I love his new show. It’s not what I expected. I was expecting it to be cheesy and ridiculous, but it is actually a great show. I have rewatched season one and all of the new season two episodes.

Extremely poor audio. The level of the interview was way to low, I had to turn up a lot and then when the interview ended, the music at the end was very loud. I'd think MTV would do much better, but I guess they have no quality control.

I hear all the right stuff about this show. I am excited to see this (not so much about "Discovery" tho, that should be the real "Star Trek" deal).

Orville, is my Favorite, Syfy /Comedy, without being Silly. Well written.. I do miss Halston Sage, being a Small Person, with the strength she would display, was a Great Contrast..

I can't categorize or label The Orville, but it's really fun to watch, if you like subtle, ridiculous humor, along with epic special effects.

For me, Orville has also kinda sort a..Stargate SG1 spice in the mix, being light, but deep, similar character progress. Episodic etc. Definitely Star Trek TNG too obviously. Great show.
Penny used to be a recurring guest character on Deep Space Nine, but I find it interesting she continually never references her time on it... so far, Josh is the only one to recognize her past on that Star trek, but she seems eager to not bring that up at all

Its not THAT original of an idea, its Star Trek: The Next Generation, with a little extra humor and satire. Which is why I am excited to see it, we have needed something closer to TNG for over 10 years now!

1:25: No Seth, it's not. _The Orville_ is what people would call a dramedy (drama-comedy), of which there have been several shows (My World & Welcome To It, MASH, All In The Family (certain episodes) Good Times (certain episodes) One Day At A Time (certain episodes), Hooperman, The Days & Nights Of Molly Dodd, etc,-basically, it's a science fiction action adventure drama with comedic bits.
