yeah, funnily enough many KTMs have fuel pump problems, kinda annoyed me though they called it german :/
That mr2 was way too expensive but it honestly had a lot of nice parts and looked like a pretty sick car outside of the paint. And especially if his stock motor was giving him some trouble I can see the swap being permissible
Those 2GRs are great, lighter, cheaper to run, and they sound amazing with the right exhaust, they’re also REALLY cheap to swap as well…

@@badseigeclips382 Imo, like with most engine swaps it depends on how it was put together, some kits/swaps/builds are far better than others and some owners are far better than others. I’ve seen good ones and bad ones irl myself.
I have a 2GR MR2 and yeah, they are sick, but there are good swaps and bad swaps. Mine is not terrible, not great.
But THIS guy. oustide of the swap, which we can't see directly, look at the paint job! he PAINTED OVER HIS RADIATOR. and those rims, oh dear. I think I know what state the swap is in.
People are so quick to judge other peoples builds when they have zero back story. Honestly yeah the green can be a little much BUT it was painted in a small one car garage, and driving on mid west roads Tears a lowered car up. It’s a 90s Japanese car and it’s in better shape then most stock examples for sale. It’s rust free, has bc coilovers and willwood brakes the wheels need some love but they are real work wheels and fit great without a bunch of stupid spacers.. I don’t need to defend how much better of a engine the 2gr is over the 3sgte. And imo still a better build then the other cars show on here.. I’m not sure exactly what is sketchy about it but it has ran a 11 sec quarter mile and still reliably drive anywhere I wanna go. Runs amazing. But y’all think what you want ✌️

Ok I hate everything about that MR2… Except the 2GRFE swap, they’re cheap to swap, are lighter than the 3SGTE, sound way better and have a lot of potential for mods… Not that the 3SGTE is bad but if I had a neglected MR2 Turbo I’d probably take the 3SGTE out and put a 2GRFE in as well just so I don’t have to lose 20 years of my life trying to make that thing reliable 😅
I was delighted to see how much of your channel is reviewing random marketplace nonsense, but I gotta say, this is such a good format. There's definitely stuff your other videos have that this doesn't, but I think making this format a somewhat regular occurrence might be a good idea.
