      True but I also think a lot of the woman that try to play like Parvati play way too hard from the start. Parvati on Cook Islands was more like Michele and Michele won the whole game. Parvati didn't really turn into "PARVATI" until after the Ozzy vote. She did get a tad drunk on her power but at that point she was in complete control of everything in that game so there was nothing that anyone could do about it.

      It was different though back in season 20. She wasn't very well liked, and they all wanted to expose her as a bad winner and what they did was wake up a beast that took them all out. In season 40 she was seen as a legend and since she was also a mom, she was seen differently than she usually is. Also, the game had changed in season 20 Parvati was seen as one of the most ruthless players that have played the game. While in season 40 you could argue Parvati is one of the most loyal. Michele would be casted as a Hero in a new Heros vs Villains season, but you could argue that Michele is more ruthless in certain ways.

    I'm curious if Joe and Aubry from Edge of Extinction should be on here. That season is the nail in the coffin that the cast of Guatemala wishes they could've driven because there was no way in hell they were letting returning players take their screen time, but was it the fault of Joe and Aubry for their reputations, or rather their luck of the draw to be placed on the intensely anti-returnee Kama tribe?

    • @roger_towny_jr
      @roger_towny_jr ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Joe was always going to be a target as soon as the merge hit reguardless.
      Aubry, after finishing 2 deep runs only two years prior, was absolutely dead in the water. Even if the swap worked out better for her. Even if she did play her idol. Even if she started on Manu instead of Kama, I honestly don't think she stood a chance with this cast.
      Which is a shame, cause all her pregame press showed that she was genuinely acknowledging her mistakes from her first two games and wanted to better herself. I can imagine it's hard to say no when Survivor asks you to play again, but in hindsight, it probably would have been better to call a raincheck and wait a couple years for her notoriety to die down a bit, and for another all returnees season instead of captains (still waiting on Survivor Runner-Up's Roundhouse).

Malcolm and Ozzy and Cirie also had big targets in Gamechangers, Cirie lasted but she woulda been a first boot if they hadn't swapped at 18 saving her from a tribal trip. Malcolm was taken out OVER SANDRA as the obvious target in that 2 tribe joint council where JT ruined everything. Then Ozzy went the minute the merge started. 1st season, they each had a big chance at winning the game due to their status as underdogs (Starting off on Tribes that lost the first 4 challenges before making a comeback), they each are one of the top 5 voted out.
    2nd Season, they do quite well, but end up in the minority after the merge and are eventually one of the final ten voted out.
    3rd season, they both get eliminated very early in the game.

Probably near the bottom of the list, it's true, but she was considered to have played a winner-caliber game by most of the players (including Sandra), on a season where winners or perceived winners were targeted as "too big of a threat", which is fairly impressive, especially as she didn't actually win. Parvati only backstabbed Ozzy and Russell only backstabbed Danielle (which Parvati was pissed about).

      From what I saw it was Kim and the way Kim had to grovel just so someone would talk to her sort of showed that. Although I do think Sarah was up there with Kim as a threat. I think that is why Parvati's threat level wasn't as big in WAW as it was in Heros vs Villains. Compared to Kim and Sarah, Parvati is extremely loyal and trustworthy. I think Parvati is a better strategist than them, but I do think Parvati doesn't like blindsiding her own alliance while Kim and Sarah don't care. The Ozzy move is actually a rare move for Parvati she doesn't back stab people as much as her reputation says.

      I think the 2nd season would have a reversed boot order. If the seasons were filmed back to back then only the players who made the merge know who the winner was for season 1. Blindsides and arguments would carry over to season 2 as well.

    • @zeaferjones1404

      I saw someone else do a video about that and Michele Fitzgerald is the most successful Parvati 2.0. The thing people forget about Parvati is she played sort of under the radar until she voted out Ozzy. I think people are just trying to find any flirty hot sort of obnoxious girl as next Parvati, but Parvati didn't really become obnoxious until she had full control. She's more like Michele than people think.

    • @thefoxoflaurels3437

      People downright lie about Parvati’s Micronesia game, tbh. It was considered a pretty low-tier win with a lot of stuff going her way to make it happen.
      HvV is what cemented her legacy. And she lost. It’s weird. She has more of a legacy after a season she lost (and probably had a not-great chance to win by endgame) but the her more quiet, measured game is treated like it was something it wasn’t.

    I really wish Rob made it to the merge in WaW. I guarantee he wasn't going to win that season, but I think it was dumb to get rid of him before the merge since he is a huge target. He's smart to work with for his strategy and the fact everyone will want him out. I don't like the new school players needing to take out someone the minute they start to make a move, Adam and Ben really hurt themselves doing that.

    • @58twright

      He was definitely the biggest target in winners at war

    • @tattoofixerstattoos
      @tattoofixerstattoos 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It wasn't dumb for any of those that voted him out though. He had just tried to vote Adam out. Ben was closer to Sarah, and Sarah is the only reason he made it so far, it would have been super dumb to vote her out (and it was between her and Rob that vote). Sophie voting out Sarah over Rob would be even dumber for her. And of course when it comes to Ben and Adam, Rob is NEVER close to men on his seasons, and always picks women over men. Think of picking Jenna and Alicia over Lex (not even mentioning Amber since she is obvious), picking Natalie over Grant on Redemption Island, picking Vecepia over Sean on Marquesas. Rob is never close to any guys on any of his seasons, you can't name a single one he was close with or loyal too, Phillip does not count as he was a huge goat. So it would be super dumb for them to keep Rob ever. If you meant the entire group I would agree, but for those 5 and only a vote between Sarah and Rob, keeping Sarah was the easy choice.
