Thanks, that piece started a 4” x 3” x 9.5”. , but I size the blank based on how large the piece is that is going to sit on it so that the proportions look good
Sure, I could have removed some with my bandsaw, but for a project like this it is just as easy for me to just turn away the wood. Either way will give the same result...good comment/observation
Simple and yet effective ~ nice little project
Thanks
Very nice! Great idea!- Mike

Really enjoyed your video! Love the old stand with the light colored bowl. The new stand with the vase is beautiful. Great job!
Thanks, it worked out well this time
Nice one Frank,cheers Colin.

11:59 Man o man. I am really surprised that piece didn't fly apart using the expansion jaws.
Yes, it is a bit scary, but high speed and small smooth cuts is the way to get through it. I have not had one fly off yet 😀
Thanks for the video. Very instructive and creative.
Thanks

Nice build, but I was really impressed by your miter saw's dust collection. Super sucky.
Thanks, ya the saw dust collection seemed to work well that time.
I do not understand why a bandsaw was not used to remove most of the waste!!!
