Hi Tye family. After discovering you guys from the random YT algorithm,I’ve watched a few of your videos now over the last few days and can’t give you guys enough credit for the great and professional work you do. You guys are what makes this country and your family great- hard, honest work. My hat’s off to you all! God Bless, Your nearby neighbor in Staten Island,NY
Hello and thank you ML for your amazing comment. Like most of us over here, we moved from NY. My grandfather moved from Brooklyn to Staten Isl. My dad was raised on SI and eventually moved to Jersey. But, we still spent our holidays in SI. Thank you and I hope we hear from you again real soon, Tom
They make stuff difficult because they can. Doing drains does not require all that work that they want yall to provide. I know each town is different in their codes but something this simple shouldn't require all that nonsense. Yall do great work glad I foind your channel a few months ago. Ive enjoyed the videos. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed this video! I like all of your water issue solutions….would love to see an after video of the rain collecting and the system working… Stay hydrated!! From Raleigh, NC.
Great to see Nick on the job, he's cool! Tough inspector keeps fly by night contractors out of his town and protects his residents. A bit of a pain for everyone, but only a top notch, respectable company like yours can get major work like this there.
Thank you Joe. We always enjoy anytime we get to work with Nick. Thank you for your insights on the inspector/engineering dept. I agree 100% and Thanks, Tom
Great Job Guys. Just started watching you r site you guys appear to do a great job keep up the great work. hopefully the next job will be in the shade.
I work for a city that in last 10 years has turned into that city. I am maintenance so I use local hardware store almost weekly. The owner used to see me and immediately come over and chat with me. He spent a lot of money upgrading the store and the city engineers really screwed him over. and he sorta took it out on me. He would barely wave to me last couple years. Anyway last month I was telling girl in paint dept there that I was retiring at end of August and I appreciated all her help. I spent almost $12k in paint just last 18 months or so. The owner over heard and came over and apologized to me and wished me a happy retirement. He said he was just so frustrated with city. Any way, awesome job!
Thank you Shaster. I agree. This one took longer than normal. That was a tough cage in that concrete, but going slow and easy did the trick. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
Hi William. It’s great to hear from you. This town was a bit over the top, but it all turned out good. Thank you again for your compliments and have a good day, Tom
The permitting process is such a scam. I live in an area that they ask for permits and the contractors never do the public work correctly and in fact my saying for municipal jobs is (lets get it right the third time). But its really just an extra tax. Love the show found you guys several months ago and have learned a lot.
Thank you Nic, It's normal to need a permit to tie into the city storm sewer. The grading permit and daily inspection was over the top. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
Thank you Matt. This family enjoys spending time around their fire pit. This was basically a temporary patio to see if they want something more permanent. If they do they can install a real nice fire pit area with pavers or concrete. If not, it would be easy to revert back to lawn. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
Nice work; I don't know how you guys can deal with that heat and humidity? I'm a Swamp Yankee and would need to swap out about a half-dozen T shirts for one shift. That back-wash feature on the downspout is a great idea.
Thank you very much Stanton. The heat was brutal. I kick myself now, because I forgot to bring our big fan. That would have made the job much more bearable. There was very little air circulation with that big fence. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
Hi Randy, they are tee fittings that we use as inlets to capture water. We’ve been doing it this way for many years. They work especially well because it doesn’t matter how deep the pipe is. A catch basin has to be a specific distance from the surface. I hope I answered your question, Tom
You’re right Manic. It is an awesome pool and the homeowner really keeps it nice. They kept telling us to take a dip, but I said if we go in you’ll never get us back out. Lol. Have a great evening
It’s probably just for the money they could care less about what you guys do and they are just controlling freaks but great work and i wouldn’t ever do anything again for that township thats my opinion thanks again for a great video
You’re right. The original plan was to just strip the sod and put down the stone. Since they made us purchase a grading permit we did a little grading and leveled out the pad. Have a good weekend
@MookieMan1 the last sump pump job was Manalapan. That engineer was great and very easy to work with. This was Marlboro. We joke and say you need a permit to open a water bottle in Marlboro.
It would be nice if you would return to your jobs when it is raining to show that your new drainage installations are working as another drainage company does on Utube
My goodness. I have never heard of a city giving a contractor so much trouble on such a small project. By small I mean nothing structural. I would never ever do any work in that area unless the homeowner is okay with paying 3x what the cost should be. Without the money making it worth it, I don’t think you should ever go back there. Not to mention dealing with inspectors and architects is already a stressful experience. Throw a brain dead city in the mix and you just created a massive headache. RUUUUNNNNNN TOM RUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN!
I agree with your first assessment of that town. If I were you, I would never work in that township again!
Seeing the water flow into the county drain must be like putting the last piece of a puzzle in. Very cool. You ate the best.
That was very satisfying Stephen. Plus, we try to show that it works. Thank you for your very nice comments. Tom
Are, not ate. Sigh.
That’s is nuts!!! All the permits 😅

Thank you very much Jono. Have a great day

Good story and thanks for sharing. We appreciate your compliment and that’s a lot of money in paint. Happy Retirement and Have a good weekend, Tom
@12:28, the most satisfying moment of the video...
Thank you Shaster. I agree. This one took longer than normal. That was a tough cage in that concrete, but going slow and easy did the trick. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
FABULOUS WORK
Thank you very much Anthony. Have a great day
Nice work Tye!
Thank you very much Lee. Have a great evening
You always have done great work. Why don't they accept that. The only thing is that they were able to get the money 💰.
Hi William. It’s great to hear from you. This town was a bit over the top, but it all turned out good. Thank you again for your compliments and have a good day, Tom
@@tyelandscapinganddrainage That is a good thing that it worked out well.
NICE 👌👌
Thank you David
Great stuff everyone

I can't see where you would need a permit on any part of this job. Another good job well done.
Thank you Nic, It's normal to need a permit to tie into the city storm sewer. The grading permit and daily inspection was over the top. Thanks again and have a great day, Tom
Thanks for the video. nice work. Wonder if the stone dust ends up in the pool with kids and dogs running around on it?

Is that pipe perforated? Great video, subscribed
Thank you very much Corey and welcome. No, the pipe is solid sdr 35. Have a great day
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I been watching your videos and was wondering where you have solid pipe to catch surface water are those t fittings in ditch or catch basins
Hi Randy, they are tee fittings that we use as inlets to capture water. We’ve been doing it this way for many years. They work especially well because it doesn’t matter how deep the pipe is. A catch basin has to be a specific distance from the surface. I hope I answered your question, Tom
It must be torture working in that heat just inches away from that inviting pool.
You’re right Manic. It is an awesome pool and the homeowner really keeps it nice. They kept telling us to take a dip, but I said if we go in you’ll never get us back out. Lol. Have a great evening
Must be marlboro township lol
Yes, good guess Carlos. Have a good weekend
@tyelandscapinganddrainage I just got a above ground pool and sounded like the same process haha
Marlboro is tough. Congratulations on your new pool.
Hi guys, nice job :) Could you let me know where you got the tapered bucket with no teeth? 'manufacture' Thanks!!
Thank you Scott. It was made here at Tye Landscaping. We made that bucket. There’s a video. You have to look back a couple years. Thanks again, Tom
If only that yard was a lil bigger and not so close to other houses itd be perfect imo.
It is a beautiful home. Have a good evening Digital
It’s probably just for the money they could care less about what you guys do and they are just controlling freaks but great work and i wouldn’t ever do anything again for that township thats my opinion thanks again for a great video
Thank you Paul. I believe you are correct. Thanks again
Burm? You did do grading?😂
You’re right. The original plan was to just strip the sod and put down the stone. Since they made us purchase a grading permit we did a little grading and leveled out the pad. Have a good weekend
Doesn’t the grass just grow over the inlets in a year or so. I know mine would
Brad, you must have missed this 43:12
Is this middlesex or Monmouth county?
Hi Mookie, this is Monmouth, but very close to us. Have a great evening

@@tyelandscapinganddrainagethat was my next guess. I figured manalapan would have been just as bad.
The Manalapan engineer couldn’t have been nicer to us and very easy to work with. I look forward to working In Manalapan again.

M*n*l*p*n?!?!
No, good guess. I had good luck with Manalapan. That last sump pump job was Manalapan. Think cigarettes.

Liberal Democrat city bureaucrats...must be N.J. Permits pay their salaries.
That could very well be true. Have a good day Robert.
Boo hoo! 😨😨😨
Don’t cry Jeff. It all worked out. Thanks for watching
