i'm only halfway through but the editing is so good i am sobbing lmfao 😭 also love this layout of the plot - SO much better! and i think Tom could've really done well in this altered storyline. he's an underrated comedic actor and its a shame this movie flopped because i dont think we'll ever see him in a role like this again
Thanks for the kind words! And yes 100% on comedic acting from Cruise. Tropic Thunder stands out in particular as an example. Also yeah this was the end I think for any variation we'll see from him. Sigh.
Wanna try rewriting Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice? Everyone online has a lot of interesting ideas, such as replacing Doomsday with Bizarro, having the crippled Wallace Keefe (Lex's unintentional bomber in Superman's trial) be instead Hank Henshaw who could also survive to become Cyborg Superman down the line, and Robin dying in Gotham City because of Superman's battle with Zod to explain why Batman loses his moral code. Can't any and all work or wanna try your own path?
@@darkamulet5768 I think BvS has enough merit that instead of a full rewrite I’d just recommend a few changes. I’m fine with the overall story which leads into Justice League. That might be a video I do before the end of September (along with man of steel and Wonder Woman, or some other combo of DC movies, we’ll see). If so I’ll definitely credit you as giving me the idea!
You know I hated Dracula Untold more than the 2017 mummy because I really think that he should have killed Sultan more earlier and everyone in his kingdom would turn on him out of fear and that is why he became the monster that he is but I prefer Nicholas Cages Dracula because he was fun and if you going for another Dracula which actor would you prefer Mads Mikkelsen, Sebastian Stan or Daniel Bruhl? So did Ahmanet win here because when is it that a villain should win because I think of Zemo from Civil War deserved to win, Kang from Antman 3, Miles from Onion Glass and the First order in the Last Jedi because the order itself was a complete joke. Remember I said about the 2015 fantastic four movie where they should have used a different villain instead of Dr Doom again because I thought of a lot of villains that could have been better like Moleman, Annihilus or the Mad Thinker but I think there is that hasn’t been getting enough attention that is the Red ghost and the super apes like remember the cgi chimpanzees replace them with that as his original origin is outdated because of the Cold War. Have you seen the movie L.A.Confidential and Batman Returns?
I could not tell you a thing about Dracula Untold other than the bat fist (similar to Morbius' bat Kamehameha, go figure), and the end teaser for a sequel that never went anywhere. Also I'm assuming you're referring to Renfield? I never saw it, was it any good? Yup, Ahmanet wins here. I figure the Dark Universe could/should've been a series of films where the audience was unsure who would come out on top in the end, since a horror staple is the 'bad' ending. That way the stakes are always high and the villains feel scarier. I'm fine with Zemo's ending in Civil War. I think he fragmented the Avengers to such an extent that they were screwed in Infinity War, so he kind of gave Thanos the layup. Kang went out tragic and deserved better. I don't care how technologically evolved those ants are. But we're not gonna see Kang again in any major role, so moot point I guess. Wasn't the thing with Miles that he was a dummy who didn't really have much individual merit? My memory on that movie is fuzzy. First Order was indeed a joke from start to finish. Poor villains imo, Kylo & Hux doubly so. For Fan4stic I agree, I think Dr. Doom should be a sequel villain, not the first. If it were up to me I'd stick with the Negative Zone and rework Fin Fang Foom into an eldritch abomination type dragon, but I dunno if that'd work with budgeting. Might do a rewrite one day, and if so I'd decide then. I think Moleman could be a side villain, Annihilus might be more of a multi-hero villain just due to the scope of his army. Never read anything about the red ghost or mad thinker though, so can't comment on them. Never seen L.A Confidential! Batman Returns I watched as a kid, but I remember 0.00% of it.
As much as I love your rewrite I feel you made Tom cruise too unlikable which I understand is the point. But without likability qualities why would the audience care about the character succeeding or not , or there’s no attachment. Remember there’s a different between a likability character and a flawed character.
Thanks for the comment! A lot of the perception of Tom's character would have to rely on his performance; I don't necessarily think a smarmy character is doomed to be hated by the audience. My idea for him being a jerk-loser was actually based on his performance in Tropic Thunder. He plays a similarly trashy character, but is still 'liked' by the audience as a form of entertainment instead of endearment. Kinda like the cast of It's Always Sunny. In terms of caring about success, I think that care would be taken on by Jake and Anna, who are on Tom's team. The audience might not root for Tom, but Jake's good nature and Anna's 'just'-ish cause would be the core the audience can cling to. Hopefully.
@@clownypoundy6834 No worries! Since this is all basically fan fic there's no perfect way to express performances, so some stuff can easily get lost in translation.

Wow. This was actually much better
Thanks! I still wish for a version free of Tom Cruise, but alas.

Got somewhere we could chat more easily like Discord?
Unfortunately not at the moment. Might make one one day! Currently I'm not very social media heavy haha.
@@Realmspinner I just like talking to you.
