He got bored of standard so he started with legacy. Played legacy for last 6 months. Love this guy and this tells you a LOT about what formats are really good in mtg and what formats are forced upon our throaths.
You are not wrong but remember that WOTC needs to make a lot of money or the quality of the new cards goes down or they just go out of business. I guess that if the Reserved List didn't exist, they would be able to print "Legacy Master" sets and be able to set more tournaments for it.
Jeremy played very well the whole tournament and then he threw the final away casting that fow pitching leovold knowing daniel had spell pierce in hand. that was such an horrendous play. unexplicable
This allowed him to resolve Toxic Deluge later on. Leovold just trades for a bolt which seems equally bad. The mistake was to not fight over the Sylvan Library which would have allowed him to find the 3rd land for True Name on turn 3 rather than T4 after casting a library manipulation spell. The Sylvan Library would have also prevent him from getting flooded later on.
I think it is to make it easier for his opponent to see what he plays, quicker, he already knows what he’s going to play so I don’t think he feels like he needs to read it again
The card did nothing game 2 and it's because there is wasteland that Dezani got wasteland lock which you then can't blame on the card. I don't see the point of it in a control deck.

Well it is also kinda hard to win by drawing five lands row when opponent is drawing gas :p but that is magic

Why does Daniel keep playing his cards upside down?
A lot of players will keep the cards upside-down in their hands to remind themselves which cards have been revealed to their opponents.
