LENOVO 110S - NO POWER ADAPTER

This Lenovo 110S came to me with no battery, no power adapter, and a motherboard fault. Join me as I try and work through what is wrong with it.

Hello, it makes me happy to like your videos because you deserve it, I would like to know why put the red probe on ground to search for short circuits in diode mode, no one has ever answered this question that I ask myself installation, thanks in advance

I hate that when I pause a TH-cam video, half the screen is covered with widgets, so I can't see the image very well.

Hi Terry, thank you for your comment. There was no grand plan for what to do with the repaired motherboards. Right now I just need to increase my percentage of fixes. Though I did get the great idea of fitting one of the motherboards to my projector to stream live from the internet.

We live in a world of disposable electronic appliances. Even the mobile phone repair shops are going out of business because customers would rather buy a new phone than pay for a repair that may or may not last for long. The OEMs build these devices as cheaply as possible, and create new models every year, making last year's models undesirable. Their market value plummets quickly, creating piles of mostly-working electronics in second-hand and recycling centers.

can you buy laptops etc from recycling centers here in Ireland?

This is not really an option for me. I almost got thrown out of my local recycling centre for looking at a TV that someone else had left there. I think they don't want to be responsible for you taking something from the centre and it possibly blowing up or going on fire.

@@therepairshare673 Same here. Many cities sponsor Spring and Fall cleanup drives. We can bring our old furniture and appliances to the drop-off point, but we are forbidden to take anything left by others there.
