    The matte black 442 was my first gun, 3 months ago. I wanted to pretty it up a bit and added some Altamont rosewood grips. I have a Mika pocket holster and a tuckable IWB as well as OWB, both from 1791 Gunleather. My go to is the IWB. I'll go to OWB if I have a jacket or hoodie on. It's my EDC after getting my CCP here in SC. I hardly know its there and feel more confident in everyday situations as a new gun owner.

    2 questions: which extended slide release is that? And which JHP are you running that feed reliably for you? I need a bigger release because my grip is causing a failure to lock back on the stock release. Also the only JHP I’ve had without feed issues is Critical Defense but I’d prefer something with better performance. Love the 42 otherwise, tried a 43 and 43X and wanted to make them work so I could keep everything 9mm with my 19, they just didn’t work for me.

    I got one and loved it. Lost it at work. Got another. Then went to get a backup…Went to Amazon to get it… came in a plain white box. Knew immediately it was knock-off when I saw box. (It comes in a clear plastic pack that has Streamlight Logo on real one.) Sent it back. Went to Bass Pro and got another one. Just picked up one for my wife again yesterday.

    I use the Safariland comp-3 long loaders. Best for fast reloads for competition shooting. Instead of flipping the speed loader onto a table. Try this method. Load the speed loader as usual. I am right handed so switch the hands for lefties. Locate the area of the just under the index finger. This area is a harder than other areas of the palm. Put the cartridges in the loader on this part of the palm. Then you can press down the locking knob much quicker.

    My every day carry is a Glock 42 with Trijicon HD XR Night Sights and a 9 round ETS magazine fitted with an XGRIP for a full three-finger grip. I load the magazine with 8 rounds maximum, plus one in the chamber, to ensure 100% reliability. Ammo of choice is Underwood Extreme Penetrator 380+P. This combination has very little recoil, is very controllable and EXTREMELY accurate! I carry it 24/7 in a pocket holster and honestly it's so light and compact that I forget it's there. The best self-defense pistol is the one you never leave home without!

    nice review! I have an LCP2 and I wish I had gotten the LCR instead. I have sent it back to ruger twice now, I like that they are willing to do work on them but I'm still having issues across multiple ammo types (CCI mini mag target, federal punch, CCI stinger, ...). Lots of premature slide lockbacks across the board and the stingers fail to feed a lot. I'm getting a ~20% failure rate which is pretty bad, might send it to ruger again.

    I really like the 1L-1AA. Even though I couldn’t care about the multi-fuel. I like the idea of it. But I agree with you, just use a CR 123 in it. I don’t care for dual fuel because any light made for alkaline, alkalines are so poor in performance that I see no need for compatibility with them. My problem is the build quality. It just……feels cheap. Especially the short tail cap threads. Oh, and the Surefire uses a tir. I’ve gotten to the point now, where I’m really only interested in lights that use an optic. I just like the beam so much more than a reflector.

    I've carried mine religiously since the first time I seen one in the dealer's case. Crappy sights? Who cares? Practice enough that you don't need them in the first place. Draw and fire 2 or maybe 3 hits in a torso size plate is more than adequate accuracy at 21 feet. Beyond that it's probably not a defensive shooting to begin with so don't do it. Adjustable sites are great for target shooting but they're Is absolutely inappropriate for a carry gun. Even a slight jar such as an inverted smack with your car door can usually knock them out Of alignment and you will never know it until you go back to the range. I only fire Very light reloads for practice but I do it a lot. For actual defense I carry federal hydroshock plus p jacketted hollowpoints. The only 10 of these that I have fired through this revolver are truly wicked with recoil, However I guarantee if you ever have to shoot those in an actual defense shooting you'll never realize the difference. The adrenaline and the muscle memory will do all the work for you. I hate the crappy little bitty It's stocks that come with those things so I've put the large Smith and wesson j frame rosewood Combat grips on mine and no one has ever noticed that I'm carrying. Even my Family and close friends have always been surprised when they finally find out they've never seen me without mine and never realized I was carrying a firearm. I routinely carry in an inside the pants holster, but when the situation calls for it I have had to switch to an ankle holster. With this revolver it is so comfortable you almost forget you're wearing it and I find myself often putting my hand in place to make sure I still have it. It's no problem to carry it even around the property when I have to be away from the house doing chores like cutting wood and splitting. And extremely inexpensive compared other possible carry choices. Even bought one for my wife and my sister as well. If 5 shots isn't enough you've probably gone someplace you shouldn't, However you can get really good speed loaders that work even with the big rosewood grip. It's the perfect carry firearm but the key to remember is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. And then once you've gotten proficient enough to stake your life on this pistol, then practice some more. Just please be responsible and remember it's a carry for self-protection only, not so that you can be the hero in that grocery store robbery..... etc

      @HamreForge 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bmaxse We have customers using these on 9mm, .38, .327, and .357. I guess a lot has to do with the shooter and the load. It's really hard to say though, because any grip on a 22 is going to be easier to shoot than the same grip on a larger caliber.
