- We've been asked a bunch of times now how to shop on Gmarket, so we're gonna do one of our old fashioned tutorials and show you how to shop online in Korea!

This is a TL;DR question that popped up a lot, and it's kind of one of our old school tutorials as well. Here's how you shop online in Korea on Gmarket!

princeofneko12 Yes. I buy it from Denmark, and it is still very fast. But the shipping charges are maybe a bit expensive for some people.

Information time!
yes many people do go to the ATM to pay for things but if you have a free time, go to the bank and set up your account
for Electronic Certificate (공인인증서) once you set it up at the bank, you can come home and download this certificate
into your pc, phone, or usb drive. ther certificate is highly secured you cannot mannually open or delete by just going into the folder (infact you will not see it until you actually have to sign in with it) Now you can pay for your things through the official website of the bank you've signed in instead of having to go to the machine. i'm sorry i can't give you a detail info since this only is a comment section.

I just tried it for the first time! I was always too worried to order stuff to my place in Korea, but now I've finally done it and can't wait to see if it ends up at my doorstep haha

Simon and Martina Hi! I made a payment (debit card-foreign) but after it processed the page is not available. I wonder if the items is out of stock or I already made the payment? I’m really worried about it 🤧
this helped soo much with the sizing issue, being from America it's so hard to understand European and Korean sizing. That sweater Martina got would fit me perfectly like it's baggy on her but on me it'd only be slightly baggy. It's just cool to know that I could order those super cute sweaters. Usually I go on there add ones I like to my cart and then sigh and leave the website.
To anyone who's interested in buying on Gmarket, but you think the shipping is way too expensive (especially if you're only interested in a few things); Or don't have any friends or family who wish to partake in the spree, there is a way. Surveys! Soompi.com hosts surveys where it gathers people together to purchase on several online shops including Gmarket. It starts out with 1 person (the survey starter) who will collect the money, purchase all the things, have things delivered to the starter, and then that person will later deliver it to the survey participants. This method is a bit risky though, because you'd be sending money to a complete stranger and he/she might be untrustworthy. There is a white list thread where you can find feedback on particular sellers/buyers. That is a must do before partaking in a survey. Good luck to anyone who wants to try this method!
Woah, I am amazed at the speed for domestic delivery!
The last time I made a purchase on gmarket was like in 2009/2010, korea to Singapore took about 7working days and the delivery EMS cost like 20+ sgd for a phone casing...

fyi--if you didn't know--you can click that little round pink tag on the right side and it will book mark your location on the page, and you can just click the numbers what pop up after and it will take you right to that part of the page--but usually the book marks only go up to 10

Tip - There are a lot of stores selling the same items, but total price can be cheaper so shop around.
Also different shops selling identical items can have very different estimated weight (can cause overpaying, though you will be compensated later).
Using bookmark function to number and add notes to the items you are interested in is a good way to keep tabs, also using the buying window at the bottom of the page makes things simpler too? No need to scroll and look for your items.

Omgosh Martina.. u dont need to "bookmark" your selections using text editor. Gmarket provides bookmark tag on the page. See that tiny pink round bookmark tag that stays on screen even when u scroll up and down? It's very useful! I hope it helps :)

That tutorial was very helpful. I was wondering though. How do you know your size in Korea? Like shoes, shirts, dresses, etc. Is there some sort of converter you used? Also, do you buy food off of G market? Or is it easier to go to the grocery store?

Not kidding, if u live in korea, online shopping shipping is so easier and cheap, sometime u got free ship and maybe 2$ and since korea isnt that big , the shipping delivery really fast

I usually shop online on Qoo10 SG, they have like other countries too like Qoo10 global and Korea. Love love the sweater and the super cute Spudgy clothingssss omg!

Hi! I had a question about Gmarket shipping- if you buy items from different mini stores are all of your items shipped together in one box or are the items shipped separately?
