Wow! The cane corso is an incredibly majestic and beautiful breedl. I recently had the pleasure of spending some time with a cane that was a service dog in training, and now I would really love to own one someday.They have a wonderful demeanor, but they do appear somewhat intimidating, and thus make fantastic guard dogs.
Thank you. My two Corsos will be a year old next month in June. They are maturing into fearless protectors yet very loving and gentle to the people they know and love. Truly an amazing breed.

Get another one it will bother you at first but once you see the dog in it's own light you'll be in admiration again. Believe me it was hard for me and I got a corso after a pitbull and wasnt the same at first.
These dogs are great my son has a 6 year old female & I have 2 females Bell takes more after the mastiff side she's 85to 90 lb's while Madea more like yours n her fetures is 108 to 110 lb's ,I've had them both sense they were 9weeks old& nothing could make me part with either except God& I'd probably give even him a hard time lol Bell is 6& Madea 5. it's a pain to see all those people who lack knowledge talking about docking of tail and cropping of ears. ears are cropped not only for aesthetic point of view,but it's beneficial to the dog. it avoids wax to collect and ticks to hide,also it makes the cleaning easier. cropped ears make it difficult for other dogs to bite in case of fight. does this dog looks ill treated? There's a reason they cut back the floppy ears.... Corsos are working dogs. Where they come from (Italy) they are used for protecting livestock, etc, and their skin is thick so they are ALMOST impervious to pain.. EXCEPT the highly sensitive area of the ears... they fight wolves, bears, and other large predators and clipping the ears makes them virtually unphased by pain.. However, nowadays, in most cases, they are not used for this so clipping the ears is just for aesthetics. Not really necessary. I have a beautiful Cards, looks just like this one but we didn't clip the ears or tail. Awesome dogs though either way.

I'm not a huge fan of cropping ears but if it is done painlessly then I don't see a big problem. This dog is absolutely gorgeous. This breed is way above my skill set but if it wasn't I would love to have one. Great job and I always love to see dogs eat raw. I have four dogs and prepare all their food myself. Commercial dog food is pure garbage. Huge thumbs up to you.
Great looking, Corso. Structure is on point. You can see the athleticism when he runs. Cane Corso might be a mastiff but they easily carry their weight at full gait.
I'm sure the long crop was intentional and while it's not a common crop for corsos I think it can look just as good as any dane or dobie! Not super popular for them but nothing wrong with it. The job's they're bred for today don't require a short crop like those of their war fighting ancestors did
What a beautiful dog, my dream is to own a Cane Corso. Grew up around powerful breeds like Pitbulls, German Shepherds, and some Boxers. Corsos are amazing dogs with great strength and loyalty. I currently own a majestic male German Malamute Wolf mix named Bruno. He'd be a great mentor for the Corso pup, Bruno is so calm and loving. Bruno has been confronted many times by Pitbulls and has kept his cool.

People need to shut up about cropping the dogs ears or tail. It's done when they are young and go under anesthesia so they don't feel it. After the healing process they never bother the dog and he can hear better in the long run. It's not animal cruelty, the animal is never in pain during this so shut up guys.

Dogs emerged from ancient wolves and they don't have floppy ears. That's the result of domestication by humans. One of the oldest dogs on the plant is the Pharaoh Hound and you can see he does not have floppy ears. I'm not sure about the tail, but ears were designed to be erect and alert.

The tail has already been chopped by the breeder. I asked my boyfriend why because i love the ears n personally thats the place i pet n touch first. He said they are a guard dog n it would get in the way if he did get into a fight with another dog. I guess it makes sense but still not sure how i feel bout it as he has beautiful ears. Hes my baby n dont want him to be in pain. Hes formentino so he has grey ear tips. I can't convince my boyfriend and im not the one buying it since its pretty expensive.

I got my first dog when I was about seven.She was a Cane Corso (the so called blue type) She was a really good girl, but definitely had her flaws,For example: whenever you gave her a treat she would get really excited and bite the tip of your fingers, and may I say it was not exactly a harmless bite.Although she got scolded for doing that on me, cause I was a little kid and learned to not do that on me. Unfortunately she died of disease, I don't exactly remember what it was called, but I was devastated, and it was worse, as I found out a few days after, cause my mom told me she would be fine, and told me to go sleep at a friend, cause she didn't want me to be in such a bad mental state during my exam. A few months after her death, I was ready to get another dog, but I didn't want a Cane Corso, cause it would give me memories of her, so I got a Havanese Bichon, but later my dad's dog died so he got a Cane Corso cause she absolutely loved the breed. He is still alive and ell to this day and I am really happy about that

Your right. My Corso is 4 months old. I got him at 8 weeks. He is 70lbs already. I couldn’t do that to his ears. His long ears are cool.
