confusion of thought. Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if, when he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison-walls? The world outside has not become less real because the prisoner cannot see it. In using escape in this way the critics have chosen the wrong word, and, what is more, they are confusing, not always by sincere error, the Escape of the Prisoner with the Flight of the Deserter. Just so a Party-spokesman might have labelled departure from the misery of the Führer’s or any other Reich and even criticism of it as treachery. In the same way these critics, to make confusion worse, and so to bring into contempt their opponents, stick their label of scorn not only on to Desertion, but on to real Escape, and what are often its companions, Disgust, Anger, Condemnation, and Revolt. Not only do they confound the escape of the prisoner with the flight of the deserter; but they would seem to prefer the acquiescence of the “quisling” to the resistance of the patriot. To such thinking you have only to say “the land you loved is doomed” to excuse any treachery, indeed to glorify it. [Escape in: On Fairy-Stories, J.R.R. They wrote, perhaps, two episodes of usable plot elements, and stretched it over an entire season. It’d be laughable if you weren’t already bored to rage-induced tears. It’s one of the worst TV shows I’ve ever seen.
It's written like a 13 year old girls fan fiction made for 8th grade English class. Except I feel an 8th grader would have put more thought into theirs
Never watched a single minute of it but when I saw what they were saying about LOTR fans and preventing them reviewing their show I deleted my Amazon account of 20+ years.
Bravo you you Jonathan B! That is simply brilliant. So many people have been canceling like crazy for how prime perverted the Legendarium and how low they sunk to disrespect Tolkien. And then they thought they could treat fans like trash. It’s definitely been a rude awakening for Amazon. Thank you again for standing tall. Wishing you a phenomenal week! Always Forward!! 😊
Any Tolkien cookbook worth its salt would include simple recipes and many potatoes. One of my favourite scenes in all the legendarium is Turins first encounter with Mim, and the subsequent murder of Mim's son over what Turins men thought was 'riches' but was in fact potatoes: which indeed were riches...because winter was coming and they were for eating later... Po Ta To Tolkien expressed a liking for simple English fare, and none of that French rubbish, specifically, in his letters. I have forgotten more lore than RoP had in the entire series
There was an excellent series of fantasy novels that was The Dragon Lance sagas, and in them there is a potato dish that was well enjoyed by the weary characters. Those books are worth reading, but I’m commenting here just to tell you that the recipe for Otik’s Spiced Potatoes was included and is available online. Perhaps you could use the achievement of those writers to celebrate the way Tolkien should have been respected. If you do this I am raising my spiced potato to yours as a “cheers” to those who stayed true
...what's the deal with those, anyway? Does this mean Peru exists in LotR, where taters came from just 400 years ago, 350 if you want to go closer to time of writing? Will Hobbits be eating potatoes, because they would be a NECESSARY imported food stock on an island nation that can't otherwise sustain its population growth during industrialization? What it can sustain, is giant fleets of ships and trading companies raiding foreign places for seeds and tubers. Very hobbit-like. Will Hobbits shrug their shoulders and REPLACE the culturally integral ingredient when a potato famine occurs, instead of just starving? Or perhaps the Hobbits are not resourceful enough to FIND other options, which makes their community LIKE an island nation for that reason. Will they drop by the local Aldi and get some perfectly bred Cavendish bananas, or is that kind fo thing JUST for having the exact UK food culture, of making stews and such to go with some rabbit and kidney pie? It certainly isn't going with any WESTERN foods, like all the spirits and cheeses, you know, the ones NAMED AFTER EXISTING LOCATIONS. It's more fitting for the palate of regressive Abrahamic cowards, who tend to drop their crosses to bear, and FLEE the moment there's a religious upheavel and testing of your faith. A test to stand your ground and put faith and diplomacy before tyranny of kings. Otherwise you might jsut take off on a boat and tyrannize foreign natives like nobody has before, leaving insane sects rampant at the ground you left them on. Let's not forget, there is no such thing as the giants or the nephilim, only a SOLDIER by the name of Goliath.
Always David! You can count on that. No shilling here at any price for anything. Tolkien gifted the world a mythological masterpiece and it will always be honored , respected and defended here. Thank you for the kind words my friend. Cheers!!
Goodness, when I saw the title, I dreaded that the first ingredient in the Harfoot recipe would be "Harfoot." "Nobody eats alone." Great video, and thank you for constantly encouraging this amazing fandom to fight back! Tolkien forever!
You are not alone there Drones Club High Jinks. When I discovered it I was dreading to read the actual recipe. Thinking they couldn’t be that idiotic and gross to put actual Harfoot as an ingredient. Awesome! Love this Lateral Twitler. Having the entire Fellowship step up and stand tall against Prime’s abomination has been a joy to behold. Many thanks and much appreciation to you my friend for what you wrote. It’s priceless. Wishing you a magnificent week!! Always Forward!! 😊
I love the Rangs o' Power podcast. It's one of the most terrible things I've ever heard,. After the show has flopped so hard, it's hilarious to hear the host--who sounds like kindergarten teacher talking to a room full of five year olds for some reason--interview the actors and showrunners, and say things like, "I thought it was just BRILL-ant how you were able to disguise who Sauron was;" or, "that scene was SO beautiful! It brought a TEAR to my eye!" And of course, the funniest, "your portrayal of Galadriel was SO nuanced!" And her enthusiasm about all the "answers" we're going to get in season two...it's just all so wonderfully incongruent and funny. It's like a children's magician who was mistakenly booked to perform at a funeral, and decided she was going ahead with her act anyway, complete and unaltered, audience participation and all.
The first rat has jumped the ship. More will follow. Either voluntarily or unvoluntarily. And meanwhile Lex :Luthor will continue to waste more money. And that goes me a happy.
I saw an article on Inside Amazon, Amazon's internal website, and after two days it had ZERO comments! Most Rangz articles before or during the show were flooded with the normal Stan comments praising it to high heaven. After the show no one even bothered to comment at all, so sweet. Keep up the great work George. And where was the Harfoot BBQ ribs recipe? Made from decaravaned Harfoots.
Makes you wonder just how organic all those stan comments were. A complete lack of comments at all sounds a lot like someone in the media dept was moved to other duties when the show ended. (edit: spooling and grandma)
WoW! Didn’t think it would go on internally as well. Hammer of Science I thought the propaganda was primarily reserved for the public. Many, many thanks for sharing that. Have a good one!
As soon as I've seen the chainmail printed on long sleeved shirts, all my limited hope for this series died instantly. Maybe Amazon could spend another billion dollars to get themself some passion and a soul.
I’m still stunned by how everything looked so cheap for how much money they spent. I’ve seen high school theater productions that were more believable. Do you think, Khobotov, that it was just arrogance or simply a pure disconnection and lack of love for Tolkien that lead them to treat it so poorly? I think the studio wouldn’t know what passion and love look like if they were packaged in a box for sale at a local grocery store. Many thanks my friend for your great insight. Hope this finds you well. Have a magnificent week!
A lot of the lotr/tolkien fb pages started turning on anyone who criticized ROPwer and were categorizing them as bigoted and hateful. I don't know if they maintained that attitude all the way to today after ROP's verified failure bc I unsubscribed from them due to nausea and despair. Tolkien wouldnt be able to recognize or validate the social sickness of his "online approved" fandom.
Steve the Harfoots have to be some of the cringiest characters I have ever seen. And to top it all off they behave exactly opposite of their words. They are like a psychotic troupe of cutthroats. Appreciate you sharing your spot on thoughts. Have a fantastic week my friend! Always Forward!!
I’ve heard that Andor was great. To me, it’s irrelevant. So long as all roads lead back to the Disney Sequel Trilogy, is simply couldn’t care less. But I sure did enjoy reading and playing Kyle Katarn’s story. Who is he? The Lucas character that ‘inspired’ Jyn, Cassian and Finn. And between all three of them, they barely scratch the surface of his character.
Excellent video, George! Even though I've not yet read the books or watched the movies (I'm way behind on my reading and watching), I could tell just from the trailers that ROP would be garbage. I hope they wake up at Amazon, but I think I'll see actual flying purple pigs before that ever happens.
Hi George! Thanks for another round of nail-on-the-head commentary. I didn't know about Amazon's "Rings of Power" recipe videos. I thought that series was supposed to give us the meat and give it to us raw. But now that you've told me, I got a dish for the ROP production team. Cooked goose! Keep up the good work!
Cooked goose!! 🤣 I love it Mary Anne Landers! You have made my week. You know if Prime had simply spent a handful of seconds they could have discovered great Tolkien based cookbooks with recipes that are more authentic. It would have shown that they could at least do one thing right. But Amazon is simply intent on going down with the USS Arrogance. Thank you my friend. Appreciate all your incredible support! Cheers!!
Rings of Power is like a Chimps tea party. From a distance it all looks fairly normal but when you get up close you end up pissing yourself laughing at the comedy on show.
Adar's actor was actually alright. That said, I think the screenwriters created Adar as a stencil of Brad Dourif's portrayal of Grima Wormtongue, and somehow the actor managed to pull that off to his credit!
Check out SirBookSage ROP playlist: his ROP related content there is great. Each of his episodes from before during and post mortem of the series was amazing and ontop of that his lore stuff and how he explained it all putting much into perspective is just amazingness
Joseph Mawle saw the writing on the wall and hit the bricks. He has been in a few series especially for the BBC for several seasons and never once said, ‘you know I am an artist and like exploring new characters. Bye!’ He missed out on Jackson’s LOTR trilogy and he said in an interview he always wished to be in anything Tolkien related. He jumped for this role and then saw what they made of it. Trash. Hope you have a fantastic week Aaron!!
Thanks Truth Seeker for saying that. Greatly appreciate it. No worries on that front my friend. Only way I know how to live is just being me. Wishing you an outstanding week!!
Couldn't have happened to a nicer company. Okay, sarcasm aside, they did this to themselves. All they had to do was somewhat stick to whatever source material they were allowed to use, respect the author and his work, and not treat the potential customers (IE viewers) like dirt before even the first episode dropped. They couldn't do any of that. I feel for the people involved in the production that are stuck with contracts and perhaps regretting their decision to involve themselves with this project, but the showrunners and the actors/actresses that ran their mouths and insulted anyone who had even mild criticism ... well, they reap what they sowed and it's a bitter harvest indeed.
"Just got run over like Texas Road Kill," and that is most glorious. Shall we allude to the classic Hobbit that Phandom and Company set off to the "Lonely Mountain," and slayed (as George alluded to) the dragon! But remember the battle of 5' Armies aka the Battles of 6 Seasons await. Let us bring it to three seasons and bring it down. And let EXSURGE TOLKIEN unit us all!
What they fail to understand is if you make a mockery of an I.P. we love, you make a mockery of us. To add insult to injury they called us racist bigots and went even further and attacked the original author and creator insinuating that he was a racist bigot. Whatever good will they think they deserve or earned they lost and they only have themselves to blame.
Absolutely! They only have themselves to blame GigAkuma. Could not have said it better myself. Prime disrespected the Professor and his life’s work, attacked him and then the fans. There is no return from such a catastrophic set of decisions. Appreciate your comment my friend. Wishing you a marvelous week!! 😊
Good work, George. Thanks for speaking out about the Tolkien rip off. You helped the millions of fans when we needed you. Amazon showed their true colours by attacking the fans, and are so stupid that they took a surefire success and failed utterly. If they just put some effort into it, it could have been great, and earned them lots of appreciation and BIG money. They should be in the Neil Young song called, " piece of crap"
We have held the line together fandom. Keep watch upon the wokeness, but conserve your strength for I feel we will need to muster sooner rather than later.
I believe you are right Brian. We have to keep a weather eye on the horizon for their shenanigans and stay strong so we can all step up and stand tall again. And with all the amazing people like you my friend we will win again! Thank you for your comment. A good warning to take to heart. Cheers!!
Dear George, The great thing about these 'behind the scenes' shows is that they confirm the total disconnection between the 'creatives' claims and reality. The assertion of 'no Harfoot left behind' when it was a major plot point, reminded me of the clip from the She-Hulk documentary where one of their writers said she didn't know Daredevil was blind. The one positive thing coming out of this weaponised hubris is that it gives truly creative people like you, the Drinker, and the FNT crew material to produce truly entertaining reviews. Onwards and Upwards, Frank.
Damn! I must have missed that Frank. The writers of She-Hulk said they didn’t know Daredevil was blind. WoW! Every time I think they cannot to any lower these studios do precisely that. I always hear them say they don’t want to hire writers who are fans of the material but you’d think they have a working knowledge of the characters primary storyline and powers. But then I look at Amazon’s Rungs and realize even those who proclaim to the world that they know the writings inside and out and are the greatest fans on the planet are either completely deceiving the audience or themselves. Many thanks for sharing that my friend. Always love to learn something new. And again, you are spot on. Everything they corrupt only provides that many opportunities for Drinker, AZ, Nerdrotic and so many brilliant others to inform and entertain us. Wishing you a great week!! Always Forward!! 😊
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer Dear George, I think it was Disparu's review where they revealed so much of their ignorance of the lore of both She-Hulk and Daredevil. As he said, the review was actually more entertaining than the show, because it demonstrated that they actually worked quite hard to make it awful. Frank.
Many thanks k b for those kind and supportive words. Greatly appreciate it my friend. Glad the video spoke to you. Have a goodnight and a great week! Cheers!!
Releasing behind the scenes footage as well as recipies with Middle-Earth sounding names on them smacks of desperation to me. The show failed hard, even with Amazon's marketing push to get people to watch the last two episodes, and the only way they can keep the name in the public conciousness is to keep throwing out ancillery content. Even paid articles seem to have dried up quicker than a cup of water in the cracks of Mt Doom.
Unless proven otherwise, I'm convinced the showrunners already had a really bad "original fantasy series" in a drawer somewhere. And when offered to pitch TRoP to Amazon, they dusted theirs off, replaced a bunch of names with Tolkien or Tolkien-esque ones, and submitted it as is.
That they do x Meta x. They believe that we are peasants who simply are beneath their intellect and understanding. The reality is these two show-runners do not have the foggiest idea about Tolkien or his beloved Legendarium. If they have actually read it then it’s obvious they do not understand the writings. Have an outstanding week!!
As a low tier Tolkien fan this makes me happy. What I mean by low tier is I enjoy reading the Hobbit every few years, have read LOTR twice and never finished the Simirellion (sp). I do enjoy the movies even with the changes that were pointed out to me by those in the know. Despite not being a huge fan I find it sad that companies can crap all over the IP and take a bigger dump on the fans who call them out.
Hopefully this is the kick in the face these big companies need to realise that they can’t just throw endless money at a franchise and everything will be ok. And to fans of an IP to not back down when their favourite things are being exploited. Hope you had a great weekend, George
Thanks CJ. I had a great weekend. Been working on a few videos and getting ready for Christmas. Hope yours was fantastic! Again, you are absolutely spot on - whether it’s Tolkien or any franchise fans love step up and stand tall. Never back down. The Fellowship proved that being United all over the world and getting the facts out there delivered one heck of a knock out to Rings. Exposing it for what it is. Trash. The difference with the hobbit movies (which were not good) and ROP (which are atrocious) is that the hobbit movies were not an insult to Tolkien's legacy.
Those dishes looked like something you'd find in a high class, top-dollar restaurant that charges $80+/plate, not something you'd find in a hobbit's stewpot, or a dwarven hearth.
Absolutely whiterabbit75. There are so many great cookbooks and recipes based on Tolkien’s Legendarium that properly relay what each culture and race ate which also sound yummy. What Amazon again shows how disconnected they are from the mythology and how arrogant they are to come across as elite to the other Hollywood studios. Thank you for sharing. Greetings to you Marco B! Great to see you here. And you are absolutely correct. The Fellowship United together as one voice around the world and said no! For that is a truly beautiful thing to see. All of us who respect, honor and love the Professor’s mythological masterpiece have been able not only to stand together but to share our experiences about Arda. Truly magnificent my friend. Thank you for pointing that out. Wishing you an incredible week!! 😊
You're overthinking: the show ruiners obiously just wanted to patch together scenes from other movies, mostly P. Jackson's; they had sweet memories of dragons flying, good acting, fantastic costumes and armor, language they didn't understand, dialogues - they really should have looked up that word - and LotR in book and movie was a perfect source of all that, so they actually loved Mr. T ... as a source for such snippets.
As you said he would have been tied to some length of contract > than 1 season , that he left should not be taken as a win for "our" team, there maybe more to it , that may lead to such crowing eating humble pie.
The only things I’ve ever seen for “rings of Amazon” as European Lore says, are the videos of the fellowship. I was excited when it was first mentioned then I found out what they had then I herd Gary and Az and it died and remains dead.

They had 3000 years worth of source material.. And that's only the 3rd Age.. Then they had 2nd age AND the 1st Age!! That itself would have spanned more than 10 seasons(with each season containing 52 episodes and each episode timing an hour long!!).. And yet they failed to capitalise on it! Worse.. They insulted the lore!! Epic fail!!
There are many franchises that companies can mess with and the fans will grumble a bit, but they will still go see it. They will still buy the lunchbox. However, Amazon f---ked around with Tolkien's fans and... Oh boy did they find out.
Dod they indeed. If only we could get all the other fandoms to follow suit and hold the line. That would be glorious! Thanks Palanthis. Always Forward!!

It’s one of the worst TV shows I’ve ever seen.
Haven't watched a single minute.
My advice is to keep it that way. Stay away from it! But by all means watch videos of creatives who gave up their time and sanity to review the show.
It's written like a 13 year old girls fan fiction made for 8th grade English class.
Except I feel an 8th grader would have put more thought into theirs
Harfoots roasting on an open fire. That really gets me in a holiday frame of mind.
Never watched a single minute of it but when I saw what they were saying about LOTR fans and preventing them reviewing their show I deleted my Amazon account of 20+ years.
I deleted my Prime when the show came out and haven't made a purchase on Amazon since.
They don't get my money anymore
Bravo you you Jonathan B! That is simply brilliant. So many people have been canceling like crazy for how prime perverted the Legendarium and how low they sunk to disrespect Tolkien. And then they thought they could treat fans like trash. It’s definitely been a rude awakening for Amazon. Thank you again for standing tall. Wishing you a phenomenal week! Always Forward!! 😊
i deleted my account too lol fuck em
Uncle Benjen (Adar) quit the series, because being north of the Wall, is better than being in another season of RoP.. Bravo, Joseph Mawle.. 👏
They are trying so hard to impress the "phantom audience" that don't exist
Bullseye!! You hit that smack in the center B.C. aka The New Dark Eclipse! Cheers!!
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer Grazie😎🙏
The audience they are trying to impress determine their ESG score.
I cringed so hard when watching the Rings of Power someone said i looked like i was having a stoke
Po Ta To
Tolkien expressed a liking for simple English fare, and none of that French rubbish, specifically, in his letters.
I have forgotten more lore than RoP had in the entire series
Po tay toe
Ah! Alas for poor Mim and his son's tragic death! Truly a sad tale.
Bingo! 😊
Thanks, George, for the awesome job you did holding the line for Tolkien's legacy and his countless fans.
Always David! You can count on that. No shilling here at any price for anything. Tolkien gifted the world a mythological masterpiece and it will always be honored , respected and defended here. Thank you for the kind words my friend. Cheers!!
meh this guy only wants viewers to feed with hatred. its easy to make a video talking shit about ideas and things you dont really know.
Bernard Hill: (drops tactical nuke on ROP) In the mighty company of my forefathers, I will feel no shame.
Goodness, when I saw the title, I dreaded that the first ingredient in the Harfoot recipe would be "Harfoot."
"Nobody eats alone."
Great video, and thank you for constantly encouraging this amazing fandom to fight back! Tolkien forever!
You are not alone there Drones Club High Jinks. When I discovered it I was dreading to read the actual recipe. Thinking they couldn’t be that idiotic and gross to put actual Harfoot as an ingredient. So, I thought I would pass on that same experience I felt when reading about it in the thumbnail. Thank you my friend for always being sharing your insight and for the tremendous support. Tolkien Forever! Always Forward!! 😊
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer I thought it might be a recipe for Trolls. After all they like a small snack.

Thank you kind Sir. You stand as an inspiration. We will all prosper in good time, as far as entertainment is concerned.

Post-Season finale promotion: $10 million
Buying the rights to the Appendix: £250 million
Producing the show: $1 *BILLION*
The look of pure joy and satisfaction on George's face knowing this whole stain on Tolkien has gone bust: utter priceless!!
Stand tall, stay strong, and never back down George. We are indeed winning.
Awesome! Love this Lateral Twitler. Having the entire Fellowship step up and stand tall against Prime’s abomination has been a joy to behold. They though the Fellowship were like all other fandoms that people would complain a little bit and then watch the series. Amazon ran right into a full charge of Rohirrim. Many thanks and much appreciation to you my friend for what you wrote. It’s priceless. Wishing you a magnificent week!! Always Forward!! 😊
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer Thank you, George
Adar was actually the best actor in the series I thought.
Same, never watched a single episode, and never plan to.
Our Rib Tip Specials are even bigger than our will to leave a n***a behind!
WoW! Didn’t think it would go on internally as well. Hammer of Science I thought the propaganda was primarily reserved for the public. Many, many thanks for sharing that. Have a good one!
Long live the Fellowship!!
Stay Strong!! Thank you for keeping us informed with your entertaining videos!! Keep entertaining us with the latest!!
It is always great to see you here Greeklight. Appreciate your fighting spirit and encouraging words. Have a good one!!
GEORGE, great Analysis! You are SPOT ON about Andor. It was great, but timing is what hurt it.
I could probably find more authentic Middle Earth recipes on Pinterest. Though, that's probably where Amazon found theirs.
Lol! That disclaimer for Bozo is pure gold.
Keep the content coming George!
6:50 "No harfoot left behind" until they're Cancelled for not following GroupThink
There is no other fandom like The Fellowship of Tolkien. Stout hearts all.
I absolutely love George's spot on insight.
Lotro has the best lord of the rings themed recipes. Nothing like a complete hobbit breakfast
After the “super fans” shenanigans, I knew exactly what we were in for. I hate being right all the time.
No WAY! ADAR WALKED AWAY ?!?! I didn’t know that, he was the best character out of season 1 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s not saying much
Adar's actor was actually alright. That said, I think the screenwriters created Adar as a stencil of Brad Dourif's portrayal of Grima Wormtongue, and somehow the actor managed to pull that off to his credit!
Yeah, him a Durin. You could really tell the actors were trying.
Check out SirBookSage ROP playlist: his ROP related content there is great. Each of his episodes from before during and post mortem of the series was amazing and ontop of that his lore stuff and how he explained it all putting much into perspective is just amazingness
I just found out about it thanks to this video as well.
When I saw the title I thought: "Oh so those are the Hobbits who couldn't get out of their houses quick enough when the bald lady set them on fire."
Fried chicken and collard greens.
*Walks out*
Any actor that got enough exposure to show they had the credentials to go elsewhere immediately would
Thank you George, you get just as much interaction as they do with way less subscribers LOL Keep being you, keep being authentic.
Thanks Truth Seeker for saying that. Greatly appreciate it. No worries on that front my friend. Only way I know how to live is just being me. Wishing you an outstanding week!!
All hail Bernard, the Based! 🛡️ ⚔️ 🐎
I had a far better idea than watching ROP.
I bought The Fall of Numenor instead.
The real story in the Professor's words.
Just wonderful.
This is like the easiest battle... all we have to do to win is not give our money to the evil giant...
Still haven’t touched this show. I bought the leather Tolkien books and couldn’t be happier.
The food at Bag End in Peter Jackson's version looks and I bet tastes Way better than Jeffery's.
It's well deserved for Amazon's Rings of the Recycled Gumball Machine! 😂
GEORGE!
Love the Disclaimer in the opening credits! lol Nicely done, George. #respectthelore #protectwhatyoulove #votewithyourwallet #GEORGE!!
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer Same to you my friend I always enjoy your content.
King Theodon answers the call once again!
Long live the King! 🙏
Cheers!!

Thank you George and God Bless you Sir 🙏
Show Runners: “S2 will be faithful to the lore. Watch it.”
Me: “Fool me once (S1), shame on you. Fool me twice (S2), shame on me. I’ll pass on S2.”
They're like that girl you dump after she cheats on you that tries to come back like "but babe we can still be fwb can't we?"
No, we're done, Amazon.
RofP make the Hobbit ten times better.
I feel pretty good having defeated a giant megacorp just by not watching offensively disrespectful TV.
any harfoot recipe must include harfoot meat
Dear George,
The great thing about these 'behind the scenes' shows is that they confirm the total disconnection between the 'creatives' claims and reality.
Onwards and Upwards,
Frank.
@@GeorgeTheGiantSlayer Dear George,
I think it was Disparu's review where they revealed so much of their ignorance of the lore of both She-Hulk and Daredevil. As he said, the review was actually more entertaining than the show, because it demonstrated that they actually worked quite hard to make it awful.
Frank.
Your writing is succinct, hilarious, and truly incisive
Many thanks k b for those kind and supportive words. Greatly appreciate it my friend. Glad the video spoke to you. Have a goodnight and a great week! Cheers!!
Hail to the fellowship. You guys are awesome
Indeed they are! The Fellowship is the most amazing fandom in the world. Love them all! All Hail to the Fellowship!!
The "show-runners" _actually_ think they're brilliant and their genius is wasted on us lol
Trash. Wishing you a phenomenal week! Always Forward!! 😊
..Tolkien Lore is sacred...Grimma Bezos has no power...Galadriels Mirror showed us all this 2 yrs ago...
The difference with the hobbit movies (which were not good) and ROP (which are atrocious) is that the hobbit movies were not an insult to Tolkien's legacy.
Now we know the real reason Theodan wouldn't let Merry fight in the war, he shilled for amazon.
Have a phenomenal weekend!!
Rings of Power is NOT Tolkien! I will never watch this garbage.
Great video from an intelligent and sympathetic man. Keep up the good work, my friend.
Keep the faith, stay the course, and keep exposing the shills, corporate mindset, and the defiler's hubris!
Scott! So great to see you my friend. Really appreciate all your incredible support. Be assured I will keep the spotlight on them and keep calling them to task. Hope this finds you well. Have a wonderful week!! Always Forward!!
Hail, George!! Thanks for another outstanding video. I've not watched any of RoP, not one minute of it. It absolutely staggers the mind how AWFUL this was. I expected woke buggery, but the actual sheer INCOMPETENCE of this production blows me away.
Enjoyed every second of this video. Well done!
Btw, I imagine the diet of Middle-Earth would be similar to what was eaten in the Middle Ages.
Great call BrickGarden! I’m sure that is exactly what they ate. Thrilled you enjoyed the video. Thank you for your kind words. Wishing you an incredible week!! 😊
Thanks George, for your clever contents. I'm glad that we, the true Prof. Tolkien fans, together have formed a real "legion", able to shake even Amazon. Greetings from Italy, as always. :)
It brings me such delight to see RoP fail.
They're nothing but pawns on a chessboard
I think Amazon DOES love Tolkien. If by Tolkien, you mean money.
Amazon goes down. Do you know how much people left Amazon Prime? Nearly 10% Worldwide after RoP disaster.
European Lore, Gary and Az are phenomenal! And they were absolutely right on the money about Rings. Amazon did one thing good. It produced such a perversion that they United the entire global Fellowship. Appreciate your commentary Irish Not Sane. Have a great week!!
So, there are some few actors left who take pride in their profession.
Good for them. Don´t bend the knee! ;)
G4 showed us what to expect when a company hates on its fans. G4 is Amazon's future as a media company. Burnet to the ground in the woke fire of ignorance.
"How the Numenorians trained for their roles?" They have trained for anything !? Could not have guessed in milion years :D
Keep slaying them George
I have not and I will never watch that series
Hail George!! Wow, no notification for any of your last few videos. Looks like I got things to enjoy today.
I saw then bought all the movies, own collector edition Tolkein books, and even read most of his books about the Tolkein world... d idnt bother even watching one episode of this crap.
How are you George? It's always an epic day with a video from the Giantslayer.
Elise, so good to see you my dear friend. Doing great. Just working and researching some material for new videos. And organizing my first live stream hopefully for next week. How are you? Hope all is well. Always greatly appreciate your kind words and inspiring support. Thank you! Wishing you and yours a beautiful week!! Always Forward!! 😊
Let's not forget that RoP falsely inflated the finale numbers by that timely commercial that caused viewers to reopen Prime to count as a second view.
It didn't feel like much of a fight, as the only action required was not watching crap.
A rings of power recipe book? That's a stretch 🤭😒
Hell yeah! Great video! Never bend the knee. Don’t feed me BS and tell me it’s steak. This Rings of Bullshit has to stop. Pissing on Tolkien’s grave is blasphemy.
Do they have Denethor's tomatoes in the recipe book?
🤣🤣🤣
