It is the government's intention to trace the history of the country back to 12,000 years and 'fill the gaps' created by earlier historians who the government feels, may have carried a bias. On the show, we debate whether history can be written without an ideological tilt? Will this attempt to 'rewrite' history by the government, ignore facts while supporting a certain stand point? Should the government get involved in how the history of a country is written or should this be the exclusive mandate of social scientists and academicians? Why did no previous Indian Govts tried to see if Ramayana is a History Book? Take Quran or Bible, they say & historians prove that it is a History Book. They identify places mentioned in the book with the real places in the Geography. Why did it not happen in India. It is an Indian book for gods sake and why did we not find out the truth about it? We have gone back and accepted that Buddha was born here for Buddist scriptures (who believes in Buddha), but when Ram from Ramayana comes into discussion we push it as a Myth. The Hindu culture and its History needs to be looked into. We have the right to know our past - We have Mohenjadaro/Harappa - " a big blank between " - Mouryan Empire - Mughal Empire - British India - Independent India. A fiction book has limited number of characters & places and story is weaven around them in a logical way. History has vast number of characters and places. The workers who built Taj Mahal were both the ancient Indian architects and the imported persian architects. So thus Taj is the mixture of both the Persian and Indian sciences of construction into building it. The objective of Taj is to create/replicate "Heaven's Garden on Earth". For Indian architects it is 'Siva's abode Kailash - presumed to be in Snowy white Himalayas. What are the features of 'Heaven' as per your scriptures? The Architects followed this mixed image and built Taj. It shows both features. It is a Garden and never was a Temple or Masjid. Get it in to your brains.
History should be kept out of ideological biases, whether from left or right. Also no one talked about it being Delhi centric. Too much focus is given to northern India in history while southern India is essentially ignored.

Well we need have history lessons from the south but to be hoenst i don't remember there being history chapters in the North East. So with that perspective and also the state of unimportance of that region, i believe that it's that pativular region that has been ignored the most. But to be honest, you can't include everything into the syllabus. There will be cuts and corners here and there when it comes to setting the syllabus.
Taj Mahal is not a mosque, it is a tomb. And it is one of the most famous point about the Taj and Mughal architecture as a whole that it is an amalgamation of multiple styles.
This is Indian History 101 and that RSS thinker is perhaps not so surprisingly devoid of any knowledge about his own country.
Mughals came from Mongolia. What is their architecture? Samar Khand, Bukhara were buit by the Indians taken as prisoners by Taimur Long, when he invaded India.

1) Let's talk abt the name "Taj Mahal"...I'm damn sure u would say that it is derived from the word Mumtaz mahal......now let me enlighten u.....Mahal is derived from a sanskrit word "Mahalay" ....where "alay" is for "a place" ....like Vidyalay...a place to study, Pratikshalay...a place to wait....Mahalay ..a place to stay.
Now come to "Taj" ....don't think that it is derived from the name Mumtaz 🤣..if it was...then it would be Taz mahal..not Taj mahal...... Now both the words Taj and Mahal has no place in Urdu language.
2) Taj mahal is a 7 storied structure.
And the cenotaphs are kept on 4th floor.....now how's that possible...as per islam, a dead body is burried "2 gaj" deep ....again contradicting islamic sayings.
3) U say that there are masjid on both sides of taj mahal.......now first tell me what is the need of mosque beside a makbara...second....why minarates are on the makbara...not on masjid....from where aazan will be said...from masjid aur from makbara🤨..and on a Masjid there is 1 gumbad denoting Allah....cuz Allah is one....then why there are 3 gumbads on masjid there........dumb islamic architecture.
4) I guess u have visited taj mahal and have observed keenly......there are stairs on entrance which are hiding the designs on the wall.....now was the architecture so DUMB that he forgot to make stairs🤣🤣 and had to make it afterwards hiding the work on the wall...moreover there stairs that goes nowhere...... 3 stairs after which there is a wall...and that ends .....what a stupid architecture......now don't say that they are made to sit and rest🤣🤣...... If it was ...then it would not hide the work on wall behind........jokes apart...now search what was the purpose of making such stairs...what were they trying to hide...
5) U r saying that name Allah is written on its kalash......first tell what is a "Kalash" doing on a islamic tomb. Second under the kalash there are mango leaves...and a coconut is been depicted on top of kalash....does any of these things mean anything in islam worshipping.....or it is portraying Vedic style and manner of worshipping.......and now coming to ur statement......the same structure of that on the gumbad is engraved on the floor inside taj mahal ....there is no name Allah written there.....clearly proving that such name was written afterwards..
6) Now a burail place is always a silent place.....whether Shamshan ghat or Kabristaan....so what A "Music hall" doing beside Taj Mahal.....does it meant for pleasure of dead bodies out there...of mumtaz and Shah Jahan...
7) There is a well inside taj mahal......does it meant to serve water to dead bodies???...ohhh may be in islam, dead bodies need water from time to time.....though the well is empty now.......and also there are certain openings which opens out on each 7 floor.......any reason for this??
8) As per islam every mosque must face Kaba.......but masjids beside taj mahal are facing east and west......😯😯😯😯😯 Such a bullshit and stupid islam architecture work......
9) Ur statement on quran verses.......hope u r not blind......if U'll notice there is a big difference in colour contrast on stone on which quran in engraved and the stones all over the wall......on which Nakkashi is done...clearly indicating that it was put there afterwards......again showing dumb islamic architecture.....

Second, the dead bodies of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are actually kept underground, what you see when you visit the Taj are replicas of the tombs. The actual ones were open earlier, but have now been closed from the public.

Actual historians should've participated in the discussion not the representatives. Almost every1 agrees that past history had colonial/leftist bias but do not provide any ideas on how to make it neutral & objective. That's obvious mate! Farther you go back in time, the lesser and lesser but more and more complexed information you have for average school student to grasp. The content of British history will obviously be more greater than that of mughal, because, it's more recent, and with more documentation and that are still preserved. Mughal history has better documentation than it's preceeding time because, by the time of later mughal period use of paper books had begun, coz paper was only introduced in India during later 7th century( that too coz its mentioned in some Chinese Buddhist memoir and it's not something we directly have/had hold of) , and information of its only extensive use started in 12-13th century(where we have our own substantial proof for its use)
, before that its was mostly palm leaf, or copper plate that was used for writing.
Palm leaf writings were very prone to damages and it was very hard to preserve them, where as the labour used to write on copper plate was tremendous, so the amount of content in them was obviously far lesser as compared to books and paper as they were more easy to produce, write and even preserve.
And of the maurya period, what we find are mostly stone,/pillar inscriptions which are hardly legible for even historians to decode,.
So how much can we teach the students about it?
The farther you go back in time the lesser you are certain of its factual evidence, and harder it is to interpret it.

Now coming on the ancient history I did read Ashoka, Maurya, Chanakya in school and there are reasons because of which we did not have much credible information about ancient history, and the most important reason from them are Brahmins. Brahmins did not write much and focused on oral education because they did not want to other castes should get an education.
