    Paul,
    My wife and I have a couple of Leitner e-bikes on order - her's is a "Milan" & mine a "Berlin", like your's. Just wanted your feedback on whether the assembly of your bike went smoothly and whether there were any singnificant adjustments necessary with the disc-brakes and the rear derailleur gears. Finally, did the chain, seat post, handle-bar post and the pedals need any lubrication at the assembly stage?

    • @aussiepaul
      @aussiepaul  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi
      I'm sure that you will love your new bikes.
      The assembly went smooth and the instructions were clear.
      I didn't need to touch the derailer at all but the front brakes were rubbing after attaching the front wheel.
      I found this quite fiddly but there are plenty of good TH-cam videos showing how to properly adjust disc brakes.
      I did buy some lube in anticipation of needing it but all parts were lubed and ready to assemble, although you will need it to service the bike when required.
      Thanks for your comments and happy biking 🚲🚲

      Aussie Paul Well, our bikes arrived today. Putting together was a breeze and my first ride OMG!! I love it. I have artery problems and so can only walk a 100 meters and I have to stop as my legs are in agony. I just did km's with no pain, except from muscles not used to doing the job. Best investment, I have made. I got the Berlin and the wife the Venice, and typical we have big storms due tomorrow so wont be able to give them a big test till it clears.

    Hey great video, just wondering is a bike with throttle legal in Sydney?

    • @aussiepaul

      In NSW, only power-assisted pedal cycles and electrically power-assisted cycles are legal and the e-bikes cannot exceed speeds of 25 km/hr

    Hi Paul greetings from Port Macquarie enjoyed your review of the Leitner Berlin Cruiser. I’ve the same except in white and have owned it just on two months and love it. I was comforted to hear that bit of a humming noise coming from the motor or battery as Ive the same but it seems to be normal. Leitner also confirmed the same. Agree totally re the assist option and the few times only I’ve tried out the open throttle and up to around 24.6km. Just two questions if I may what size battery did you get? Mine is the standard one, and approximately how many Kms can you manage between charges. Thanks again very enjoyable. Warwick

    • @aussiepaul
      @aussiepaul  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Warwick,
      I'm glad you found the video enjoyable. The reason that I made and posted it was because there was no reviews on TH-cam about this particular E bike.
      The noise from the motor is typical of an electric motor but reviewers usually use one microphone to record their voice, therefore the motor noise is muffled. I used two mics, one for voice and the other mounted near the motor so viewers can actually hear what their bike will sound like.
      I purchased the 16 amp hour battery after much deliberation. I went for this due to research explaining that the amp hour of a battery is like a cars gas tank. It will hold more juice.
      I'm averaging about 55 Kms between charges using mainly assist level 3. As I become fitter and use less assist, the distance between charges will become greater but I'm not there yet.🤞
      BTW, I unlocked🚳my bike allowing it to travel past 25 kms before cutting the motor off.
      Just make sure your brakes are in good working order. 😂
