Hi! I played this a lot as a kid with a friend. You need to unlock the main story at the plaza. There is a pet shop and 10 pets or a similar number scape. All the pets look like you, so I understand is confusing. And you need to locate them through all the map. I remember reseting the game with my friend and seeing who could find all faster. There is another version of the virtual pet, and I always wanted it because the map is bigger than this one 😂.

I just bought a “brand new” (it hasn’t been opened/removed from its original packaging) LPS Virtual Pet Gen1 Bird on Mercari! It was pricey, but totally worth it for the nostalgia! I had a Gen1 Puppy/Bulldog when I was much younger, but have since lost it. I’m gonna get a super cute lanyard to put my new Birdetta (name is a work in progress) on, as well as a bunch of other Tamagotchis + charms!
I had the Panda and Snail one as a kid. I stopped playing with them because eventually if you had them long enough a glitch would occur where it would transport you to somewhere and it would start scrolling forever.. I never figured out what the heck happened there.
I wanted one of these so badly when I was a kid, but my mom never got me one. But I remember my best friend had one and she would let me play hers lol. Ah nostalgia 😩❤️
