Everyone on this series was ridiculously talented. I loved Fame Academy so much and watching them put this song together from scratch was really wonderful.
This show was actually done as a reaction to multiple 'talent' shows where it wasn't really about developing talent (or even having much in the first place). So things were always wrong - I feel like you are nostalgic for a past that never truly existed. Stars In Their Eyes, Ready Steady Cook and so on had been putting entertainment in front of real talent for decades already.
Only Fame Academy really did that though. Sure, another couple of people on X-Factor or BGT did their own songs here and there, but it was never the focus about nurturing it. It was always only a quick "It's their own song, let's get on with it!" intro from the hosts, before a "And they'll be singing a song you know again next week!" disclaimer at the end that the show was, indeed, entertainment centred around lazy familiarity.
Ainslie was the star of the show, his songwriting was just amazing his album he he did afterwards was so not full of comercial shit it was really beautiful and unique. I still listen to it on my playlist now.
I have been following Lemar and his music for 22 years now and seen him live also and I have met him in person 6 times to and I'm going to see him in Glasgow in April 2019. I am a big Scottish/Fan and he knows me to.He is the best singer/song writer etc in my eyes his personality is spot on also.If your into ,Soul /and R & B Music you should listen into any of Lemar's Albums most of his lyrics are about Love/Heartache etc just beautifully sung by Lemar.I could go on and on I can't get enough of him.💋 him. 🎤🎧🎼🎶🎹🎵😎❤📝💿💻💽
Remember this well, they were put into pairs, Ainsley and Lemar wrote and produced this.. for some reason at a later date they put Sneddon into the final production which destroyed it. This is the copy to own.
From what I can recall they were the final three, there was certain copyright issues with songs that has been picked. So they lopped sneddon into the final cut for the album
Lemar already had the song/concept, he came to Ainsley to help with the chorus so it wouldn't sound like a typical rnb track. Fame academy then put David on it because they knew he was the one they was pushing to win so wanted him to get as much shine/attention as possible, and couldn't ignore the fact this was a hit so wanted to attach him to it. But there was no need for him on this track, it had nothing to do with him, and didn't fit him at all. It's a Lemar ft Ainsley song
cx1735 true. but on the other hand the song did make it onto the cd which had outstanding chart success and he would have paid off a mortgage or two from the royalties.
Lamar got famous on the back of his own extremely beautiful voice which was miles ahead of anyone that season, and he should have won. With or without this song Lamar would have become famous due to his talent which comes across rarely
All these years later, I still love this ❤
Still gives me goosebumps
Lemar has the best voice period
DECEMBER 2024 I STILL LOVE THIS.

Remember this like it was yesterday!!
and that children, is how real music is made!!!!
Fame academy was so amazing, still love this song
back when talent shows artists could sing and make thier own music....what went so wrong :(:(
Interest is in the judges than actual artists today.

I wanted Ainslee to win, Lemar should have - sneddon made no sense!

Cricket brought me here.
Putting my baby to sleep with this song in 2022.
Respect x
Anyone know the chords?
ook
I always felt really robbed on Ainsley's behalf that Lamar got famous off the back of this.
