BTW... with an MRE you might be able to actually make your dinner inside the punt while in your sleeping bag. Then all of the heat used to make the meal would start out heating up your interior space. (That said, it does push out some steam, but it does look like you have sufficient air exchange.) If you did seal it up a little more, maybe a small hand warmer would heat the space up?
@@markgallagher1376 that would be something! My father towed me in our canoe using our 16’ G-Cat beach cat which had over 200 SF of sail. As long as you sit behind the middle and have 1 dagger board down it should work.
@@TinyHouseHomestead that would be fun! There is 1 guy that did that but it was extremely heavy and required an electric bike to pull it. I may try something In the medium weight range but with more room.
@@TinyHouseHomestead I have learned that a boat that is shorter than 10' long is no good, so 10' long would be a good starting point. I realize plywood comes in 8' long sheets so, there would need to be a butt joint somewhere. My punt is 27" wide, but making one 28" wide would mean it still fits on the bike path.
@@markpalmquist Hey, I made a "GSketchup" of a 10'x30"x4' Punty Houseboat! I put a video short on me channel! So let me know what we need to change? 😁👍👍🇺🇸
are you and the wifey getting along ok? EDIT: i meant it as a joke .. but if it's actually a case of marital problems, that's Not funny....when things get too broken to fix, it's a devastating journey, and i hope that is not the case.
It was truly something I wanted to do. I had already gone hiking and cross county skiing but my ski broke. My mountain bike had a flat tire and broken de-railer, otherwise I would have used it. The indoor pools in my town are all heavily chlorinated otherwise I would swim. A gym membership is an option but I prefer the outdoor air.
Oooooooo, I like the SKI thingy!! 😁👍👍🇺🇸
The wildlife is always such a nice bonus! Thanks for including that.

Great video! Thanks for posting! (Some folks that see the title might not know it's a boat?)
@@ChristianNally I’ll try that next time, thanks.
@@ChristianNally I just now added that to the description, thanks.
@@ChristianNally the creatures of the night are very vocal, at least the predators or the ones trying to hook up 😀
I hope your right about the proa. I would love to see you doing 18 kn in a canoe.

why, Why, WHY, does everyone do the coffee thing, ... how bout a spot of HOT TEA! 😱😁🤪😝🤣👍👍🇺🇸
@@TinyHouseHomestead I like chai but it requires milk, which I did not have. Coffee has more caffeine. Mate is also a good option.
@markpalmquist "caffiene" is a drug, no drugs (that's juz crayzay), just put some sugar in ya TEA! 😱🤪😝🤣👍👍🇺🇸
