You should have bought new rotors as well. Upgraded ones even. The uneven wear in the rotors is why you have to squeeze the lever so hard now and the pad wear is now stepped and uneven. Buy new rotors with pads next time and you’ll be surprised by the difference in stopping power…. when the pad is wearing squared and even against the rotor.
How much stronger is the braking vs stock, and would you recommend a long lever? Could you still 1-2 finger brake on a long lever with this setup without crushing your other fingers?
Long vs short lever is personal preference. Lever stroke is much shorter with the brembo claiper so i would think you'd be able to double finger the brake without coming into contact with the fingers on the throttle. But i dont have experience with this setup so you'd have to experiment. Brake performance is much much better, i couldn't quantify it for you because i haven't done any testing. Hardracing, did do testing however, here's the link: www.hondagrom.net/forums/7-grom-talk/2579-upgrading-brakes-front-rear-comparison-review-writeup-installation-videos.html
