I would offer up Lex as a possibility. In both of his seasons, if I remember correctly, he starts out smart, athletic, well-liked, and then deteriorates into paranoia and pettiness.
This is true. I did an in depth video about Lex and he goes completely heel after T-Bird votes for him.

Jerri Manthey did the exact opposite over her three season arc. Started off as one of the greatest villains in S2 and walked away as a hero in S20 despite being on the villains tribe. She’d probably be in the heroes tribe if she was on HvV2.

Parvati is another one who started as a villain but sort of became a hero in WaW
I've felt the same for some time. By the end of season 20 you were rooting for her to go to the finale because one knew she'd win. I think her redemption arc over three seasons is fantastic!
Jerri is the next player I would like to see enter the 4 timer club.

Carl from DvG is another one. Went from trying to overcome the numbers disadvantage to his Davids tribe to getting drunk on power trying to call all the shots once his tribe are in the majority
Was that really a heel turn or just arrogance and bad game play? I think Carl just got arrogant, these players in this video were shown to be villainous as a personality trait, I feel like Carl was just sort of arrogant for a bit?

Tom Gresis arrogance is usually the #1 thing about a villainous edit. carl definitely got the villain edit for a good two episodes, especially since he was trying to go after the heroes at the time, christian and gabby

O M V R doesn’t really matter from an edit perspective. just because someone cries doesn’t make them a hero or villain, she was played up as an underdog from the beginning
Chrissy should be on Heroes vs Villains 2 but on the Villains tribe. Could be funny because she was originally a hero and now she's a villain.
Jane hated Marty because Marty always accused her of being a jury threat. At the merge, Marty was desperate because he was a strategic mastermind/target, so he proposed to get rid of Jane first since she is so genuine. Marty started it, but both of them took it way too far and personal.
Jane was just a bitter, hateful old hag.

Freaking loved Chrissy. On the other hand, Jane's fan favorite win was so undeserved. She was a total b to people in Ponderosa. One of the most bitter people to ever play. Her attitude was repulsive.

dembonez19 Holly, Chase, and Sash royally screwed her over. How do you expect her to be nice? She was actually forgiving of Chase so it’s not like she was evil, she was clearly hurt by their betrayal.
dembonez19 and I love Holly but the edit was setting Jane up as the fan favorite, she was basically the Rupert of the season (though that may not say much given Rupert’s reputation has suffered now lol but you get what I mean) in opposition to Marty as the villain
Tai had no backbone. He went with anyone who approached him with a plan which is why no one trusted him at the end and said he was disloyal. I also think the language barrier hurt him a lot because he couldn't express himself and his thoughts as clearly as others.

I don't think Chrissy was ever a hero she just showed her true colors.
I’m glad someone else noticed that too. She was nasty all season long and stopped trying to hide it halfway through the season. People really seem to think that she should’ve beaten Ben but nobody likes to talk about the fact that the jury absolutely hated her guts
i actually think she had an issue with the women .. she took out roark ali jessica and desi all back to back which still pisses me off to this day

@@mrjollyguy25 he as a person is a big nerd. Smash gave him his confidence he was called by many the king of smash. He was incredibly cocky, and deservedly so. In survivor he was a timid kid til he felt like he got power and he was cocky and overplayed.

David in MvGX is the one that comes to mind most since, if I remember correctly, he was made to seem overly paranoid in the early episodes but became one of the strongest people towards the end.

I think Kenny's biggest problem was that he was in the "Golden Age" of Survivor, where they had too many good options to pick from his era.
Would love to see Kenny back though, especially now that he's older and wouldn't be as cocky (despite that heel turn being what I liked about him)

@@melonmanwill Nice. I have watched most of those seasons numerous times, myself. My first season was actually Samoa, which came right at the tail end of that, so I had a lot of awesome stuff to catch up on back in the day. Now I'm actually watching through all the seasons with my girlfriend who hasn't seen any of them and it has been a blast. We're only on The Amazon right now, so I still have all of the golden age to look forward to.
If you get around to multiple season arcs please include Rupert and James. They were full-blown villains by the time they got eliminated on HvV.

@@lavoshakern I agree with that sentiment now, but viewers in the early days of Survivor did not. Even if Dreamz isn't a villain in my books, I can see how viewers saw him have a heel turn to be one. Dreamz came in wanting to be a good role model and by the last episodes it seemed like he was only out for himself. Which is fine, and works well, until you are trying to be a hero character. Players like Colby, Rupert, or Woo were perceived as heroes because they basically sacrificed their games to take the "moral high ground". Dreamz situation was different, but for him to have kept a hero edit he would have needed to do the same--give up the immunity and keep his word. It was not a fair situation

This is genuinely a phenomenal idea for a video because it’s something I find in most seasons I watch of Survivor and it even happens on a rewatch too which I find odd lol

How could not include James in Heroes vs. Villains? That dude turned into a straight-up asshole during that season and Jerri went from villain to hero.
I'm guessing because James didn't last very long. I don't recall the exact order of eliminations, but he didn't even make it to the merge, right?
James was always an asshole, as Courtney said in HvsV. I don't understand why it took so long to people to see it.
@@LeoLeoLeo12P he was definitely not portrayed as an asshole in his first season, I loved him and he came across as pretty humble. He was potentially framed this way by producers with them ignoring the negative of course. But yes when he came back that final time I was quickly turned off by him and so mad at how nasty and disrespectful he was. I don't want him to come back again

Perhaps some could see that in him but they certainly didn't portray him openly till his final season cause Jeff even called him out for ah behavior that time

Brad Culpepper in Game-Changers is missing. He starts out as a really likable dude with unexpected interests like antiquing. He's playing for Monica, as he says nearly every confessional.
But then he starts to get arrogant. He goes on an immunity streak. He starts playing with Scorched Earth strategies. And you might have noticed, but all his comments end up being about him winning and beating the others, not about Monica. Ken gets the phrase "Walter White edit" thrown around a lot but Brad has him beat as far as that goes imo.
He said he was only going to include original seasons.
Knowing how Ken was in the melee scene I wasn’t surprised watching his season live and how hard he heel turned, he’s still great though
Marty blindsided Jane and Holly before the swap, and Jimmy T calling him preppy and pretentious really showed why Jane hated Marty. Marty was the villain, and the editors made every effort to make Marty a villain and Jane his opposition. I don't see this as a heel turn, but pretty on point edit wise.

Sarah started out as a hero, then became a sort of a villian. She did backstab people, but that's just the game. She played with a unique mix of integrity and and lying. Like of you love watching Sarah!
Wild Card Watson I do think Sarah is a good player, but I did find her preseason cockiness off-putting. Not to mention, Kass said all of those about gender in Cagayan, so...
Yeah that took a couple seasons to come to fruition. Same with James turning into a total D-Bag over the course of three seasons.

I don't think Tai should get hate for not using the Super Idol. It was a smart move. If he would have used it on Scott, he would have been voted out next since there would have been a tie with him and someone else. He was also on the minority alliance at the time. Plus, a Super Idol is only good if you are on your own and/or if you or your alliance member is not on the chopping block.

I think the reason Tai was aligned with Villains in both of his seasons was they saw him as an easy beat at Final Tribal. He showed them he wasn't.

Can you talk about what could happen (theories) in situations like:
* everyone is immune at tribal (idol, necklace, legacy) not by deadlock
* A 1-1-1-1-etc tie during the pre-merge
* A three way tie at the final Three (FTC)
*A 4-4 tie at the FTC in Micronesia
* And other weird situation

I don’t think a 3 way FTC tie will ever be possible, and same with everyone having immunity at once

Wow in survivor sometimes if you get voted out early you stay a hero like Kenny or you live long enough to become the villain Darth kenny.
Dawn should be on this list. At the beginning of Caramoan, she was portrayed as this amazing person. But towards the end of the game she did some despicable things. But her worst was when Brenda was so nice to her. She jumped and retrieved Dawn’s denchers when she dropped them in the lake, she even gave up immunity so Dawn would have a win. Dawn evily backstabbed her by voting her off the same tribal council she gave up the immunity. That’s why Dawn deserves to be on this list.

I just watched that very episode of San Juan Del Sur right before this video.
A lot of super fans know how the rest of the cast felt about Jane in postgame interviews and discussions and all the controversies with her not shown on TV and that makes the super fans see her as a villain while the casual fans all loved Jane.

Ok I know this is a few months late but: Even though Kenny got super cocky, I still couldn’t have seen him as a villain. I really want to see him back, and he would hopefully play a perfect game, seeing how cocky he was in Gabon. Kenny would fit perfectly in a second chance season.
Edit: I would like to believe that Kenny would have been on HvV if he hadn’t gotten cocky

Big Brother does a great job at showing Heel Turns, because you definitely see more of people's true sides come out and it isn't pretty
Yea well Big Brother is airing as it’s being taped so the editors don’t know who’s gonna be the winner or who’s gonna make it deep. They aren’t crafting a narrative from the start that’s based on the end result.
On that same token, if a fan favourite suddenly starts acting really nasty, it’s just as much of a shock to production as it is to the viewers and they just portray what’s happening in real time

Wild Card Watson Ok but BB production would have no way of knowing Josh would beat Paul. Because Big Brother evictions air live. Josh only won by a single vote so it’s not like it was even a slam dunk. Any hinting that Josh might win was probably just the editors trying to keep things interesting, but in reality they never knew anything for sure
