Amazing!! Both are outstanding. Speaking of accidents though - how do you use a lathe and not rip your arms off with those baggy sleeves 😂 Love your work mate!
The cells look great filled in with resin but I think you should take that small piece and do it clear. Turn it into a jewelry box or something. Really show that it's a wasp nest!
I love both bowls. The colors remind me of Van Gogh paintings. The blue/yellow bowl is starry nights, and the green/yellow one looks like sunflowers. Beautiful. Thanks Nick.
It's definitely a wasp nest and you are definitely a mad lad! Always something new and interesting! I just started and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished.
@@juliadagnall7103bees don’t stack their hive like that, they hang single combs for brood and honey, bees use wax to make honeycomb where as wasps use wood pulp making a more paper type structure. the hexagon shap it most efficient found in nature a lot. This is definitely a wasp nest.
@@juliadagnall7103You're just trolling. They're paper they're not wax. That's the difference there's no honey made in these. Only eggs laid in the very metal which is missing here. So you either just don't know much about insects and pollinators. Or you're trolling. Yes they have the same shape. That's part of nature.

Wow absolutely stunning! The blue and yellow one looks almost like a sunflower from inside but the bottom and sides look something straight out of a Van Gogh painting! @13:49
Those are definitely wasp nests - I have them on my balcony now and then. Beasties never give me any trouble really and it is super interesting to watch them. But what you did them - so gorgeous Everything about them is perfect: the colours, the structure, the shine - I'm totally in love with these. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend everybody.
Thank you for letting them be. They eat so many pest insects. There's a bug version of bats. It's really nice to see somebody. That knows that they're important and leaves them alone. I just wanted to say thank you!✨️💜🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵🩶🖤🌏🌎🌍🤘🏼
I've been a fan of your channel since around the time of covid. I watched a couple of your "unwaffled" videos recently, but I like watching your "regular" videos more. I definitely prefer listening to you talk in your videos. Your sense of humor makes your videos even more fun to watch.
I like the blue and yellow better, the colors blended and swirled so well, and it shows the hive structure so much better. They both polished up really well. Definitely a wasp/hornet hive of some sort since it has a paper-like structure.
I love the blue one. Just so you know bees make a wax comb so those are wasp or hornet because they make a paper comb. Very pretty though Nick thank you for sharing.
Those are wasp/hornets nests. I watch The Hornet King, and that's what the cells look like. This project was so cool, turned out fantastic, as usual!!!
Your wasp nest bowls are awesome. Especially the blue and gold because the cells show up so good inside that one. But both are great pieces. I've watched your new channel some but I still prefer this one with your waffling and banter. Thanks for sharing Nick. Have a good one.
At first I was disappointed that you'd used such opaque resin because the hive pieces aren't able to be seen clearly. But the bowls look so cool, so I somewhat forgive you. They give the bowls a wonderful dimension and design. However, it would be nice to have used a more transparent resin so the hives are the feature. Maybe next time.
I love them both, but I think I might have liked them more with a slightly more translucent resin colour. That way, you would have seen more of the honeycombs. Stunning though
I love the green and gold for color but the blue and yellow is gear for showing the hive. Maybe take the piece left and put it in clear resin and use it to stick the bowls. Amazing work
Wow, Nick, so cool! I love them both. But I agree the blue and yellow one has the better display of the nest cells. Fun project! Great way to blast into 2024!
Ive missed your videos! These wasp nest bowls are GREAT! Thank you for showing uscwhat can be made from 'trash'. I love them both!! Im subscribed to both channels! ❤
Now they DID turn out well !! Very original - big thumbs up. I agree with an earlier comment - take the left over and do it clear to really see the nest.
i agree with some of the other comments suggesting a clear resin, that way you can see the nest structures in 3D through the resin. a light amber tint would look really cool, almost the color of honey! 🐝 beautiful work regardless, i’m always amazed by your talent ☺️
Great composition Nick. You might want to use sanding sealer the next time you use insect nest as media. It is made of cellulose like wood. Will make those elements seal up and shine even more. Nice bowls my friend.
top notch, these are awesome, I do like the blue and yellow one the most, you should do this again with transparent dye so you can see more of the comb structure
Oh my goodness Nicki Z! This was an amazing idea! The colors are excellent, the wasp nest pattern is exquisite! You're artist is showing and it's the bees knees!
Fantastic to see you Nick! Gorgeous bowls. Mind you, I am actually happier I got to listen to you “waffle”…lol. If you decide to do more of these bowls, I’d love to see some with only a very light (yet still fairly see-through) pigment added. Either way, I look forward to your next video.
Would have liked to see one in just clear. You can't really tell what the honeycomb pattern is. Maybe even a lamp where the light would shine through the honeycombs.
Absolutely gorgeous and unique bowls, both are stunning. Only you would have thought to use a wasp’s nest. Truly one of a kind(well two actually, lol). Love them! ❤❤
I love this.. I prefer the blue but I like them both. I love bees! They're very much in the limelight at the moment. Unpaid workers keeping us all alive! Brilliant job. 🎉
While the bowls do look cool, I think there's something to be said about not making the resin so opaque and instead only making it translucent so the hive is more visible.
I love the end results. I think the very little piece you got left you should do in Claire just so you can see the whole beehive make something out of that.

Nick you should have done one of them in clear resin. But they looked cool
Amazing!! Both are outstanding. Speaking of accidents though - how do you use a lathe and not rip your arms off with those baggy sleeves 😂
Love your work mate!
Paper wasp's nest. It COULD be hornets, hornets are a type of paper wasp. Beehives are made of wax not paper.
As time goes on people get a false sense of security and it terrifies me. He needs to take care of himself better.@@stephenbatchelor7400

Agreed
Oh definitely and use a honey colored powder in it
Love this idea.❤
OMG I was just thinking the same thing or maybe a base for a lamp when the light shines on it make it a talking point
That was a rare, double decker nest of the common paper wasp. Excellent project, gorgeous bowls.👍👍
I like them both but would have been interested in seeing what it would have looked like in just clear resin.
I love both bowls. The colors remind me of Van Gogh paintings. The blue/yellow bowl is starry nights, and the green/yellow one looks like sunflowers. Beautiful. Thanks Nick.
I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. Van Gogh is my favorite artist and those 2 paintings are so beautiful.

Wasp nest. Quite common in South Texas.
Looks like something out of a vanGogh painting !!😍😍😍

@@gomezaddams6470 I love them all: wasps, hornets, bees, bumblebees - all the black and yellows ❤️

I love the excitement in your voice about this. It's great to hear you happy and excited about a project.
I’m of two minds on this… On the one hand it turned out awesome!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
…But on the other hand, I’m terrified of wasps… 😰
The blue and yellow is my favorite due to the visibility of the cells themselves. Both are beautiful and very unique.
Galactic wasps. Looks awesome! 😍
Wasp nest. Their nests are basically paper like this. Amazing insects.
I like the blue and yellow better, the colors blended and swirled so well, and it shows the hive structure so much better. They both polished up really well.
Definitely a wasp/hornet hive of some sort since it has a paper-like structure.
Wow, could you turn the remaining hive into a lid, maybe with a clearer resin to show it off? Looks stunning.
I was not sure what you had in mind at first. NOW I see the beauty. Well done.
I love the blue one. Just so you know bees make a wax comb so those are wasp or hornet because they make a paper comb. Very pretty though Nick thank you for sharing.
Two Masterpieces 👌 very beautiful Artwork Thank you for sharing your amazing Artwork with us 🙏🏼😊❤️
Those are wasp/hornets nests. I watch The Hornet King, and that's what the cells look like. This project was so cool, turned out fantastic, as usual!!!
That was something I never would have thought of. Turned out beautifully. The blue and gold shows off the cell nicely, my favourite.
It's definitely a wasp nest. Happy New Year to you. It's nice to hear your waffling again.
I love the green one because that is my favorite color, but they're both beautiful. The blue one shows the cells a bit better. Gorgeous!👍🏾❤️
Love this video style !!!?!
Just enough Nickisms, silliness, and lots of informational tidbits!
CARRY ON SIR! 😄😀😃
😂😂
whoa! both are unreal. the bluer one really shows off the interior of the nest, and the greener one has amazing colors. both are beautiful!
Definitely a wasps nest, loved how the project came out.

Those are sic! I love them. Both have personalities. I see the wasp nest but also fire, feathers, and Northern lights!
I get the need for color, but it makes me wonder if it would be more interesting with a clear resin…albeit a lot more rustic in color.
Still, love it!
Such a beautiful piece of art! A real home run as they say !!! 🥳🥳👍🌷
Those are amazing! I dont know why but the blue one makes me think of sunflowers! 🌻🌻🌻
It does! It looks very Van Gogh.

Love it!! Can't wait to see your work in 2024. Waffle on!
Would have been neat to do a yellow and orange mixture to look like honey in the hive!

I didn't think it'd come out that good! It came out amazing!
Very interesting, would love to see the last piece made in a clear resin 😀
Just starting this, but it already looks wild. Nick, you’re a madman in the best ways! Awesome!
