Something has been puzzling me: does Delainey not know that Armand was aged up on the show? Because she talks about him being turned at such a young age that he should understand Claudia's issues, but in the series, he was turned at 27 (not 17 like in the books). 27 is not that young -- and certainly not young enough to identify with a 14-year-old.
@@tabbykitty994 He was 17, described as looking like a Botticelli angel. (He originally had red hair, but that's a superficial detail.) The key thing is that he was so serenely beautiful and innocent looking that nobody could hold anything against him -- which describes Assad perfectly! LOL. But regardless of book age, he's 27 in the show, so I still don't understand her comment.
@@Ilmiocuoreeimprigionato No, no. What he's saying is that when he's composing for a scene with Armand, he tries not to use violas or bassoons in the forefront of the music because they would compete with the timbre of Assad's voice. People wanted to know if he associates certain instruments with particular characters and he was saying that he doesn't, but he *does* need to be aware of things like that.
@@Ilmiocuoreeimprigionato Sure! The video is actually cut up, so you're missing part of the interview that would have made it more clear. But I'm deaf in one ear so I understand the difficulty hearing sometimes. Turning on the CC helps. ❤
@@realvampirelestat No she doesn't. in QOTD jessie hears her voice on a telephone. But there was never a physical Claudia. The they would retell the story is from possibly Lestats point of view, which was never really done in the books.
@@Navyman825 Claudia is the core of Loustats story... The entire grieving process and the constant pain of not being able to save her (mirroring the authors own loss of her young daughter). Changing it would be paying tribute to Ann and her daughter in a way too. There is no reason we should doubt the writers vision at this point, don't start whinging now.
@@decadeofmcfly she is not the core of his story, Louis is. She was part of the first book but not any thing else in the other books, except she was briefly mentioned in the 3 book by Jessie. i thought Armand was even younger like 14 or 15 in the books. I keep remembering Armand described as "face of an Angel"

Claudia is dead. Destroyed, she doesn't need to be in story.
perhaps she will be in flashbacks
@@Navyman825 She comes back in both flashbacks and as a haunting for both louis and lestat in the books so
