I'm not sure if I mentioned it on the recipe or not, but you can add things to this recipe, such as, garlic, herbs or if you want to spice it up with cayenne or hot sauce. It is so easy to change it up. It is one of my son's favs. He would get excited when he would come home and it was cooking. I love you so much. Thank you so much for making this one and sharing. One of our family's favorites, is what i call Swiss Chicken. (Instead of swiss steak). We are using chicken (Boneless Breats or thighs). Tenderize the your chicken. Flour & fry it like chicken fried chicken steaks until crispy. Remove from skillet. Drain most of grease out of pan, keeping any crunchies in skillet. Add chicken back into skillet. Cut red & green peppers into strips, as well as a LARGE onion or to medium onions. Add a large can of diced tomatoes to your skillet over your chicken. Add peppers & onions on top of tomatoes. Season to taste(Salt & pepper, Garlic). Cover with lid and simmer until peppers & onions are soft. I usually simmer on low for 30 - 45 minutes. Great served with potatoes, Rice, or just a any side vegetable. It's so tasty. We eat this at least once a week. We love our onion & bell peppers. I add crushed red pepper flakes to ours. We like it a little on the spicy side.

I might have to try this sometime. I’ve never had a tomato gravy, I just can’t imagine that on mashed potatoes. For some reason, I could see it more so, on the fried potato patties, that you did a video on, awhile back. But, I would have to have chicken breasts, I just never have anything to do with dark meat.

Using olive oil makes me nervous. This recipe looks delicious. But olive oil has such a low smoke point that I never use it to fry anything. Just curious Talli Faye...what are your thoughts?
@@pamelaj25 I don’t use olive oil that often but it makes the perfect little crust on the chicken in this recipe… I just adjusted my heat to accommodate it😊♥️😊
