Great video mate! Saving hard to fly MEL-SIN next year in First for the Singapore GP. Think this video was just the motivation I needed to make it happen 😂
Thank you for another great video and tips. Last month we used the Air New Zealand lounge on your advice. It was much better than the MEL Silverkris lounge, and for our late night departure it was almost empty with only SQ and TG departures left before closure for the evening. SQ excelled as usual on our 4 sectors to HND and return. The Changi T3 Silverkris lounge is much better than the T2 lounge.
Brother, Thank you so much for showing us to use Air NZ lounge in Melbourne. I used SQ business from Melbourne recently and after watching your video, I used air NZ lounge and it’s 100 times better than SQ lounge in Melbourne. It’s was a great tip you showed us!!! Thank you so much!!! 🙏
Thank you for another great video! I'm looking forward to my first international business class flights on Singapore Airlines in December this year and will make use of your very helpful information 🤗
Going to be booking a rewards seat for August (Sydney or M 1:21 elbourne to LAX) and trying to decide between QF on the A380 or AA B777. I've heard that service on the A380 can be pretty rare. However, I am intrigued by the idea of possibly being able to snag a first-class seat at the last minute (with the understanding that the product will still be Business Class, just in a 1st Class seat). I'm just not sure I want to fly AA.
G'day! You might be a touch too late for seats in August but never say never! If you have the choice id say Qantas would be preferable to AA (even though I've never flown it, based purely on other reviews) but either is better than economy!
@pointyend-secrets thanks for that. Yeah, I won't have any issues getting on the A380 in August. I keep a close eye on it and they release tons of seats last-minute
I actually havent flown their A380 but from what I see it is basically the same as the 777. In terms of preference Id say - the 777 is the best as it (somehow) feels even larger with the physically wider plane (include the A380 in this I suppose.) - A350 Long Haul - A350/787 Regional (I actually love this on a daytime flight, its shocking to sleep in overnight though, a video on that is coming soon!)
Usually! But booking far enough in advance, as well as having a good stack of Velocity, Qantas and American Express points keeps the options wide open to find something on return!
@@pointyend-secrets thanks mate. I’m looking into RTW now. Please share some of your thoughts in future videos looking forward to it. And yes stacking velocity qantas and Amex for now
how did you manage to get the flight for 67,000 points? Im currenly looking for flights mel>sin>hkt and that amount of points only seem to stretch for an economy seat
It certainly does, its my biggest peice of advice to anyone flying, know the airlines youre flying on and its partners & alliances. A Business Ticket on most airlines will entitle you to Lounge access at their own lounges, but also those of their partners (and vice-versa.) Flying SQ Business out of Melbourne? Use the Air NZ Lounge, not the SQ. Flying Qantas Business out of Manila? Use the Cathay Lounge, not the Marhaba.
On a shorter flight maybe okay but longer flights when you’re trying to sleep it’s shit with that footwell off to the side like a contortionist. The A380 and A350 are the same. Only exclusion are some bulkhead seats if you’re lucky ! I’ll be flying another airline in future thanks.
Yeah its a hard sell sometimes! I love the witch and the space compared to almost every other business class seat in the world, but the footwell just ruins it! Which airlines BC seat do you prefer?
The regional A350-900 craft is much better as you lie straight ahead. Gives me a back ache. It's about time Singapore upgrades the seats on the three long-haul aircraft. They aren't as comfortable as Qatar, Qantas or even Malaysia Airlines.

Good luck! SQ First is a goal of mine as well!

Glad it was helpful!
Just took this flight and even though I knew very well 2 hours into the flight I still kept tapping the screen 😂 nice vid, it’s a great seat!
I know exactly what you mean!

Great video! That non touch screen is insane
Right?! Its pretty bizzare!

Let me know how it is! We are doing LAX - Mel in October!
@@pointyend-secrets will do! I have heard mixed reviews
Another wonderful video ❤
I was about to book EK first from Mel to Singapore return for about 200k Qf points AND $2450 AUD IN TAXES. YEAH NAH.
Thank you!
Ooft thats a lot of taxes! Save it for a longer trip!
Which Singapore business class is your favourite in order from a380, A350 long haul, A350 Regional and the 777. And are the seats all comfy?

Hi mate quick question, if you couldn't find any return tickets do you just buy economy back?

Hello! Make sure that you are looking at Reward fares and not points + pay seats!
I can’t find anywhere that confirms that a Singapore business class ticket gives you access to Air NZ’s lounge. An anyone confirm please?

@ Yay! Finally I got some moral support from someone who agreed with me. 👍 I’m so glad I have just booked $24,000 of flights with Emirates and not SQ.
Tail Number 9V-SHA is incorrect. This is a A359 metal.
Oh good call! That was our flight home, my bad!
@@pointyend-secrets this aircraft is 9V-SWJ 😉
You were far quicker at finding that than me! Thank you!
The cabin light in the 777 looks terrible.
