Very interesting video Ivan seeing the old money reminded me of the tin of old money we found hidden between the roof joists of the old house we knocked down to build ours the gentleman who owned the house and farm before us had searched for it for years he even lifted all the floor boards
@TheLowcountryboys 🤣I actually kept it as I knew the wee man that lived and farmed the wee 18acre farm and worked in donaghcloney factory and thought of how long it took him saving it up so I just held onto it
Super video, enlightening. I'd like to have seen the stone from the old chapel on the shore! £100 in 1950 would have been the same as around 4 or 5000 today! so no small sum
I had a walk along the beach about a year ago with a man who studies old maps and he showed me the foundations off a lime kiln and a foundry owned by the savage family in the 1100's , out 30 yards or so and further down the beach, the tide came in before we got up to see the chapel foundations !, he logs the coordinates on GPS and sends them to Queens university, DEARA, Ancient Monuments etc. and I was trying to get him to do a walk with me and take drone shots etc. 👍
Thanks for another interesting video. It was good to hear about the history of the people of the local area. The seed remedy was an intriguing story.
Great history Ivan, may a great story line continue!
